Wonderful as always! Such a great impression with my colleagues that were experiencing Momofuku for the first time.
Not what I expected from a David Chang restaurant. It was ok but not great. Service was excellent.
I have been almost six times, but that was my last one. The food goes from fine to bad to worst. Clearly for me the chef is now being a celebrity instead of being a chef.
The food wasn't anything surprising. The service was good but only the waiter because the other people look clearly unhappy with their jobs, the bussers didn't take the time to explain the dish, they just put on the table, said something that it wasn't clear and they even don't look at you. The sommelier bring the bottle of wine opened, and I said wait, if I ordered a bottle of wine, I should see opened on the table, well his explanation was that they tried the wine before bringing you to the table, it what world that happen?
Definitely I won't go back again, maybe it doesn't mean anything for them, but I realize that before it took me a month to get a reservation there, and now I was able to make a reservation with two weeks in advance and it was the Valentine weekend. I am sure this place will close soon.
Everything was great. Highly recommend.
Had reservations, busy and noisy but a fun place, staff was engaging and attentive, smallish menu but good offerings, smallish wine list and a bit pricey. Food was very good with large portions, recommended.
Momofuku CCDC lived up to the hype - their food was excellent and the service was exquisite. We sat at the bar for happy hour and dinner and the bartenders working were attentive, knowledgable, and helpful. The food was gorgeous, fresh, and delicious. I cannot recommend this establishment highly enough.
Food was delicious! Very loud in the restaurant.
Take a group and share a large format meal with a few extras. You won’t find these dishes and flavors anywhere else.
A little pricey, but everything was delicious.
The worst part of my dining experience was that I had to wait 25 minutes after my reservation time. But they made up for it with a round of free drinks and dessert.
All good. Will come back.
Been wanting to try this restaurant for over a year — and we were so excited to find it in DC! EXCELLENT food, EXCELLENT service. Will totally come back next time we’re in the area!
This was our first time eating at Momofuku and it didn’t disappoint. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. The tri tip was absolutely amazing!
Had to wait 1/2 hour past our reservation time.
Service was excellent. The food was good, not great. Limited selection of food items. Kind of noisy. The room is all hard surfaces, so the noise doesn't get absorbed. Completely full on a week day night, so it's popular.
Impressive! We tried eight dishes, seven were exceptional and one was great. Ambiance and service top notch too.
Our server was a little on the quiet side and could have been a bit more attentive. We ordered the wings and hamachi to start, you cannot go wrong with either as they were delicious. The hand-cut noodles with clams and our sea bass were cooked perfectly and filled us up. We ended with birthday cake for dessert from the milk bar, but it was a bit dry. Overall we had a good experience. Our card received an extra charge however, the manager was very courteous about resolving the error. We expect to dine here again.
Unfortunately, a paper towel was found in my salad.
Amazing! It was my daughter's birthday and they did a great job. They also asked about allergies and help me avoid foods that would be an issue. What a wonderful experience with delicious food and a helpful staff!
Excellent food. Service a little slow but otherwise helpful and polite staff. Noisy and constricted, tables in close proximity.
We had a great experience- encourage booking an earlier table because it clearly fills up by 7 p.m. on a weeknight. The sunflower hozon was delicious, as were the handpulled noodles. I will be back!
Went for Restaurant Week and sampled all things on fixed menu. Wasnt a thing that we didnt love. Out of 4 other places, definitely won Restaurant Week for us.
Cool place and excellent service! I loved that they have good vegetarian options and everything we had was lovely.
Went with two others and tried everything on the restaurant week menu and everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place.
We went there to try the restaurant week menu and it was great!
Excellent food.. the best! And very creative meals
Went during restaurant week. Food was delicious. Nice choice of menu items offered on the restaurant week menu. Service was terrific.
What a fun restaurant to visit! The food was memorable and creative and tasty, and the service was spot on - not too involved, but just involved enough. My girlfriends and I came for restaurant week lunch and everyone really enjoyed the food- standouts were the kimchi potato salad which you wouldn't think would be great but alas it was! it was full of flavor and wasn't dry and had just the right amount of food. the pork rinds with pimento cheese looked delicious but i didn't get a chance to try one before they had were devoured by our group. my only issue was the sunflower / tahini dip really just tasted like plain hummus so that was underwhelming, but the branzino was cooked and flavored to perfection so that made up for it. also i loved the bright interior and glass surroundings which made the place feel very airy and energetic. will definitely be back.
Excellent and interesting food in a pleasantly bright and sunny dining room. We went for restaurant week, which was an excellent value for lunch.
Great food, great service! Lunch portions were a bit small but very satisfying. The beet and cucumber appetizers were really delicious and the chicharron was spectacular! Will definitely come back!
Great time, great food, fantastic service.
Excellent food. I can't make this stuff at home. A wide variety of very good flavors.
Momofuku is an excellent location for business lunches, with an open ambient atmosphere. I often recommend Momofuku to friends.
What a delightful experience! We were seated by the windows overlooking the lighted trees in the square, the music was audible but not loud enough that you felt like you had to shout over it, and the tables were spaced out in such a way that it never felt like we were in someone else’s space (nor they in ours). The food was all deceptively simple, but memorably delicious! Highlight of the meal was definitely the kimchi potato salad!
I’m so thankful that my brother and sister-in law got my boyfriend and me a gift card to come to CCDC (and Milk Bar). We don’t go into DC very often so this was a lovely treat!
Everything in the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, from the moment the nice hostess greeted us to our amazing waiter. Billy was kind, patient, and attentive — everything you look for in a perfect waiter! The food was also amazing! Even now, days later, my boyfriend and I still rave about the bing bread. Can’t wait to come back and try the dinner menu!
(Also shout out to the super friendly staff member who was manning Milk Bar next door. They were patient when it took me a long time to decide and they heated up my cookie which was delicious!!)
Food was good, but menu seemed very limited.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful meal here on Friday. The roast chicken was unbelievable, as were the spicy (not not actually too spicy) cucumbers and roasted cauliflower. And the chocolate sesame creme brulee: yum! The only weak link was the overly sauced sweet potatoes, which could have used a lighter hand in the kitchen. Overall, a delicious experience, and we look forward to another meal at Momofuku soon! :P
My office had our holiday party here in December so I decided to come back with my husband and some friends for dinner, who had only been at the restaurant for drinks. EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Our server was Alex and he knew the menu as if he cooked the food. We were there from 5:00 - 11:30 (yes, really), and they never made us feel uncomfortable, just kept checking to make sure we were ok. We had the sampler menu and the dishes got better as they came out. The cocktails were also very good. I can honestly say this is one of the best restaurants i've been to. Anyone who can make cucumbers taste like a delicacy is a great chef! The food was so good we are thinking of switching to this restaurant for our family Christmas dinner. All 9 of us.
We absolutely love this establishment! We've done date nights here and had a lot of fun trying new things! It was my mom's birthday and everything was positively perfect! Great spot!
The apps, cocktails, and smaller dishes were excellent. The main entrees were disappointing. Beef dishes were nothing special. The shellfish noodle dishes had sand in it. When we brought the sand issue to the attention of the chef, it was a “whatever” attitude. Quality, consistency, and customer satisfaction, on an average level, are not the chef’s priority evidently. The waiter was nice, but overwhelmed and inattentive. Manager should have stepped in to manage the situation. Was there a manager? If so, not a strong one for a Saturday night. Keep in mind, we had a large party of family friends visiting from out of town to celebrate my best friend’s 50th birthday. I chose Momofuku for its unique dishes and modern vibe. Never again.
