Beautiful inner garden and decor overall was notably classic Japanese. Happy hour is a great value big would stick to the sashimi plates. Service was attentive, thoughtful, and professional.
Everything was great, with two exceptions. We encountered a small difficulty when another person decided to join us; the online reservation system refused to accept the change, without explanation. No one answered a couple of calls, so I finally left a voice mail and we got a call back from someone who took care of the reservation change. The much bigger problem was that our table was in a large open room with a kitchen counter and so high a noise level that we could hardly think, much less converse. This was way, way, way beyond "energetic." It literally hurt. The restaurant was jammed, so changing rooms seemed out of the question. My wife and I have been to Momiji a number of times in the past, but we had never before been seated in that room; I hope we never are again.
Momiji is alway good to visit. It has really great mood, nice food, perfect place to date.
A dinner experience that always impresses. We loved the food/drinks (fresh sushi rolls, lychee martinis, etc.) ambiance (serene garden) and service (Alex was amazing, quick and easy to talk to). A friend is already begging to return!
The bear sushi and service I’ve ever had anywhere.
Amazing sushi, nice wine, great service. It was a pricey meal but the sushi was excellent!
I’ve been coming here for awhile as I live in the neighborhood and have always loved the food and service. The evening we went there was s a new bartender I’ve never seen. Right off the bat, he was very off putting and was a negative experience for us. Not friendly, not attentive, gave attitude. It was a hassle to get his attention and he seemed immune to giving a positive encounter, not to mention a semblance of a smile. The whole energy was bad. I’ve worked restaurant/hospitality/ customer service for almost two decades and am not prone to write critiques but this definitely deserved it. We dined Sunday, July 28th at the bar.
The garlic short ribs are always a treat!!
Always such an amazing restaurant experience. I have never been disappointed. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Seattle
Our CEO said it was excellent! Service and food were great.
Excelente! Momiji is the best sushi joint everrrrrrrtt
Happy hour was awesome: Excellent food, nice service.
Absolutely delicious. So much more than sushi. Highly recommend the king crab soup!
I've always had a great experience at Momiji. Making reservations was the right way to go.
The best quality seafood / sushi in Seattle in my opinion
Lovely experience. We sat in the garden and it was romantic and charming. The sushi was incredible, but loved everything!
Really good food but the wasabi was a little spicy for my taste. Flavors are interesting!
Got the runs right away. I was weary walking in with the "okay" good safety rating. Hoped it was going to be fine but... Two days of visiting the toilet
I took a trip to Seattle (from California) recently and this was the best dinner I had while out there! It's a beautiful place, service was awesome, and the food was incredible. I definitely recommend eating here and I'll be coming back on my next visit to Seattle.
Overall a good experience. Still needed to wait long with reservation
Overall food was good and quality was superb. Ordered two speciality rolls (one vegetarian/one non-vegetarian), gyoza, ginger chicken, an avocado cucumber roll, and a cocktail. All delicious. Only complaint is that it seems to be marginally more expensive than you would expect.
The grill fish cheeks and miso black cod were outstanding. Only minor issue is that the plates came out too fast.
Great cocktails, service was friendly and prompt. Large selection of speciality rolls and sushi, both were fresh and tasty.
The hostesses were somewhat rude when my party of 2 arrived 15 minutes late after having called 5-10 minutes before our reservation time to say we were behind schedule. No one answered the phone when we called so we didn't leave a message, and instead introduced ourselves with apologies & mentioned we had called but couldn't reach anybody. The hostesses were quite busy, and understandably, were a little bit short with us off the bat because they were dealing with so many people (Not a problem at all! Totally understand & have been a hostess myself). One gave us quite a bit of attitude when we introduced ourselves and asked if they still had room for us, which was frustrating as I had gone out of my way to be generous and understanding and put it on the table that we were late & I understand how inconvenient that can be. We ended up having to wait a short amount of time (Again, not a problem at all! To be expected), and had a wonderful meal. It just wasn't a great first impression.
Excellent specialty roll. We had a delightful time working our way through the select 5 sake flight. Perfect ambience for a date night in the city celebrating my partner’s birthday :)
The food was fantastic and on par with the price, however, the service was lacking. The staff was very nice but they only came by our table to take the order, drop food, and clean up. There was no check up half way through and not even an offer to purchase more. The restaurant wasn’t very busy so I’m not sure why this was the case. I would go back for the food and ambiance.
Was seated right away so we were able to get a few items on happy hour. Birthday dinner with three rolls and a round of drinks was around $60! Great price for delicious food (and whiskey :))
Always excellent, service, food quality, lovely room.
We celebrate the Father’s Day in this restaurant. It’s amazing. Each of us loves its Japanese garden and is very distinctive. The food is fresh and delicious.
The food was excellent, as always. The one complaint was we were in a room with a party with three children running around and being loud, and after speaking with the staff no one addressed it with them.
Food and service were excellent, as always. Back room is quite noisy during the dinner hour which made conversation very difficult.
We have loved Momiji for years but the service and food quality has gone down. And it’s too noisy. Hard to talk to the people at your table.
Great food, service and ambience but the noise level was really high.
The food was ok. There were some items that frankly just did not go together (tofu salad? With seaweed?) I think they need to rethink some of the texture combinations a bit. However, the restaurant was beautiful inside and the vibe was very zen. Also, our server ‘Alex’ was phenomenal! Very kind and patient, very knowledgeable and waited on us with finesse. He made the evening great.
We love the menu at Momiji, and it is a family favorite. The only downside to the experience was how loud it was. Service was good-but could have been better.
Great food! Fresh fish! Awesome happy hour!
We had a good time. Food was good, good selection if you are Vegan.
One of my favorite sushi restaurants in Seattle! The fish is really fresh and the rolls are pretty large in size. It also has great happy hour deals!
A friend came into town last minute and I was able to make a reservation and be seated on time. Kind wait staff and food was great portions. Highly recommend!!
