The best sushi I have ever had.
Good food and nice place. Highly recommended
New menu is amazing. Service was off the hook. Patrick in the bar provided great drinks and great service.
We enjoy the food. Their service was not great. The server was not curteous, we were eating and she just want to take our plates, we didn’t event finished the food. I believe it’s rude to take someone’s food plate when they are in the process of finishing it.
I came for my birthday and the host half-heartedly acknowledged this when taking us to our table. Our server seemed like she was in a very bad mood. She made no attempt to make us feel welcome. She definitely didn’t enhance the experience at all. The food and drinks were great. I would have liked to try dessert but I was never offered a dessert menu. I left the restaurant feeling disappointed.
Great spot, will good food. The Halibut Cheeks were terrific!
We went to Momiji for a birthday and were seated at the back. It was fantastic food, but the servers were hovering over us to move us along. We loved the drinks, too. It is worth the discomfort because the sushi is great!
I would recommend this restaurant as the food is outstanding, service was very good and the garden beautiful. However it was too noisy. Most of the noise came from the music that was turned up too loudly, as people seemed to compensate by talking louder, over the music. It was impossible to have a conversation in this beautiful restaurant.
The noise was almost unbearable. The food was outstanding. I will probably not go back because of the noise level.
All staff was friendly and courteous. Good food and good ambience
Based on last visit I wouldn’t recommend. Food order wrong 3X. Calamari over cooked. Loud as well
i wrote a special request in the open table reservation because it was a special celebration for my boyfriend but they didn’t notice it, so That was a bummer! Food was pretty good but less fresh than I remembered, and not the friendliest staff.
Love Momiji Happy Hour!
Fantastic service, great happy hour menu, and an excellent saké menu.
Delicious menu. All the way from a hearty miso soup (best I’ve had) to anything on the specialty sushi menu. Nothing disappointed. Definitely get a reservation - no matter what night of the week!
We went to Momiji restaurant to enjoy a meal with friends.
We ordered many plates to share. The specialty rolls were delicious and quite large, we also ordered some’ normal’ rolls which were also great.
We asked for 3-flight sake tasters and we asked our waitress to pick for us, all picks were great.
The price for what we ordered was great, I’ll definitely go back and try some other dishes.
The only down side of the evening was how loud the restaurant was. It was so loud we had to yell at the top of our lungs to hear one another. My friends voice was hoarse at the end of the evening.
The place was packed and everyone sitting around us seemed to be enjoying their meals.
Food and service were great, but this is definitely a young people's restaurant. Very crowded and extremely loud. Very difficult to carry on a conversation there.
Food was wonderful. However the hostess was a
Best sushi ever!
Absolutely love their sushi. nice ambience but you can't have a decent conversation because of the noise. Good service. Making a reservation is a must to avoid long wait.
Our party was led by three experienced Momiji eaters who guided us through the vast menu. We thought we would be eating Sushi (which looked marvelous) but this damp and chilly evening we chose Udon instead. The steamy rich handmade noodles hit the spot. We were seated in the back room which I understand was a little quieter than the other two. Yes, we could hear each other most of the time but when several tables near us emptied, the sound diminished. Had it been like that we would have given an overall rating of 5 stars.
The steamed edamame that was brought to the table when we sat down was a lovely surprise and took the edge off our appetites as we poured through the menu. In all we had miso soup to start and then the very large bowls of Udon. I took at least half of mine home for a second meal. One opted for Tempura which looked wonderful. I'll try that the next time. We also shared a nice bottle of wine.
Our total cost with 20% tip was $155. This was a grand meal at a very reasonable price.
Best happy hour in Seattle!
My extremely picky grandma had nothing to complain about during her dinner at Momiji! We both loved it! Take advantage of their happy hour if you want to try a bunch of their food!
Excellent choice of nagiri and sushi rolls. Specialty rolls were all awesome.
We went to celebrate a birthday. We were a little late for our reservations - we couldn’t find street parking right away. No problem getting a table, however it took over 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge us once we were seated.
SUPER accommodating staff and a server totally dedicated to making sure we experienced the best they had to offer. Overall an awesome evening--especially since I left my phone in my Uber upon arrival and the awesome folks at the front of the house were super understanding about my distress and need for help!!
Amazing food & service. Definitely on the pricier side but is worth it on special occasions
just yummy food! the short ribs were so good! But I did not like the limpy slimy seaweed on one of the sushi rolls. Other than that...Great!
Came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Had a really good time.
Great food, service could use some work, but one of the best places we’ve had sushi on the west coast.
The ambiance was warm and relaxing and twinkly, the food was superb. Lovely service , I can’t wait to come back.
This was the most disappoint dining experience of the year for our family. We waited over a week for a reservation and came on time to sit at the chefs counter. I am a vegetarian, my husband and son are not. The item on the menu that i was most excited abut was "sold out" at 6pm. So i got the pot stickers instead. They arrived with human tangled hair.... i let the staff know, the lady took it away quickly and spilled the sauce all over my pants. They brought a replacement that was fine. And offered a napkin and soda water. Then my vegetarian sushi roll from the vegetarian section came with fish eggs.... i was very up set at this point. The staff didn't seam to see how this was a big deal, I asked to speak to a manager but was told non were available, they gave me a business card with no direct phone number and no email address. They took a happy hour item and the pot stickers off the bill. But i am very very disappointed. For a restaurant that claims to be high end, they did not seem to care about food safety, or cleanliness. I will NEVER GO BACK, MY FAMILY WILL NEVER GO BACK, and we will let all of our friends, and family know what our experience was like.
Always good. Always expensive. Always noisy.
Awesome food, awesome service, awesome ambiance. Only suggestion I'd have for the restaurant is to slightly lower their music volume but that's a casual preference :)
Reasonable prices for a good date night!
Great food, great service. Very loud though so don’t recommend planning a business meal.
Food was fresh as always! Service was polite and paced well. Some of our party arrived early and were sat right away.
Service just seems to get worse with each visit. And this is a “go to” favorite restaurant. But it’s getting tiresome to have such inattentive waitstaff. And this isn’t the first visit it’s been a problem. But it’s first time It’s been bad enough that I needed to write about it
