Led by chef and owner Hector Diaz, Modesto features a farm to table approach to upscale wood-fired Italian. The menu changes twice daily and includes a variety of fresh seafood, fine meats, and house made pastas. Pizzas are hand-tossed and cooked in a wood fired oven made in Italy. To compliment your meal, our bar offers over 30 exclusively Italian wines as well as a dynamic list of classic and cutting edge cocktails. Desserts are made from scratch, including our famous tiramisu, and we proudly serve SRO Coffee.

    My husband and I have eaten out for years in many locations. We now live in Asheville and go to Modesto often. We think this is the best food in Asheville.

    Excellent food! Great atmosphere. Really kind service. They went above and beyond to give me a meal I enjoyed by offering to mix two menu items. So lovely!

    Love that in addition to the amazing regular items that they have amazing creative fresh fish dishes. The servers have fun personalities and on top of their game.

    Loved the grilled Romaine salad. I’ve only had it a few times in the past, but this was spectacular. Make sure to ask for some bread!

    Has been a favorite for many years -- Great to take clients and business associates to get a great meal which will be remembered to be sure to return to in the very soon -- Hector keep up the great standard you have set fir yourself --

    Dined on a busy Saturday night. Michele was helpful with selections and wonderfully enthusiastic. Specials were just that..special. Fish and scallops prepared perfectly and plated with a very nice combination of risotto and seasonal vegetables. The variety of tastes around the plate were constantly changing and all very nice. Portions were larger than we were expecting. A wonderful night. Looking forward to next visit.
