We loved our experience - the ambience was so wonderful
Perfect outdoor setting
We started our lunch by having a house specialty cocktail, mine was the white sangria that was very refreshing, we then shared the creamy lobster and shrimp appertizer and the all proteine roll, both were absolutely delicious.
I had the pistachio crusted salmon salad which was also excellent.
Our waiter Alphonso was very helpful in guiding us with our selections and was very sweet. We ate in the patio which was well organized in keeping everyone social distanced and yet intimate.
I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Best outdoor dining experience. Well run restaurant worked as a team and manager was checking in on tables. Loved the poke taco and the Dover sole almandine. Would love to have had more room to try the desserts.
Loved the menu - wide selection of healthy choices that were well prepared and delicious. We shared a variety of appetizers including sushi and sashimi. The service was the best we have experienced in the valley and the martini was perfect! Tell Mitch that Gerald and Coco say hello!
Service is awesome amd food always great quality!!
everything was perfect and delicious...we are going back for dinner!
Service and food were outstanding
Everything from start to finish was wonderful!!
A gem in the industry that shouldn't be missed if you appreciate good food topped with excellent service and the warm welcome & generosity of the owner, Mitch, himself.
Delicious food at a great price considering Mitch’s is a higher end restaurant. Our service was very good! We enjoyed the surf and turf and would absolutely order it again! Mitch even came by to see how we were enjoying our meal! I think they do a great job social distancing on their outdoor patio. The bread pudding we had for dessert was absolutely some of the best we’ve ever had!
This by far was one of the top five experiences that my husband and I have ever had at the restaurant! The food was on point I got the dock it was amazing my husband ordered the chili and Seabass which was out of this world! We started off with a sushi roll the 808… To die for! And ended our experience with the balloon cake! What a presentation! We wanted to come the next day, but it was a Monday and they were closed. We drive up from Redondo Beach quite often and stay at the JW. We typically never leave the hotel . We actually stayed at a friends house this time and were looking for a good place to eat that still had high level service and high quality food with COVID restrictions. Needless to say Mitch’s hit it out of park! We will be back for sure!!
This was a great venue for my love and I to have a wonderful dinner. The waiter was delightful and made some stellar suggestions. Mitch was actually there making sure everything ran smooth. Food was DELICIOUS! We are liking forward to going back and trying everything on that menu.
OMG this place is awesome. Ordered ribeye and Chilean sea bass and both were cooked to perfection. Afterwards we we leaving and I happened to meet Mitch the owner. He took the time to greet and thanked us for coming. We were in town for weekend from Orange County. We will definitely come back.
From start to finish, this was an amazing experience. Our server was so kind to run back and forth a lot to ensure the food we ordered wouldn't have any allergens in it. The food arrived quickly and it was such high quality and the portions were sizable. The best part was the bread pudding even though I had Lobster for my entree! What was also impressive was that we were greeted by Mitch himself - not because we're special but beacuse he simply makes an effort to make contact with all his guests. It's obvious that he truly cares about this restaurant. I would highly recommend!
We had an amazing time at Mitch's Everyone there was great, the food and service was excellent. Mal was our server and we were very impressed.
We had a wonderful time for our 1 year anniversary dinner! The service was wonderful and the food is always excellent.
Always great food. The service was outstanding. Beautiful patio where we celebrated a birthday with a fabulous dessert.
Great value and great service with delicious meal!
Had a fantastic evening. Dinner was delicious, service was on point and Mitch himself stopped by to ensure we were enjoying ourselves. Definitely coming back!!
Great choices on the menu. Service was great and the food was fantastic.
We had such a fun time after being cooped up for so long. We enjoyed our food, waiter a the the
Great ambiance!! We will be back soon!!
Excellent food and great service
A bit hectic at first but calmed down and felt quite safe
A lovely overall experience
A special place for all occasions
Mitch's always provides a delightful experience, and Thursday, Feb. 18 was no exception. The place was full and hopping, a real pleasure after months of sequestration. Tables were appropriately spaced and the entire staff was appropriately masked, making my partner and me truly comfortable. Our dishes, Ahi tartare, octopus in cucumber salad, a BK roll and shrimp and lobster with crispy fried rice, were excellently prepared with one slight exception, the lobster tail served on top of the shell was dry and thus tough. Overall, however, the food was at the top of the scale for the area. Mitch's has an excellent, fairly priced wine list with depth and excellence among its Pinot Noir offerings. Service was excellent and well paced. Although at present reservations are time limited, we felt no rush whatsoever. Altogether a top of the line experience.
Mitch’s is fantastic! Love the food, atmosphere and service. Just a wonderful place to go for dinner.
Excellent server. Great food. Neat crowd.
Decided to meet a friend for lunch since we both hadn't been to Mitch's in a couple years. Patio looks totally different with high back booths blocking the dirt (which used to be beautiful grass). That said the food and service was excellent. The waiter helped us choose a bottle of wine which was exactly what we were describing. I had the prawn louie salad and my friend had the Ahi sandwich. Both were excellent. Highly recommend!
We brought another couple here for dinner. Our waiter Was a young man named Michael. He did nothing to enhance our dining experience but did complete the necessities. Perhaps he needs to be trained on interacting with customers. He seemed disinterested and was perhaps having a busier than usual night and was overwhelmed. The food was adequate but not remarkable. I will say that my steak was prepared exactly as I had ordered and was very good.
The outdoor patio here is very nice and it was very busy so the energy level was great! We have eaten here before and would again but care and attention needs to be given to staff and quality of food.
The food was amazing and our server, Mallory, was fantastic!
Perfect night out!! Great for families. Great for dates. Great food!!
I started with the French onion soup, my fiancé had a house salad. They were good. For entrees we both had fish & chips and enjoyed them very much. We saw the calamari at the next table and have decided to try that next time!
Came for Valentine’s Day and it was a great choice. Their patio that they are using during COVID is amazing. I get very cold and they sat me right next to a lovely fire pit which made the visit an immediately great solely based on ambiance. Our server was great, she was so delightful... I unfortunately cannot remember her name. I got the filet and the sauce was a little over-salted which was disappointing, however it was cooked perfectly (med/rare as asked). The poke tacos are phenomenal as was the Sea Bass. Also, I love how it’s finer dining, but the music was modern and still fun! Overall, great experience and would recommend.
Amazing service! Mitch was the best host :)
Great service, Mitch is hands on owner made my party very comfortable and enjoyed his personal attention to detail.
Definitely going back again very soon..
Great sushi and entrees. Great wine and saki recs from the house
The tables were MUCH too close together given the Covid situation. The restaurant had made no rearranging of their tables from their usual layout.
Revisited Mitch’s again last evening...had a WONDERFUL dinner. Service was outstanding (Jenna was our server), the food was as good as ever, and tables were appropriately spaced to fit with the Covid situation.
Best restaurant in Palm Desert!
I’ve been very wary of dining since last March, but it was important to my boyfriend we have a nice dinner date for Valentine’s Day(our second together), and we found a last minute opening. I had flashbacks to my much younger years clubbing there after dinner at Yardhouse when it was Augusta. But I also remembered what a beautiful venue it is. The patio was temperature controlled comfortably with heat lamps.
I am so happy we went. Everyone was polite and professional, people were being safe as possible, the food was beautiful and tasted fabulous. He started with Cesar Salad and I had caprese. The asparagus soup had sold out, sadly. He had the lamb and I had the tenderloin. Both were very good, including the sides. The dessert menu was sensational, we had the apple dumpling with vanilla gelato which was amazing. We will be back.
The owner was visibly circulating and greeting guests, very congenial, and the staff was all great. The hostesses earlier in the day on the phone had been very patient and helpful to both of us on separate calls, especially Gabby.
Thank you for a spontaneous and surprisingly wonderful Valentine’s Day😻
We went to Mitch’s, our all time favorite restaurant, for Valentine’s Day and they knocked it out of the park as usual. Their food is amazing and their staff and owners are truly awesome!
Everything was great. Service wonderful. Large Patio very well appointed but cozy. Only comment from guests that liquor poor could be a little more generous for the prices. Otherwise one of the best places in town.
