We stopped here for lunch on our way to Palm Springs! What a pleasant surprise! Our salads were perfect and so fresh! Absolutely delightful!
We came here to celebrate family visiting from out of town. This was a great opportunity to combine sightseeing and eating lunch. The Inn is beautiful and the staff is wonderful.
My birthday was spent with sisters and cousins. A wonderful time!
Always exed my expectations, I will return for any special occasions.
I have eaten here many times before but this time I was disappointed. The ambiance was the same but the experience was different. Here is why: 1) Even though the restaurant was nearly empty (5:45pm) the five parties present were all seated right next to each other. This is done for the convenience of the staff not the customer. Bugs me. 2) No chef specials-menu only. 3) My entree was rotisserie chicken. It was overcooked and dried out. How do you mess up rotisserie chicken? My wife wanted me to send it back but I didn't want to wait for a new meal. 4) Service was ok. Polite but not warm or particularly attentive.
When I spend Mission Inn ($55 per person) type prices I expect more. I'm seeing this more and more at upscale dining places in our area. I'm not sure why. I know California labor laws are causing restaurant costs to sky rocket. Frankly, I can eat much better at home without listening to the table next to me and save a couple hundred bucks.
The food was not cooked as requested and the limited choices made it difficult to have a good selection
Delicious margaritas in a beautiful setting.
Staff was very helpful and it was a great meeting...
Food is always excellent as was our waiter Gerardo.
Food was really good. Table service was great. My reason for 4 stars is we made reservations, our table was supposed to be on the patio. They said they were preparing the table and it would be 15 min. No problem. Almost 30 min later they walked us to a table that was setup just outside the patio, missing the ambiance and experience completely. That's when I noticed a patio table empty, that still needed to cleared. I assume the party at that table just took longer than expected and they tried to find a solution. Thankfully they cleared that table quickly for us to actually experience the patio, even if it was so longer after.
Absolutely amazing! Delicious food and fantastic service!
Great staff never once went dry over a drink love the atmosphere as well
The apptmt system: great. The waiters: great. The Food quite poor and unexpected for this location. A Chef needs to supervise the quality of the food at the Mission Inn restaurant to be close to the Duane's restaurant quality or at the least be tastier.
The app says that there is burgers and a turkey club sandwich on the dinner menu. It is part of the lunch menu and needs to be corrected. Only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of that and it limited our dining choices for dinner. We decided on the buffet. The food was delicious though!
We made reservations for our valentine day date , the atmosphere was great and the architecture was amazing, the food was delicious and our waiter was awesome, with his recommendations and brief history of the mission he made our date even better. We’ll come back as we hear the Sunday brunch is also awesome.
My husband and I had a lunch date here and it was absolutely beautiful. Staff was friendly, food was delicious, and prices were fair. Will definitely recommend this place.
My husband and I visited the Mission Inn restaurant for an after Valentine's breakfast. We loved sitting outside in the courtyard and our server Beth was the best. It made for an enjoyable start to our date day!
Always great at the Mission Inn Restaurant. My waitress made me two of the best Lemon Drop Martinis.
Came here for a bridal party breakfast, it was absolutely perfect venue for it!! The prices are reasonable, food was amazing, and the service was top notch. Will be coming back for other meals.
Enjoyed great service and excellent food for dinner.
Beautiful atmosphere and the food was delicious. Using Open Table to make our reservation was easy and convenient. Great experience.
Everything about this restaurant was AMAZING!!!
We’ll be back!!!!
The quality of the food served has gone down from our visit last year. It seems there were fewer offerings on the buffet table. The desserts which were outstanding and so beautifully prepared, at our last visit, were so changed. These desserts could have been purchase at WalMart. I expected beautiful selections, and was so disappointed. Ordinary dry cupcakes with heart sprinkles do not qualify for fine dining.
It’s like being in another country. Beautifully designed, delicious food, and wonderful staff. Will be going there again :)
Had a wonderful pre-birthday dinner on the patio with a girlfriend. The ambiance was lovely and the food was awesome.
Hector our server was attentive and personable. He made our dinner a fantastic experience. The food was truly delicious.
I came here for my anniversary with my husband. We went to the Ritz Carlton for our last anniversary, and payed the same amount as here, and here we received half the food, and half the service. At the Ritz Carlton they made our evening so special the server was amazing and kind and was promptly and sat us away from others so we could have some privacy as this was a special night. We got a large amount of food on each of our plates including mashed potatoes, filet minon, lots of asparagus, broccoli, and a side salad. At the end of our dinner they gave us a very small desert and wrote “happy anniversary” on it. With 2 alcoholic beverages included, we payed 120$ without tip, and it was an amazing experience with a view. Here at the mission inn, we got a very small amount of food, including a filet minon, 3 pieces of asparagus, and two small raw carrots. The woman who walked us to our table told us “happy anniversary” once and that’s the last we heard of it, they sat us in the middle of three large tables with 4+ people at each table so we were squished and had no privacy, our server was kind and prompt, but at the end of the night when we finished eating and we’re finishing our drinks, our server came over 3 times in a 10 minute period persistently asking if we wanted more water even though we both had water left in our glasses. It felt as though she was suggesting we were drunk and needed water, and she was becoming very pushy, so we quickly finished our drinks and left. With 2 alcoholic beverages included, we payed 140$ without tip!!
Our service was less than attentive. Even though we repeatedly told our waiter we would let him know when we were ready to order, he kept stopping to ask. Also, I had to ask specifically three times just to get more hot water for my tea. And even though I was the only guest there, valet service took more than 5 minutes to bring my car around.
I was there with a small child and was surprised to learn that there was no small size for French fries. The only size they offer is a big plate of fries. I don’t want my kid to think that a big plate of fries is a good lunch, or any kind of lunch. Ugh!
Also, for a more upscale place, I am surprised they don’t have more vegan items on the menu. If you want a vegan entree, it’s going to be a salad and not much else. Their veggie burger is vegetarian, but not vegan. I go to an event every year at the Riverside Convention Center, and they blow everyone away each year with their vegan option. Maybe have a word with them? Other than that, very nice ambiance, and friendly wait staff.
My husband used to stay at Mission Inn in the 1950's. This was my 1st time there and I was so impressed! It is a BEAUTIFUL hotel filled with one beautiful detail after another. Mission Inn Restaurant is beautiful, relaxing and we had a great time for lunch. Our server, Jen, was terrific! My husband had the salmon with rice and seasonal vegetables. He loved it. I had the battered White fish and it was outstanding. For dessert we shared the brioche Apricot bread pudding. It is the best bread pudding we've ever had! We can't wait to return!
Buffet was delicious, especially the tempura mahi mahi. Great selection of foods and deserts. Ambiance perfect
I thought that the Lunch buffet was very poor, especially for the price. Was expecting a much better selection after reading the web-site. Would not drive from Palm Springs again.
The lunch buffet was excellent with many choices, I am currently on the keto diet and found that there was plenty for me to choose from and my guest who is not on the keto diet; also had many choices. My only disappointment was they did not bring her a birthday dessert.
Ham was chewy as hoping there were more options but it was great regardless.
Fantastic place. Brunch vast was delicious. Great service and the best ambiance. Absolutely great experience
Always an amazing time having breakfast or lunch with an beautiful view
Although the prices were a bit on the higher side, the steak, (ribeye) and the shrimp pasta my wife ordered were excellent portions. We definitely will be returning in the future!
Pricey for rotisserie chicken and mash potatoes that weren't warm
The rolls were somewhat cold and too hard. Had to remind the server to bring my coffee. Other than that, it was v. good.
amazing food, ambiance, service. Thank you. Our first but most certainly not our last visit.
