We had a lovely meal from the buffet. Perfect for people with special dietary needs. Save room for delicious desserts! Santa even came to our table!

Whitefish was on the menu. I asked the server what type? She said Lake Superior. I ordered it. I believe that I got cod. I would not have paid that price for cod. Since the type was not on the menu it was most likely the servers fault. It was good for cod but over half was too tough to eat. Cole Slaw was not good but the rest was good and the bread was great.

Be careful of what you order. If I had to do it again, I would have insisted that the server check with the chef.

From beginning to end the service was terrible. We brought our daughter there to celebrate her birthday. Our waitress never checked on us, no water refilled, no utensils, soup ordered wasn’t served, half of the table got there food while the other had to wait, it was terrible. Broke my heart for my daughter. A $200 dinner waste.

Beautiful settings for celebrating. Even more gorgeous during Christmas. It’s busy during this time so the waiters were not very timely. All in all great experience.

The overall experience was dampened due to being seated at 9:30 pm with an 8:30 pm reservation.

We were celebrating our anniversary. I made reservations a month ahead. We were seated 35 minutes AFTER reservation time. Hostess was rude. Told hostess my husband was diebetic, so he NEEDED to eat . She did not seem to care. Very dissapointed with our evening. Service inside was poor, we did not get our drinks till after we started to eat. Bread came when we were almost done dining.

The Inn is a wonderful place to celebrate the Christmas season, all decked out in lights, animatronic characters and beautiful decorations. The restaurant is very bustling and the host station somewhat inattentive. We had to wait about a half hour past our reservation time before we were seated. The service in the dining room was attentive. And while the menu is very traditional, the food wss delicious!

My friends and I went to see the Festival of Lights, that was well worth the trip! Our table at the Mission Inn restaurant was perfect, however, the food was average. We all ordered the shrimp and pasta. The shrimp was good, but the dish had no flavor! The bread was very good. The service was slow. Am I glad we went? Yes! But I wouldn't return just for the food or the service.

We had a wonderful time, our server was exceptionally attentive and helpful, and he made the dinner a delight. The Mission Inn's outdoor dinning is classic anytime of the year, but at Christmas time it is truly delightful.

Dining at The Mission Inn always feel's like a special occasion. The setting is just beautiful with all the history, flowers, statues and lights. Sitting on the patio is a must to enjoy the stars. During the holidays it is so festive, we had pictures taken with Santa and by the Christmas Tree.
We had a wonderful server who worked very hard and the food was excellent. The Lemon Drop Martini is delicious!

The buffet on this day seemed to be off. Food was great but they were really slow at restocking the food. People were standing around waiting for the food to be replenished and that took away from the experience. They ran out of salad, shrimp, the meats and fish and we had to keep going back to just get a complete meal. People were complaining that the buffet was running out of items? It wasn't busy for the buffet to be running out of food and people standing around waiting for different dishes. Our water was great but the buffet service lacked on this particular day.

My family has been having an annual Christmas brunch here for years now. In the past, they served hash browns, but not last weekend. We really missed those. A dinner-type potato at breakfast is a bummer.

It was a wonderful evening. In the beginning the service was a little slow. Once Cindy, our server found out no one had been to our table, she took over. Cindy was exceptional. She was personal, caring, knew the menu, wines, and cocktails like the back of her hand. She was very professional. Excellent server!
The food wasn't very good. Our appetizer, calamari was tough and chewy. Our steaks were very chewy, the garlic shrimp dish was over cooked and served cold. The shrimp was tough. The only good dish was the meat and cheese dish. The drunken goat cheese was very good. It was my first time trying it. I would recommend this dish to everyone.

We went to the Mission Inn Restaurant for our 37th Wedding Anniversary dinner and to celebrate the Festival of Lights. We requested and got a patio table where the courtyard was beautifully lit with Christmas lights, decorations and animated characters! There is a heater at every table so while it was a cool evening, it was very pleasant at our table. We had the Orange Grove Salad, Herb Roasted Half Chicken and the Classic filet Mignon. The salad appears to be a Signature dish and was Excellent. What a blend of ingredients in this salad! The Herb Roasted chicken was a recommendation from the waiter and also was awesome. The chicken is marinated for hours making it very tender and juicy! The filet mignon could be cut with a fork, it was that tender. It was a great Anniversary dinner and we will definitely go back again!

Disappointing first visit to the Inn. The Light Festival was magnificent, but our $42 prime rib from the buffet was barely warm. The buffet itself needed refreshing. Not worth the price.

Our server was sweet but very distracted; this was the only downside. Stayed one night for the Festivsl of Lights so the entire Inn was beautifully decorated. The heated patio was comfirtable and the food was delicious! We both had the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked. The au jus was very tasty as was the side of roasted fingerling potato with asparagus. Our salads were large and fresh with wonderful dressing. All in all it was a lovely meal.
