Asked for the Buffalo burger to be done medium with no cheese and it came out very rare with cheese. Sent back and it still came back with cheese. Service was very slow. We still like to come here for the food selection and value.
We made a reservation for an anniversary dinner, not knowing how busy they would be for a week night. Probably didn't need one unless you wanted to sit at the bar. Service was good and food was absolutely excellent.
Food was outstanding. My wife said her shrimp was the best shrimp has ever had in her life. We will definitely be back!

The food was delicious. We had the black and bleu chislic for an appetizer. We had pork marsala and sirloin steak for entrees. All 3 were excellent! The quantity was just a little small but at least we're not uncomfortably full when we left. The staff was not quite as good as we would have expected for a place of this caliber. However, it's very hard to be personable and inviting with the required facemasks for Covid. That has to make their job much more difficult. Overall best restaurant we have eaten at in more than a year.

We arrived at 11:15 for a reservation and the staff did not acknowledge us for awhile. My wife asked if they were open and the server had to “ask someone to see”. The food was good and the server was friendly, but not a great overall experience.

The food was good. It is a great place to visit since it is fairly quiet. Our waitress has been the same the last three times. She is awesome.
I ate at Minervas twice in one week. I like the overall atmosphere and service, however both times the food was disappointing. I had the whisky sirloin steak. I ordered medium. I was very well done, not a hint of pink. Three others at our table had the same overdone steak. I did like the whiskey sauce. Next time I had chicken which was barely Luke warm, but the potatoes was hot. I ate in the pub side the first time and in the quieter side the second. Atmosphere and noise levels were appropriate for each side. I probably won’t go back, the food was disappointing

Table for 6 to celebrate a birthday. Typical atmosphere with less than pre-COVID crowd and servers. Took longer to get a drink than expected. Our meal was excellent after waiting quite a while for it.

When I read that this restaurant was in a hotel, i had second thoughts but it was amazing! The food was delicious and service great. I would highly recommend it.

Ordered:
flatbread bruschetta. Lots of cheese with only a few tomatoes sprinkled on it.
Side salad was much smaller than I expected (even for a side salad). Had the shaved Parmesan chips which I like!
Penne pasta with vodka cream sauce, side of marinara. Asked for spicy and it was delicious!
Steak: very good!
Cocktails were okay.
Wine by glass limited so we order a bottle of the Silver Oak. Good!
In hindsight, we should’ve asked if we could bring our own and paid a corkage.
We were surprised to see the salad bar open during Covid 😱. They had a sign requiring people to wear gloves but nothing about masks. We didn’t partake.
It was our first visit, there to celebrate a special bday (which I noted on my res).
We were sat in the back by the stacks of high chairs and server ordering kiosk and maybe the bathrooms, which we didn’t like but they said was the only booth they had for us. Oh well.
The tables also have the little black plastic cups with sugar packets (like Denny’s) which I was also surprised about.
Overall, ambiance wasn’t exactly what we expected (pictured much nicer based on Open Table images).
However, the staff was great and our entrees were very good!
Had the parmesan/gorgonzola "encrusted" ribeye with mashed potatoes. Should have said "with melted parmesan/gorgonzola. Not crusty at all, but done well otherwise. Came with salad but no seasonal vegies as menu said. Our server said he'd been having issues with the chef/manager about taking shortcuts and brought us a side of asparagus. Mask was on 50% of the time but he said we didn't need to worry about him being healthy. "Tiramisu" had a very thick coating of whipped cream? on top but no cocoa powder. When we asked him, he said the chef said they didn't have any cocoa powder. The chef definitely needs a refresher on making quality, authentic tiramisu and providing a vegie side with the steak and potatoes. We did get salads which were good, but it's standard to get a salad AND vegie with your main dish. Used to be much better. Step it up!! Or you're going to lose more business unrelated to Covid. Server was very friendly and attentive and went out of his way to make our experience as enjoyable as possible.
Needed gluten free, ordered from GF menu , still came with croutons!
Special was scallops on bed of risotto. Scallops were seared well and tasted very good. A little small for the price. Risotta was a tad undercooked, but had great flavor. Vodka salmon, Champagne chicken and seared salmon were all big hits with my party.
Foods was all good, the steak was perfect.
But I'm writing because of the great hospitality and helpfulness. It was 10pm and we were having a hard time getting a ride back to the hotel

We have eaten here many times before & always enjoyed it. We both had pasta dishes. Mine was the special, it was okay. My husband’s was really not good enough to bring home.

Food was good. Wife wanted a Filet for our 43rd ann. Did not have it on the menu but had steak tips, why?
We had a get together with an out of town friend. The food was great, the service was exemplary, and I love the comfortable chairs and quiet place to visit! I always enjoy the Rapid City Minerva’s.

I hope I come back soon! We really liked the presentation of the coconut shrimp and the steak was really good. Unfortunately I wasnt a fan of the parmesan wedge fries. Service was phenomenal and honestly the price wasnt to bad for a nice restaurant like Minervas!
I must say I was extremely disappointed. Made a Valentine's day reservation 2 weeks in advance. Arrive at 6:10 for a 6:15 reservation and am told there are 10 groups before us. They hadn't even sat the 5:45 reservations. Poor scheduling on there part. Couldn't even give us an idea of when we would be able to be seated. Waited 20 minutes then gave us. I will be hesitant to try again.
Dinner was amazing, service was on point as usual. Food and portion size was great.
