milk & honey
Thursday - Saturday: 5p - 12:00a
The staff were amazing and very knowledgeable. The food was amazing with the chicken flautas being our favourite. We would definitely go back when next in Santa Barbara.
Devine the manager makes eating here so worthwhile !
Always dependable for savory food, Milk and Honey is a favorite. Devin provides an attentive overview of the restaurant. The drinks are excellent; though I only dine there every few months, they remember how I like the Makers Mark Manhattans. Always savory food and the desserts and coffee are excellent too. One of my favorite places in town. Prices are reasonable for the quality.
Came here with my husband for new years eve and was loved every second. I wish we would have come a bit hungrier because everything on the menu sounded amazing. The staff was wonderful, we were seated quickly with on point service. Was the perfect way to start our evening in Santa Barbara.
Always a good time at Milk & Honey
My husband and I went here on New Year's Eve. We had a table for two in the back. The booths are small and have curtains that divide each table. Very private vibe. The food was awesome. Each dish we tried was great. Highly recommend the brie dish and tuna tartare.
This was a fun, hip and noisy dinner spot, crowded and with slightly weird seating - tables scrunched into areas that shouldn’t have tables. The food was tasty but not amazing for the most part. We really enjoyed the corn and the sliders, also the pork and rice. The patatas bravas and sprouts sprouts were just boring and mediocre. Several dishes had the same basic ingredients and just loads of cheese on many things. I think the menu needs to be reworked a bit. But we had a garnacha that went well with the food and the atmosphere was young and fun.
Absolutely horrendous food. Why does everything have to have sugar?
The food and service and value was so good we came back a second time!
Do not recommend a place for families with children. Typical date night scene, crowded, and small tables. If you arrive earlier to your reservation time, you will not get the table reserved for you, which came as a surprise.
This place was an unexpected gem! Everything was delicious and the staff was wonderful!
We are much older than the average guest. We loved our experience. Tasty food, a bit different from most places—and better. And it is very reasonably priced.
Having been there three times recently and enjoyed it, I recommended it for a Birthday dinner and was really disappointed in the “front of house” experience. I had made the reservation quite some time before the date for 4 people. When we arrived, we were seated at three tables pushed together for 6. I asked, if we could move one of the tables over just a bit to make the ambiance better. It turned into a major and needless production on the part of the hostess. She made us feel awkward and unwelcome. Very disappointing.
Loved the updates to the menu, but I keep coming back for that Ahi Tartare!!
We have been to milk & honey several times, and they continue to turn out delightful dishes from a pleasing menu, in a warm atmosphere with solid service. What’s better than that? On our last visit we brought friends from LA, who love to seek out good restaurants when home or traveling, and they were delighted as well.
Absolutely love this place PB&J sliders are wicked good. Also best Pickle back shots in town!!
Amazing food, just a little disappointed by the overall service.
I wasn't sure this was going to be the real deal.....it was and I can't wait to go back. Everything we tasted was fantastic. Wanted to order another round of everything it was that good. Judy was a great server and helped us navigate the menu with a food allergy. Dimly lit, cool decor, great flavors, interesting combinations, bartenders shaking up tasty cocktails.....
Our server did a wonderful job of taking care of our party of 10. All the food and drinks I tried were wonderful--loved the Gambas Alcazar! Cozy, stylish ambiance, too.
Hadn't been back to Milk & Honey for years, but glad we did! Out of three dishes we ordered two were excellent and one was very good. So not a dud in the whole array. The most outstanding was a new addition to the menu - Raw Ahi Tuna chopped, with black truffle oil and a glaze of guacamole. Nirvana! At $16 it was on the more expensive side but worth it. Their Gambas Alcazar were also excellent. Large shrimp cooked just right (Goldilocks style) with just the perfect combo of garlic and butter, served on cilantro rice. The chicken enchilada would have been a standout at any other restaurant, but just didn't dazzle compared to the other two. The cocktail we ordered was not our favorite, but I blame our taste (the Aperol bitters work in some cases, but for us, not in this case). Why the four stars? The dim lighting required iPhone usage to read the menu. The 'romantic' booths faced the prep stations and discouraged lingering meals because of their board-straight seating. A major complaint! Why do restaurants love this aesthetic at the cost of their customers' comfort of a certain body part used in sitting? But we're going to Milk & Honey again, no fail, for the delish food - and will bring our own cushion!
Fantastic food...very unique and wonderful variety of flavors.
This is my second time to Milk and Honey and again it was Fantastic! I have been with friends and on a date and this place is perfect for either occasion. I would definitely suggest getting several of the smaller side plates to share as the majority of them are delicious.
The chickenchilda and the brie were out of this world. Corn, brussel sprouts, and shrimp tacos were really good too. Bartender made excellent drinks and took time to make sure they were what we wanted. I wish I lived in Santa Barbara so I could go back regularly. The brie!!!
Busy but seated quickly. Great drinks food and service
Does anyone else always leave Milk & Honey still feeling hungry? No matter how many tapas we get or money we spend, I'm always hungry after eating here. The portions are TINY, but, I must admit, they're very tasty. However, for the price, I'm always a little unsatisfied. That said, the food is good, as are the happy hour drink prices.
Loved the food! Good portions for it being tapas and everything was tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and the ambiance was perfect for my mother's birthday celebration. Definitely would want to go back.
Excellent Tapas with some unusual features, very friendly service.
Very watery coffee, even by American standards
Fantastic tapas, wine and service! All of the dishes were amazing
Visited this cozy spot while in Santa Barbara for a wedding. We came because of the wonderful reviews and it didn't disappoint! Our server was very attentive, the cocktails were outstanding, and there wasn't a thing we didn't enjoy off the tapas menu. Would definitely dine here again if we were local to the area.
Always enjoy the outdoor seating with the firepit. The food is great ... small, creative, plates ... and the wait staff have always been extremely friendly and accommodating.
I had not been to Milk and Honey for a while as there are so many choices in SB. There are some great new things on the menu (lamb tacos were so good that we ordered another round). It took more time that usual to get noticed by the server. I think there was some confusion among the crew as to whose table we were sitting at but once Devyn figured out it was her table, she was very attentive.
Loved this place !
Interesting and tasty mix of tapa type dishes. Service is excellent as the staff is on the ball with bringing food out, engaging customers to discuss the dishes and all with smile.
Excellent food and cocktails
Our server barely paid us any attention, she would drop off food we managed to order before we had a chance to tell her what else we wanted to order. The good thing is that food does come out fast so once we did manage to get a word in we didn't have to wait too long for the food. But the server would never ask us if we wanted anything else and we would have to sit and wonder when she was coming back to our table and she never asked how everything was, etc.
We made reservations for a party of 10. When we got there they sat us down right away. It is super cute inside; industrial yet cozy. The servers were very friendly and helped me with my selection. Sometimes tapas can be a little difficult to divvy up but everything seemed super easy to share and we all left feeling satisfied. Delicious food! Would definitely recommend to all, whether it’s a big group or a romantic date.
AMAZING! we love everything about the place! Food was incredible!
The cocktails awesome, one of the best mojitos I've had in a very long time. Happy hour menu is very attractive and all enjoyed the tacos. Attentive service and perfect location close to the theater.
I always enjoy going to Milk & Honey, the Lamburginis are my favorite.
Place was tiny and felt like a tourist mill. The service vibe was that they wanted you to get in, get your food and get out. There was no small talk or explaining of the menu at all. No view or any special ambience. Starters were pretty good but the rest was just ok. The best part is they’re pet friendly and brought out a water bowl for the dogs.
