Miku Restaurant - Toronto
We specialize in innovative Aburi Sushi and seafood. Combining traditional Japanese techniques and flavours with fresh, local ingredients, our highly skilled chefs pair each morsel of sushi with a unique house made sauce in order to bring out the rich flavour profile of the fish, and then seal the flavours with a binchotan (oak charcoal)- accompanied flame sear. The result is the secret to Miku's success: sushi with a smoky aroma, umami flavour, and decadent, melt-in-your-mouth texture.
We also offer a variety of seafood entrées, appetizers, as well as seafood platters.
Our menu is best paired with our extensive sake, wine, and cocktail selection.
Following provincial mandate, Miku will be requiring proof of complete vaccination (2/2 vaccines) upon indoor dining starting September 22, 2021.

Wonderful experience and customer service! We absolutely loved it
Thank you so much for the great dining experience. Our waitress was so sweet
Really wonderful service, experience and food. Server was knowledgeable and made my 30th here memorable!!
Overall we thought Miku was just ok. We don’t mind spending a bit more for great food and service but Miku just didn’t quite get there for ~$200./ couple. Entry COVID procedures smooth. The sushi itself is quite good. The prawn app is delicious. Cocktails were very good. But a couple things: I have had as good sushi (not Aburi but still) for less; just didn’t seem that special to me (fell short of Vancouver Miku but that’s to be expected given TO), they messed up who ordered what, kept re arranging our dishes and cutlery (too much) to place plates in centre and I especially did not like them touching my chopsticks multiple times, and no coffee at end of meal (broken, no back up?). Finally I understand these places have two seatings and a 2 hr limit however a table of 4 spending $400… did you really have to rush us out with “I’m trying to extend but if you want dessert pls order it now?” Maybe the broken coffee maker was an excuse? We didn’t get dessert, paid and left. There are better spots IMO to get a high quality meal and service in downtown TO. We prob will not return.
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us Narob. We always strive to exceed our guest’s expectations, and are sorry to hear that your dining experience did not meet the standards that we are known for. We will be discussing this topic with our management team, as it is only with feedback like yours that we are able to improve. Thank you again, and we hope to welcome you back with a more positive experience.
Nice restaurant with great ambience but the food was not as stellar was would be expected.
This was the best Japanese restaurant in a very long time.
My waitress was amazing.
Excellent service and food
Suggest a different selection of ambient music - didn’t seem to support the more refined food and service
Wonderful food and service
Fantastic food. I've been here numerous times for personal and business meals. Food is absolutely delicious.
This was the most incredible meal I have had in Toronto. The attention to detail in each dish was incredible. I can't wait to go back!
We loved the food. It was so delicious. The sashimi was fresh and flavorful. The Ebi fritters too! The waitress was so helpful and attentive too. Will certainly come back.
Had the anniversary tasting and it was delicious. Lovely atmosphere. As it got later and quieter they turned the music up a bit loud but when we asked they turned it back down for us which we really appreciated!
Excellent as always. Worth every dollar.
Went to this place today, it's way over the top overpriced for what they serve. We did the 5 course tasting menu, and this was the special anniversary tasting menu for $150pp. Though it would be something special, what they served was very basic sushi with no flavor. I am still not sure what aburi sushi is, but they apparently served that and it was absolutely bland. I have visited Michelin 1,2 and 3 star restaurants before, this place is charging Michelin 2 star prices for sub Michelin bib quality food with 0 culinary experience. Was my first visit today, very disappointed and will not visit again.
I've never had quality of food this good before! So good
Miku had great service--hard to find these days in restaurants. The food was excellent.
Food is not fresh. Pricy base on the food quality. The taste is similar to other Japanese restaurants. Nothing special. Good service but they require more training.
Though a snafu on our part prevented us from being seated at our original reserved time, Miku worked with us to modify our reservation to a later seating. The wait was well worthwhile. The menu catered to both of us, one not particularly fond of sushi, and each course was simple perfection. The chef even made a complimentary single piece sample for me of his signature Aburi salmon nigiri so I could experience and appreciate this style of sushi the Miku companies’ owner brought to North America...ah, such an elevating difference! All in all, a superb dining experience!
It was perfect to having an anniversary place!
The waitresses was so kind to explain the food!
Amazing food, cocktails and service. We had come to celebrate our engagement and my fiancé had chosen this restaurant. Although we had a small hiccup with getting an indoor seating (our fault as one of us didn’t carry ID) our outdoor table was the only choice in the end.
Hein was our server and he made the entire dining experience superb right from the get go. We had researched the menu and he advised us on the best possible was to have the complete Miku dining experience. With each dish served they offered a short introduction on the dish and its uniqueness.
- Cocktails like the Oishii and Aburi Lemonade if you are gin aficionados. Oishii was our favourite amongst the two.
- Appetizer was Chicken Nanban and the homestyle tartar sauce was very delicious.
- Entrée was Kaisen Soba Peperoncino which was very flavourful and a little on the peppery side for me!
- We had the Aburi Oshi Sampler and a half-n-half selection of Miku and Red Wave Rolls - trust their suggestion when they say you don’t need soy sauce with them!
- Dessert was the Warm Matcha Valrohna Chocolate Fondant which was goeey-ly delicious in every bite.
Overall superb dining experience!
Fantastic dining experience. Our server explained all the delicious plates that arrived and we were treated to a special fresh raspberry sorbet made in-house for our anniversary. This was extra special since it was our first time returning to this location to eat indoors since the pandemic so it was very much appreciated
Lovely restaurant and staff. Always exceptional service here. The food is amazing - our favourite is the salmon oshi.
Delicious, welcoming, elegant, and well presented.
Great food. Nice atmosphere. Excellent service. Delicious desserts.
Very good, nice staff and good ambiance.
Amazing food, we’re blown away by the quality of food, cocktails, and dessert.
amazing food and service
forgot our server's name but
he was super kind and helpful
thank you for wonderful experience!
Overall the food was good but way way overpriced. Bluefin Tuna sashimi "freshness" was disappointing. Salmon sashimi freshness level was nothing to write home about either.
Excellent service, the food as always is great.
Service is always perfect and top notch .Can't wait to come back!
vanilla bean cheesecake is slept on 100%, whoevers designing that desert menu needs a raise
The anniversary tasting menu was so amazing! Great food and service.
Excellent service !Delicious food and stunning presentation from dishes to cups. Highly recommend to try.
Food was delicious. Our server is very nice. We enjoyed our lunch.
Miku is always our favourite sushi place in town
Great food, elite consistency. That's all I need to say. You won't regret your experience at Miku
