The ancient tradition of the Samurai lives on at Mikado where knife-twirling chefs use fire and steam to create a mouth watering menu of steak, chicken and seafood delights. The highlight of the experience is the dazzling talents of your chef as he expertly chops, juggles, jokes and prepares an incredible meal right before your eyes. While you are led to your table through our private Japanese garden, notice the Koi swimming below and the sound of cascading waterfalls.

Mikado at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is known throughout the Coachella Valley and Southern California as the leader in authentic Teppan-Yaki Dining.

                    Great experience been here many times but I haven’t been here in a while though zeke our waiter was very helpful and nice, place was very clean, the food was great and my experience remained the same from when I came years ago 10/10. Definitely will return when I come back!

                    Finally got to eat here… It’s always booked, so plan ahead and make reservations! We celebrated our wedding anniversary & really enjoyed our dinner/experience. The service & food was awesome!

                    The Mikado Special included filet mignon, shrimp, and lobster. The food was delicious. We did not expect that we would be experiencing hibachi style dining, which was okay as we were seated with nice people. I found it disturbing to see the chefs wearing masks and some of the servers wearing black gloves. I asked the hostess about the masks, and she said it was because of the smoke while cooking. I find gloves to be disgusting, as they do not repel germs and just think they are probably spreading more germs, as I don't know how often they are changed. I think a clean hand policy is much preferred. I prefer not to dine at restaurants where masks and gloves are worn.
