Food was excellent! We stumbled upon this gem by accident. It was quiet spot in a very busy and loud casino town, so we took the opportunity to eat at the bar and learn about the hotel history from Mark, the bartender. We'll be back!

Where do I even begin!!! Everything was delicious, we started with the caprese salad. The buffalo mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, and balsamic glaze was delightful. The cheese bread is a must!!!! For our entrees I had spaghetti and meat sauce, the meat sauce was full of flavor. My Husband had the pasta primavera, the only complaint was his sauce was really runny, but still full of flavor. The spumoni was awesome. This place was a real treat!!!

The food was very good, prices maybe a little high. Dining room was beautiful, but the service was awful. We had to ask for our bread 3 times, and we had almost finished our meal by the time it was brought to us. And then before we were finished eating, our waitress came over with her tablet and said she needed to cash us out because she had to go home. No explanation, don't know if she was ill or what. For the first time in as long as I can remember, we did not leave a tip.

Service really slow, took over 1 1/2 hours to serve 4 people. Also was my daughter's birthday and had stated on Open Table, it took so long to get the meal we didn't even bother asking for desert, nor did the waitress even ask. The place is super cute, but I would not go back

We were especially pleased that we were asked if we were celebrating an anniversary. Hence we would say it is LGBT friendly!

This historic hotel, bar and restaurant in Cripple Creek is a great weekend get-away. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The food was excellent with great portions. We aren't wine drinkers, but they seemed to have a well stocked wine selection.

Enjoyed dinner with friends on a Saturday evening following a recommendation to "give it a try". We're definitely glad we did. Food was very good. Will be going back for sure and have already recommended it to others.

Only minor negative was that our waitress seemed new to her job as she forgot a couple of items and had a bit of difficulty with the bill. No biggie from our point of view, but might turn some folks off.

We were in Cripple Creek for the weekend with a group of friends and planned on going to the music show at the Imperial Hotel. We wanted to have a bite to eat before the show, so we made reservations at the Midland Depot since the show was right there. The Midland features Italian food - and believe it or not - it was really, really good! All of use raved about the dishes we has selected! Highly recommend the Midland for at least one meal when at "The Creek."

Picked this place because it was one of the few places I've seen on OpenTable to receive 5 stars across the board. My expectations were high. We were seated promptly, but it was quickly evident that our waiter did not have experience waiting tables. Turns out he was filling in for someone who called out. I ordered a 2007 Merlot and was surprised when they brought it out already open and placed it on the table with three glasses and left. It was also evident that nobody there knew the proper way to serve a bottle of wine. It was a really good Merlot though and the entrees were very good as well. I was surprised that they did not have house made Italian dressing. I was told that the reason they didn't was because the owner didn't like dealing with oil based dressings. That seemed odd for an Italian restaurant. The chicken parmigiana was good as was the shrimp scampi and fettuccine Alfredo. If you're in Cripple Creek, you could do worse but I wouldn't recommend the drive from out of town just to eat there.

The sauces taste like sugar rather than tomatoes. We left our food half eaten. The fast food restaurant Fazoli's has better sauce than this place. I can't believe all the great reviews. I was disappointed. There were only three other diners here on a Saturday evening at 7pm. That should have been my first clue.

This is the best place I have eaten in Cripple Creek. I have had a hard time finding a restaurant in Cripple Creek that served good enough food that I would want to return. I will definitely return to the Midland Depot at the Imperial Hotel. It was nice to get away from the casino crowds and find a relaxed dining experience just a few yards off the main street. In a larger city it would only rate as good or three stars, but in Cripple Creek it is very good or four stars.

The Gold Camp Victorian Society convened for dinner prior to the Victorian Ball on Feb 8th. The room was ready for us, the tables reserved. and the waitstaff was very helpful and prompt. The food was good and everyone seemed to enjoy it. We will use this restaurant agin in the future.

Dining at the Midland Station is always a good experience. Their Italian menu is never a disappointment, and the prices are very affordable. The atmosphere of the old hotel and the friendliness of the staff make for a very enjoyable evening. It is always a special evening when we dine there.

Had eaten at this place some years ago. Now renovated. Excellent Italian cuisine. Also steaks on the menu.
Quiet enough to have a nice conversation with fellow table mates.

We had a reservation made as part of a prize that we won. When we showed up the restaurant was very rude about not accepting the award. The staff was very cold and indifferent. There were very few patrons dining there on a Friday night. I guess the place just chases off diners because all the other local restaurant near this one had a full house... I would avoid this place.
