Serving "inspired cuisine" since 1987, the celebrated Michael’s On East restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. Michael's On East has been inducted into Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame and recently received their 34th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. The 350+ bottle wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by the Wine Spectator!

Upon entering the dining room, you are immediately dazzled by the plush design and inspired décor. The restaurant’s intimate aura, along with its contemporary flare, world-class wine cellar and incomparable service, create an unparalleled dining experience.

    One of the best restaurants in Sarasota, Florida, Michael’s on east is one of the great dining experiences that you can have. Service is Sterling, food is amazing and the ambience is wonderful. The only negative is the expense level is very high.

    Great, attentive service. The entrees were hit and miss - the Jamaican specials were flavorful, but honestly the salmon was not up to par. Bouillabaisse and desserts were very good.

    Dinner was delicious! The tartare appetizer melts in you mouth bursting with delicious flavors! The sea bass is excellent and the pot chop never disappoints! Kathy es an amazingly attentive and never obtrusive server. Who provided great recommendations!

    My wife and I shared the Seasonal Salad, which when presented in your most interesting bowls, looked insufficient, but not only was it the perfect portion, but was also delicious. The Chilean Sea Bass with the lobster risotto was outstanding. We just returned from staying in Charleston, SC for two years, and the meals we had there paled in comparison to the quality, quantity and presentation to our dinner last evening. Kudos to the chef and proprietor!!

    Great as always. The whole experience was top notch. The waitress even had the special corkscrew to open the old vintage wine I brought for a special occassion.
