Serving "inspired cuisine" since 1987, the celebrated Michael’s On East restaurant takes fine dining to another level, offering award-winning cuisine and outstanding service, in an exceptional 1940s supper club atmosphere. Michael's On East has been inducted into Nation's Restaurant News Fine Dining Hall of Fame and recently received their 34th consecutive AAA Four-Diamond Award. The 350+ bottle wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence by the Wine Spectator!

Upon entering the dining room, you are immediately dazzled by the plush design and inspired décor. The restaurant’s intimate aura, along with its contemporary flare, world-class wine cellar and incomparable service, create an unparalleled dining experience.

Michael's Lounge, complete with a grand piano, is a guest favorite with its signature cocktails and award winning wine selection.

    Always a delightful dining experience at Michael's On East. Food and service were excellent. Our server, Kristine, went above and beyond with providing great service and food recommendations. We have had the pleasure previously of having her as our waitress as well. Highly recommend this fine gem in Sarasota!

    The service staff were great. Overall food quality was a bit under par. The broccolini were over cooked, the sauces were too heavy. Foods were lukewarm served temperature… did not feel freshly cooked to order, rather partially assembled?

    It’s been about a year since our last visit and we both said to each other - what is wrong with us - Best meals for at least 69 miles in any direction. Piano music - great service - solid well priced cocktails and delicious food in every course . We will be back soon

    Michael's on East continues to be the best fine dining experience in Sarasota. It is our go-to restaurant for any type of celebration or just sharing a great meal with friends. Every meal I have had at Michael's on East exceeds my expectations. It is not just good food, it is the best, the greatest!

    I love Michael’s. However, I was disappointed with the savor Sarasota menu. The two appetizers were both spicy. When I inquired I was told they were not. I could not eat it! The main courses were good-the salmon very good and the chicken just ok. The blueberry dessert was fabulous! The other disappointment was the wait time. We had a very nice waiter, however somehow the timing was way off. We arrived at 6:00 and never got food until well after 7. People who had arrived later were on their main course by then! Overall, Michael’s is one of my favorite restaurants! I will return because I really enjoy the ambiance and the food!
