I took my kids there for Taco Tuesday on the patio was really good.
The food was delicious. The server was friendly and personable with good recommendations. Large portions, good value. Couldn't be happier. Thank you!
Always have a wonderful time here- fabulous food. Had the carne asada enchiladas- to die for!
Awesome place! Our all time favorite Mexican place.
We went for Sunday Brunch, and as a brunch experience we found it lacking. They have a few breakfast dishes added to their menu and call it brunch. It was disappointing. We won't be going to "brunch" there again.
The queso was like water with tomatoes thrown in it, my rice and beans were burnt and tastes awful! The food was very disappointing and we will never be returning.
Take the seafood enchiladas off the menu, the are bland, blah, and borring
This restaurant has been a favorite, but they have changed their menu and dropped many of the items my family enjoyed. The service was very slow and our waiter was very rude. Too bad, but this will be one we drop off our list.
Amazing as always!!!!
Great food, comfortable environment and excellent service!
OMG, let me count the ways!!! This is our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant of all time. Delicious food, amazing service- it's kinda like the old TV show 'Cheers' - where everyone knows your name! I crave Mi Casa every week. World's best margaritas, and you HAVE to try the Queso Fundido....and the Chili Verde.
Visiting from out of town and checked Open Table, as always, for a good, local restaurant. Not disappointed. Service and food was excellent. would return, again, next time we're in town.
All four of us loved our entrees, and they were all different. And there's plenty of food - always bring home another meal.
Service was great - timely, but not pushy. Ambiance - well, it's noisy, even outdoors. Oh well.....
Very disappointed in mahi mahi tacos. Small pieces, not filets. I get better mahi mahi tacos at Baja Fresh.
Service was ok; waitress seemed stressed, Britanni. Was hoping this could be a new place for us to go even though it's not in our neighborhood but didn't find that it would bring me back.
Patron skinny margarita was good. Guacamole was good.
The chips and salsa were delicious and I liked the fact that everyone got their own salsa dish. Team refilling them both was attentive and fast. Service was fine. I chose the skirt steak, house specialty. The steak was fabulous. Tender and well seasoned. It was accompanied by a form of rice on the plate and lettuce. For a house specialty and a more expensive entree. It should have had beans, guacamole, a vegetable, etc. the meal was incomplete.
It all tasted good. I was expecting more for the accolades I read about. Mexican restaurants are common and competition is fierce. It may have just been my entree. Everyone else in my party enjoyed their food very much.
I never heard of a restaurant running out of silverware to the point that not only my table, but the one across from us and kitty corner to us all were served salads, but no one had set up the tables with eating instruments. I finally got and went to the front and asked about it. Eventually the waiter came over to all of us and apologized for no silverware, but it has happened before and would get us some asap. What would cause a restaurant to keep such a thing in such tight supply??? That or the dishwasher went on a long smoke break? Not sure we will try Mi Casa again with such poor attention to customer service. Oh yes, once we finally got a fork to each our salads with, it wasn't 2 minutes before all the entre's showed up. Really?
Our absolute FAVORITE local Mexican food restaurant!!! Best margaritas, chips and salsa anywhere. Try the chili verde, it's the BEST. We go 3-4 times a month...
Food was good and the portions were big. Great margarita's too.
Food was ok, service was poor, had to ask for water refills. Kids were screaming and crying the entire time we were there. Not a bad place, but a lot of better Mexican places around.
Didn't like this place when it first opened but I am glad we tried it again because the for was wonderful! Drinks were not as good as the food but overall it was much improved from our first visit!
Food was excellent. Very enjoyable and one of the few places that was not overcrowded.
Not the best Mexican resturant in South Orange County but a good value. If you don't want to wait for 45 minutes for a table nor want to spend $60-$80 per couple this is the place. Even though I didn't have a child with me I did se many kids out on the outdoor patio. They sat my wife and I in a booth away from the children. The hostess needs to use her $ to find a personality.
Went to this restaurant with a group of my friends. They easily accommodated us on their patio. Nice atmosphere, good service and they allowed us to split the checks easily.
Had out of town guests who wanted to experiene SoCal. casual dining. Mi Casa is a wonderful example. Dress is casual and relaxed. Service on the patio (Ryan) was absolutely outstanding. There were eight of us and Ryan took care of every need and request. Food is reasonably priced and plentiful. So much so that my husband and I shared a plate (combination burrito with rice and beans) and still had left overs to take home. Extremely good value for money.
Our family has been eating at Mi Casa, Costa Mesa, since they opened almost 40 years ago and, since moving from that area, now visit Rancho Santa Margarita regularly.
The variety of Salsas are fabulous too.
Our server was amazing, but the food lacked taste but was so over spiced you really had no idea what you were eating. There were 8 of us and the reservation was handled beautifully, but I don't think I will be back very soon, especially since there are so many wonderful restaurants in the same area.
We visited on a Sunday brunch and while service was really first rate, the food, from the salsa, to the entrees were all "fair" at best. Generally plate presentations were attractive, the food itself just was bland.
This was my second time to Mi Casa, and the food was better. I was hesitant about ordering the carnitas brisket because I'm used to it being pulled, but it was excellent! Their salsa was very good, as was the skinny pomegranate - pear margarita (even if it was a little light on the tequila). The service was good, but seemed rushed, and since it was surprisingly not busy at 8 pm on a Saturday night, I was bothered by it.
The "wicked" salsa is arguably the best that I have ever had (and I consider myself an quite well versed in this area). It is the perfect match of flavor and heat.
Serving portions were more than adequate and the meals were served hot.
This was my 2nd time to the restaurant. The 1st time I was not impressed (with the food or the service). The 2nd time the food was tastier and served hot. The service was also much improved. I will go back!!
The food here is the draw. Finally a good mexican sit down restaurant in RSM that can make a margarita as well. On past visits, I've had the burritos, tacos, taquitos, and enchiladas. I cannot say any one was better than the other, they were all very good. I'm partial to their carnitas as the meat for tacos and burritos.
This was our first time at Mi Casa and it certainly won't be our last. The food was fabulous and there was plenty of it. The salsa selections were great. We placed all of our orders at the same time but our server said he would have the kids plates out first and he didn't disappoint. The kids plates were out in about 6 minutes if not less. Very pleased that Mi Casa is so accommodating to families. Can't wait to go back!
