Merrick Inn, construido antes de la Guerra Civil, fue remodelado totalmente por la familia Cal Milam en 1936, y sirvió como casa de campo para uno de los mejores ranchos de caballos de Lexington. Merrick Inn is one of my favorites, so I made a reservation for Mother's Day. Even though I selected bar seating when I made the reservation, we were seated in a private dining room in the back, which was chilly, and we felt isolated. I later saw on Open Table that Merrick does not reserve the Bar, but we have done so in the past via Open Table and always received our request. If this is a change, then bar seating should not be allowed as a selection option when making a reservation.

My husband took me there for Mother’s Day brunch. They set us at a table in the bar by the back door between the bar and a wall with a high window. We were happy to be there had to ask for a cocktail menu when we ordered our food my husband got a chicken cordon blue, it was delivered with a little ham and cheese on a bun with no chicken so it had to be sent back, which took a while and my food is sitting there getting cold. We were very disappointed with our service and the food situation.

Our waiter ( Grayson) was just awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable - his descriptions of the menu items was positively artistic. Wonderful work lace to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from UK as a muse (BSN). Thankyou! - we will be back!

Beautiful day and outdoor dining experience-the staff were attentive and service was outstanding-food was excellent-my only comment for consideration is to make it clear the halibut will be served drenched in butter-I was not expecting this and would not have ordered had I known-I was not looking for such a high fat meal but of course it tasted great-should let people know this in advance

Service was great! Food portions are very large. But everything was delicious! Slightly noisy in our area but overall OK.
