   We were seated in a room in the back of the restaurant. We were placed between two large parties. We were a table of 4 on one side a table of 7 and on the other side a table 9. It was very loud and couldn’t hear ourselves talk. There were other tables available right across in the corner where we were sitting that were empty the entire time. The were out of one of there specials. Rest of food was good. I have been coming here for years and was just a bit disappointed this time!

   Fried chicken was not as good as in the past-the pieces were small and dry. The corn pudding was also dry. Difficult getting drink refills. Desserts were good.

   Merrick Inn is one of my favorites, so I made a reservation for Mother's Day. Even though I selected bar seating when I made the reservation, we were seated in a private dining room in the back, which was chilly, and we felt isolated. I later saw on Open Table that Merrick does not reserve the Bar, but we have done so in the past via Open Table and always received our request. If this is a change, then bar seating should not be allowed as a selection option when making a reservation.

   My husband took me there for Mother’s Day brunch. They set us at a table in the bar by the back door between the bar and a wall with a high window. We were happy to be there had to ask for a cocktail menu when we ordered our food my husband got a chicken cordon blue,  it was delivered with a little ham and cheese on a bun with no chicken so it had to be sent back, which took a while and my food is sitting there getting cold. We were very disappointed with our service and the food situation.

   Our waiter ( Grayson) was just awesome. Very friendly and knowledgeable - his descriptions of the menu items was positively artistic. Wonderful work lace to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from UK as a muse (BSN). Thankyou! - we will be back!

    Beautiful day and outdoor dining experience-the staff were attentive and service was outstanding-food was excellent-my only comment for consideration is to make it clear the halibut will be served drenched in butter-I was not expecting this and would not have ordered had I known-I was not looking for such a high fat meal but of course it tasted great-should let people know this in advance
