We went there with some old friends we see infrequently for a catch up dinner. A most enjoyable evening. The food was excellent if a little on the expensive side (try the bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp), we had some just brilliant Argentinian Mendoza Malbec that was on special offer and the service provided by Cynthia was discreet and professional. We sat by a roaring fIre on a cold Denver night and finished with a NY cheesecake and apple cobbler which everyone shared. Highly recommend.

We have always enjoyed The Meritage for our special occasions. Sunday Father’s Day, birthdays and anniversaries. We have always invited other friends and family members to dine with us. We are never disappointed.

My salmon with perfect. It came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. The other people were jealous because there fish came with less. I think the restaurant wants you to add lots of side dishes. The flan was a disappointment. The orange creme brulee was great!

We had a great dinner. Our server wasn't too good, but the food and wine was wonderful. Our server didnt have much experience in the menu or wine list. The gentleman that presented our wine was great. Wish he could of been our server all evening.

We made a Special trip for the Sunday brunch buffet as we had company in town. We thought the $35 price tag was expensive but figured this buffet must be amazing & we needed to check it out. They were not that busy, and we were with a party of eight. The food was just OK. Basic breakfast stuff, omelette bar, a few savory items. The pastries were delicious the croissant was very soft and flaky and they had fun toppings for bread and bagels. The prime rib was a bit tough and fatty. The worst part was the service, and we had read a bunch of reviews that said service was bad and we were just hoping for a better experience. Our waitress never came and checked on us, never cleared the dirty plates quickly until they started piling up. We always had to find her and wave her down for drink refills. So the biggest bummer is that they applied a 20% gratuity to all of our checks since we were with a party of eight or more. I understand that we were a party of eight, but this was a buffet, and we all served ourselves! 20% means exceptional service and we definitely did not receive that so I would not recommend this breakfast buffet to anyone especially a party of eight or more. Go to Snooze or Syrup and save your money!

Stayed at the hotel for a birthday staycation. Made reservations for 7pm at the Meritage restaurant on September 23rd. Joshua, a server at the Meritage restaurant went above and beyond to make sure our dinner was a great experience. He was attentive, kind, and extremely understanding. Important to note- he did not know it was my birthday as we did not tell him. Thank you Joshua!

What a great restaurant to celebrate an anniversary or go on a date. We enjoyed the romantic setting and the servers were all very friendly and relaxed. Oh and the food is very delicious with large servings -- enough for leftovers!

The food was horrible and terribly over priced. I ordered the spinach mushroom lasagna (for $38) and the noodles on the bottom were over cooked to the point that they were gummy and the the top layer of cheese and mushroom were rock hard and inedible. I sent it back. The waitress was very good and kind. She comped my meal and expedited out a shrimp linguine. I could at least eat this, however it was not very good. The noodles, this time, were undercooked and the flavor wasn't great. I'm baffled how this place is able to stay in business, especially with the prices they charge. Definitely not upscale dining.

We came at 1130 this last Saturday with a reservation through opentable that the hostess couldn't find.
Even though the restaurant was empty, we waited for long periods of time between server visits. There were 5 of us, only 2 of us ordered juice and both were wrong (I ordered grapefruit, got grape. My daughter ordered lemonade and got apple juice). When I finally got the right juice ot was warm super sweet red grapefruit juice. Not fresh squeezed or even high quality. I was told by the server that they had gluten free bagels and my breakfast was brought on top of gluten free bread.
The server offered no explanation nor apology.
It was my 9 year olds birthday and I was horribly disappointed that we spent our money and time there.
We spent $90 without alcohol and it was the worst.
We could've spent $20 at McDonalds and it would've been better. Atleast the service would've been.
NEVER going back

Food was ok. The chick was over cooked and very salty. The lasagna had way to much cheese. The server was great! She was incredibly attentive and was a real pleasure. i would eat there again only if I did not feel like leaving the hotel.

Three of four meals were not good. Two fish meals were overlooked and one meal was tasteless. One guest only ate a few bites. She took the rest home to "make it better". The menu was new and limited. Our guests said they would not go to the restaurant again.

Good food. Grade A-.

Wine list very pricey where some items are marked up 300% to 400% of liquor store pricing. My pet peeve is restaurants who attempt to jam their customers on excessive wine pricing. Grade C-.

Requested patio for dining due to great mountain view. Their patio has become run down as it has a huge smoker trailer on the patio and there was grease and debris around the trailer and patio. Patio needs to be power washed and debris cleaned up. This is not something I would except for a 4 star+ hotel. Grade D-.

Service. Unprepared for our reservation. Wait person who greeted me did not understand I had an Open Table reservation. Had to request manager to get seated and acknowledge reservation. Waiter was good and attentive server. Grade B-.

Restrooms were clean but some trash on floors. Grade B.

Overall Grade C.

Please note that I consult to the country club industry and feel that I have a very good idea of what an "A" rated restaurant should be.

Our family met for Fathers Day Brunch. A beautiful morning so they even had patio seating open for some. Our party was actually 5 people, so we were seated at a round table at the end of the large dining room by the fireplace. The A/C was working overtime, since they had the doors to the outside patio open, so our end of the dining room was cold when we arrived. The dining manager worked to accommodate us and turned on that fireplace. Soon it all was comfortable. We loved the food choices, both for breakfast and midday dinner dishes. There was a BBQ smoker outside as well, serving up rib roast, brisket, and ribs. Our server was very attentive to our requests. We had a great time, opening gifts and eating. We have been to Meritage many times over several years. It is always a favorite.

This review is for Sunday Brunch. Although the price was reasonable for a Sunday Brunch Buffet in the Denver Metro Area, the food quality was average. The $10 savings in price was not worth the decline in taste. Similar quality to that of IHOP, Denny's, etc. The "eggs to order" station was the only saving grace. The rest of the options tasted like Costo pre-packaged foods reheated and served. The bottomless mimosas were nice. The wait staff was wonderful. I just wish the food would have been better.

Once again the Meritage was Wonderful … they never let us down! Everything is So Good; the food, the service, the atmosphere – it’s all delightfully delicious! The only thing I could think of to request for our next visit perhaps is that they have an all-natural, no sugar, no cal sweetener like Stevia or Monk Fruit. Besides that, I can’t ask for more; the Meritage at the Omni is top shelf.

I've taken my work team here many, many times and we've always had a good experience but this past experience was horrendous. The food was far from good and the service experience was even worse. And there were only two other tables that were occupied. So no excuse on the service or food. I will never subject my team to this restaurant again.

We have frequented the Meritage for Sunday Brunch and for dinner over the years. Recently, we have been unable to do so. Last week, February 12th we again visited for the Sunday brunch and were disappointed. The selection of food was not as varied, or in our opinion of as high a quality as we had previously experienced at the Meritage. We noted that the crowd was also substantially smaller than normal.

We asked about our favorite, very long time at the Meritage, server and was told he was no longer with the Meritage. We inquired about two of the very active Meritage managers and got the same answer. We noted that we did not recognize any of the folks working on the floor. We inquired if there had been a management change and were told that there was a temporary manager.

Not wanting to walk away based on a one time sample, we returned for the Sunday Brunch the following week, February 19. The chafing dish selections were a bit better. However, when my wife requested our server bring her eggs benedict (the omlet station was not prepared to do poached eggs and certainly not eggs benedict) the server said she would check with her manager. NOTE: Previously, over the years, a request such as this was cheerfully fulfilled as part of the Sunday brunch. Our server returned and informed us that the Meritage no longer filled such requests as part of the brunch. If you took the brunch (non-holiday about $35/person plus tax and tip, around $45 or up on holidays) you couldn't get anything but omlets and fried eggs, no poached and certainly no eggs benedict.

The change in in food quality/selection (even the grapefruit juice was different, canned yellow rather than fresh ruby red), coupled with the change in policy to limit the selections and not offer the high quality service expected in a place like the Meritage and paid for whether or not received won't bring us back.

We keep going back to the Meritage at the Omni, though it is pricey, it is well worth it! So we usually wait for a special occasion.
Everything is delightful starting with the most important part; the food. Plus, the wait staff is just wonderful, the atmosphere is top notch. The wine selection is perfect.
We had the Sea Bass and the Bison Tenderloin with a superb bottle of Napa Valley Cab: Flora Springs 2013
The Meritage is magnificent!

Omni - We visited Meritage 2.5 years ago and it has slipped a fair amount. Waitstaff was cheery and pleasant, but young and not well informed on the food. Atmosphere/setting felt dated. Numerous bottles of wine and booze put out on display - not near the bar - to encourage drinking seems tacky for a place aiming for a high level.

Open Table - Your questionnaire delivers you bad/imprecise information due to not being built with adequate psychometric principles. You owe your restaurant partners better than this.

The service and food were excellent. They met our reservation and seated us immediately. The server was very attentive and at the same time respectful as we discussed business over the course of the meal. Nice atmosphere.

Went there for a romantic weekend. Used the hotel romantic package which included a four-course dinner, not on the regular menu. Had three choices for Appetizer, Soup/Salad, main course, and dessert. Loved every bite! Our servers made us feel special. One note if you are in a hurry don't eat here it took a little more than an hour for all the courses. If you want a place for a special occasion this is it.

We've now been to Meritage several times and there's a reason for that. The food here is simply amazing. It's seafood selections stack up against Ocean Prime, Oceanaire Seafood Room, etc. Hands down, the best seafood I've had in Colorado, period. Being from Florida, take my word on that.

I was pleased, stopped going about a year ago due to cleanliness, I don't think it is completely clean as a hotel restaurant should be but it did appear better than the last time I visited. Our waiter was very pleasant and I appreciated his sense of humor and he was very attentive to our table. Would return food was good, ordered off regular breakfast menu opposed to Brunch, at $36.00 a person it was a little steep for the offerings.

Several doors were locked, the only way to enter was through the hotel lobby. We were not offered the use of the coat room, we were the only people in the dining area with your coats on our chairs. When my husband inquired about a wine the waiter stared, my husband had to specifically ask for a description before the waiter finally gave us the wine sell. The waiter brought the wine and asked us if we wanted some bread that "was being pulled fresh out of the oven", we said yes, we did and both ordered salads. My salad was brought out about 10 minutes later, but not my husband's. Another 10 minutes passed before our waiter checked on us. My husband asked about his salad, the waiter's initial response was to question if my husband indeed ordered it. It took another 10 minutes for his salad to come out. Another 10 minutes after that our waiter graced us with his presence. I asked about the bread (ordered about 30 minutes earlier) and the waiter mumbled something about the kitchen...the restaurant wasn't even half full. It took another 5 minutes for the bread to show.
Although the main course we were excited to try was no longer available, the food was exquisite. We ordered the Baked Alaska, tables near us had ordered it and we were excited for the fanfare associated with this desert. A busboy literally dropped it flaming in our table without a word. This was, hands down, the poorest service I received in all of 2016. For a $300 dinner I would at least expect courtesy. My visits to Noodles & Co the week prior had far better service for $12 total. Disappointing to say the least.
