We celebrated my Mom's 76 bday and it was a very nice. They provided a nice little desert to her for a birthday treat. Everything was very pleasant drinks, food and service was great! We would definitely go back.
They are the best
Food and service
This was a terrible experience. We made a last minute decision to grab dinner out and Mercury was the only restaurant with available reservations near us. The manager and staff were disorganized. The service was frantic. The food felt cheap. The restaurant itself felt dirty. Just a bad experience.
Disappointed by the food timing and quality. The server did well in accommodating but the venue is dated and didn’t have much of an ambiance. Patio dining, there was no music and lots of cars driving by revving their engines. The owners should ask for speed bumps to be put in through the underpass to slow cars down.
From the pleasant greeting at the front door host stand, to the friendly table service, provided by our server, Arthur, to our perfectly prepared dinner, drinks and appetizers.. everything was perfect! The only thing it lacked was the regular live music from piano player. But these tunes have changed everything. Still a must visit
Great service! Excellent place!
Lamb was icy /still cold towards the center and server removed plate as I wasn’t done eating the other portions
Amazing dinner and service, we love the atmosphere! We will be back very soon! Great place for a celebration, fun dinner with friends or a business meeting.. love mercury and the staff! Top notch
The food was excellent. Good wine selection. All the wait staff was wearing masks, and the guests also, of course, when they were not eating.
Mercury Chophouse consistently delivers. However, the downtown FW space leaves a great deal to be desired. Wait staff are great and food quality is excellent, but the space can't support the required ambiance to make it a top-notch experience. Not a criticism of the enterprise at all. The Arlington location hits the mark in terms of atmosphere. Which is saying a lot, because Arlington is a wasteland when it comes to fine dining. The Arlington Mercury is easily the only fine dining experience in that god-forsaken hellhole of strip mall pabulum.
Good was great as per usual. Great ambiance.
Excellent food. Small foot print for such a great steak house.
Piano can be heard softly throughout the restaurant.
Enjoyed the ambiance and the nice, professional wait staff.
We were there on a Saturday evening. It was quite busy. In spite
of the busyness we were treated wonderfully.
Valet parking would be a plus!
I love this place. It is a go to almost weekly stop for me with my wife and or kids. The food is consistently good as is the service. The owner is present which is a plus. While we are mostly there weekdays which are quiet and peaceful, the weekends are spiced up with live music that energizes the atmosphere. Fort Worth has a lot of great steakhouses, MC holds their own and worthy of your visit.
Awesome food, service, and atmosphere. I highly recommend Mercury; it is one of our new "Go To" restaurants. Great choice of both seafood and steaks, and also creative drinks and an excellent wine list. The service has been outstanding and extremely friendly the last several visits. Live piano music on one side of the restaurant makes for a lively atmosphere, or you can choose the other side for a quieter time. Good for special occasions. We were pleasantly surprised on our first visit and have not been disappointed on our several repeat visits.
Great food and service. Piano playing adds a nice touch to the night out.
Firstly the service was absolutely amazing!! From the hostess to the wait staff, even meeting the owner. Then the food was great!! We all ordered different things and everything was amazing. I can’t wait to go back. Best part of our weekend in Fort Worth!!
Great service wine and food!! Highly recommend Mercury Chop House!!
Love this restaurant. Food is fantastic even though they overcooked my steak. Love hearing Nash on the piano. We enjoy this restaurant. Was disappointed that when we made reservation of it being our anniversary, it was never mentioned or any champagne or dessert offered. What is the point of asking if it’s a special occasion on open table and when you make the reservation if nothing is said or done. That being said we love the restaurant and will go back
The whole staff made it a wonderful evening. We will certainly be back.
My family of five went there for Father's Day and had an wonderful evening. The steaks were very good, but the shrimp bisque and desserts were the stars of the show! Thanks for a great experience.
Our waiter, Mike, was excellent. He did an outstanding job. I appreciated the disposable menus and other efforts that they had made to deal with the corona virus threat.
Our visit was an unexpected surprise. The piano entertainment was amazing. I mean he was exceptional. The drinks , the food, the music, everything was top notch. Wow. We may have found our new favorite place!
We really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere this is the second time we have been there and it was great. I would recommend it to everyone. Especially for a special occasion.
This was my first time to the restaurant - it was very good. Waiter was very attentive and the food was delicious. The portions looked huge so my husband and I decided to split the 20 oz Rib eye and each order a salad. There was plenty of food because the wedge salads were huge also. Steak was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back.
We want to thank you for providing us with feedback. I believe Mike was your server and he sends his sincerest thanks and looks forward to serving you again. Thank you greatly for your review and recommendation and have a powerfully wonderful day! Smiley
Bartender, Calvin, was great, let us sample a new gin and we found a new favorite, gin and bartender!! Thanks Calvin!!
We love to thank you for choosing us for your dining experience and look forward to serving you in the future. Thank you for the review and have a marvelously powerful day! I'm glad that you found Kalvin to be one of your new favorite bartenders. Smiley
The stroganoff is usually my go to but this time I reverted back to ANGEL HAIR PASTA
madeira cream sauce, fresh mushrooms, blackened chicken breast. It was delicious and my sister ate half of it off my plate. MC used to have a cool spot right up main street off of Sundance Square but they moved to a lesser location a few blocks away where the view is a parking garage. Mature waitstaff who understand how to provide service and know when you need to get out quick for a business lunch or just relax with a glass of wine and a leisurely lunch.
Food was great and we could actually have a conversation.
While nothing was terrible about the dinner experience, I had expected a bit more. Appetizers were average, entrée good and desert marginal. While the waitstaff was efficient they lacked personal touch.
Went for a post Valentine’s dinner and this was the first time at their new location. It appears they moved all the old furniture from the old location and it is old and dated looking. Ordered a bone in ribeye and it took a long time to arrive. When it did it was a bone in filet. I said I ordered the ribeye and they apologized and said they would correct it. When they brought my new steak it was a boneless ribeye and they said they didn’t have any bone in. I cut the steak which was supposed to be cooked medium and it was well done! I sent it back and said I no longer wanted a steak as my partner was almost finished with his meal. We will not return!
It took 20 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. Another 10-15 minutes for our waiter to visit our table. Our waiter Jaffar, had the personality of a wet sock and was not attentive at all. One of our plates was delivered cold, grabbed the nearest waiter, Javier, who took care of the issue quickly and was nice. Kudos to Javier. Jaffar never noticed the plate was missing. Food was average, service was, for the most part, unacceptable. I will stick with Bob’s and not be visiting Mercury again.
I was there with a group of six for dinner to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The service was not great, it took a while to get drinks and the waiter didn’t take our order for at least 35-40 minutes. My husband never got the salad he ordered. The food was outstanding and they did comp our third bottle of wine and my husband’s final beer because it took so long and several times of asking to get them.
Excellent food, excellent service! My group ordered the salmon, filet and pasta dish ( I cannot remember which one) and we enjoyed it all. We also shared a side of the brussel sprouts, which were very delicious, but not for someone looking to eat natural, plain brussel sprouts. I was a little worried after reading some of the reviews, but we will most definitely be back!
A mistake for Valentines. Spacing of tables was awful. No one to greet you at the door. Felt chaotic and unprepared. Valet service brought the wrong car and felt unprofessional.
Valentines dinner , place was busy restaurant seemed unprepared , 3 bartenders bar was not full but restaurant was.. got there 1.5 hrs early to have a few drinks before dinner and it was a mistake ... extremely poor service at the bar in 1.5 hrs they managed to only serve 1 drink to us and the couple next to us left in disappointment
Overall I was disappointed. The waitstaff seemed hurried and untrained. There should be a level of service expected for a restaurant of this price level. Unfortunately the service on this encounter didn't match up. The food was OK, but not great. I had the NY Strip and there was a lot of gristle on my steak. Again, when you pay a premium you should expect to get a certain quality. There are other steakhouses that are in the range and they deliver a better experience. I wouldn't go back but I am sure that there are other people who would disagree.
Great experience as always! Jafar took great care of us as always!
I can’t comment because there was so many details that were off. We had three different tables next to us that too were experiencing some difficulties getting good service. To the point we all were talking about it.
I am sure it was not normal and it was our first time here. Hopefully, it was just a busy off day.
The food was amazing as always, the service was perfect, Mike is the best server and Zach the owner always greets us with a handshake and smile. Wonderful dining experience, never disappointed at Mercury Chophouse Downtown Fort Worth.
Valentine’s! And it was wonderful!
