The waygu beef entree very average, not the signature dish. Service was great, ambience amazing.
Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Wonderful experience.
Had a private room room with family, nice to have a space to visit.
Was disappointed in the ambiance of such a highly rated resort. The grounds are beautiful. Food wasn't cooked properly and we had ants crawling on us.
The lawnmower was going and very loud
Over the years, I've eaten several excellent dinners at The Grill. It's a lovely setting just beneath Meadowood's amazing Michelin 3 Star sister. Our most recent meal however was terribly disappointing. The food was barely adequate. The $48 Wagyu steak was an absurdly small portion, 50% fat and excessively salted. The salmon was good but unremarkable. The service was amateurish. The full winelist was, as usual, outstanding but the wines by the glass were overpriced and disappointing...especially striking given how many local winemakers eat there. Since The Valley has so many outstanding restaurants, I'd eat lunch at The Grill but skip dinner. As opposed to Boucheon which has the flavor of the French Laundry, this place bears no resemblance to Chris Kostow's terrific 3 star. Instead, I'd head to town and try his excellent Charter Oak.
Always amazing. Our favorite place in CA! Won't disappoint.
Waited 10 min for a menu, 20 min to order. The service was horrible. I don't really know if we even had a server. Lamb & polenta had no flavor. No one came to check on us during our entire meal. I wanted another glass of wine with dinner, but no one came around.
Service was the star. The food was great, but not unique/nor creative. Desserts were beautiful.
Nice brunch/lunch. Love the outdoor seating.
Charles was a wonderful server. He couldn't have been better. The fish tacos remain the best I have ever had. And the strawberry vacherin for dessert was superb. I will always, always think of The Grill as my most favorite restaurant in the wine country.
I was disappointed in this lunch spot. The Grill was small and the menu was very limited. I was not expecting this from MEADOWOOD RESORT. I had heard so much about this place, I guess I was expecting more.
The food was well prepared, but not overly exciting. While I realize that The Grill is not the same as The Restaurant at Meadowood, which was closed when we were in the area, we expected something... I don't know, more? Appreciated the freshness of vegetables and herbs, and the presentation was very pretty and rustic. On the other hand, seasoning was a little bit off on some (ceviche was a tiny but underseasoned, the polenta that came with the lamb shank was oversalted). The staff were very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely come back to try the Michelin starred restaurant, but for the limited number of times I visit Napa county, I'll probably give the Grill a miss next time I'm in the area.
Early Mother's Day celebration.
Best burger and fries in town and always delish fresh fish. The servers were attentive and all was lovely on the deck and sunset.
We went there for dinner and the staffs were friendly and professional. We sat outside patio and it was next to golf course so the view was greenery. The only disadvantage would be mosquitos fly around or bite you. Appetizer Amberjack ceviche was fantastic awesome and we really felt wanting to have 2nd order but had to leave stomach for main course and dessert. Waygu burger was good but bun could be improved better. The bun was quite dense for us. Bacon was a little overpower on top of Waygu. I got avocado and pretty happy about it. . Dessert: I got strawberry cake and we both love it, sweet with good acidity level and a little tart sorbet to balance with. He got chocolate with sea salt cake and it was good. For bar, they have full bar and also able to do virgin drinks for me ^0^. Overall, we indeed enjoyed our dinner time there and would go back there next time when we visit Calistoga.
We liked our meal but the poor waiter was so stressed- not sure what was going on but maybe they were understaffed. Love this place. The situation is unbelievable.
A great very relaxed restaurant in Napa. Away from the crowds with excellent food in one of the most beautiful settings in the valley
Food not cooked properly.
The Grill at Meadowood is a must-see destination when you are in Napa Valley. The views are incredible of the golf course and surrounding hillsides. It is worthy of a visit just for the views. The service is impeccable. The real standout is the food. W have had brunch here several times and really enjoyed each meal. The Eggs Benedict are delicious, and you can split it between traditional Canadian bacon and smoked salmon. The Huevos Rancheros is the best I've ever had. The price is comparable to other Napa Valley restaurants (kinda expensive), but you get so much more for your money here. Treat yourself, you'll be glad you did.
This is an exclusive resort golf course (read old white folk and young obnoxious white young people) grill that we went for lunch sadly on a Sunday (read obligatory brunch aka eggs). Circumventing the breakfast stuff was hard with little alternatives; normal weekdays may be better.
