Food was amazing!! Service was great, Chelsea did awesome!! We had a fun, filled girls night!!
Lovely service, excellent food!
It was an amazing dinner and overall excellent service/experience. We went for our anniversary and our server, the food, the timing was all great. Maxwell's is one of our favorite places because everyone is so welcoming once you walk in the door to when you leave.
It was what I hoped it would be
Our sever was great and they made our anniversary feel special
Always excellent food and service!
Excellent service and ambiance was a great place.
Hands down the best restaurant in town- and I would say in the world! Been to different continents, including a few 3 Michelin-star restaurants in Europe, and Maxwell is up there! My fave appetizer - ahi tuna. Main course- the lobster dish and spinach pasta. My fave part- the mixed drinks- legit and incredible!
What a wonderful dining experience! Had dinner here as an anniversary celebration—great atmosphere, not too loud and the food was delicious. Our server was also wonderful. (Though I, regretfully, can not remember her name) Good option for date night.
*Note: we had our first experience here shortly after re-open for dine-in during COVID and I was impressed with the measures taken for patron and staff safety while still creating a welcoming environment
You can always count on Maxwells to deliver great service and delicious food.
The food we had was amazing. The wine was great. My husband didn't like a gin cocktail. The sear ahi tuna with sesame seeds, the turkey soup, the berry salad, the tenderloin and the lamb rack were all delicious. The waitress was alittle slow to give us our check but that was it.
We always have a good experience at Maxwells. Food and cocktails were excellent as was the gracious service.
Always a great time. Food is excellent and staff always a joy. Finest restaurant in town!
Jessica was a wonderful server - and the food was all super yummy.
ALWAYS spot on. Love this place. Definitely number 1 go to dinner spot in Fargo.
Went to Maxwells for my birthday dinner....everything was amazing from the time we were greeted at the door to the time we left! Amazing wine, ahi tuna was wonderful followed with the ribeye. The bread pudding dessert is a must!! Wonderful server too! Every time I go here it’s always a wonderful experience!
Warm friendly greeting, awesome service, phenomenal steaks. The usual.
Best restaurant in town. Repeat, best restaurant in town.
Celebrated our mother’s birthday and ate her favorite dishes. Escargot, Bree, Ali Tuna and then Lamb. All of it was perfect. Our waiter Payton was great too, he took good care if us and went at our pace. Will definitely be back.
We shared the $87 steak - high expectations, low/medium results. Presentation 5/5 stars, quality/taste 2 stars. Medium rare and was still chewy when we expected melt in your mouth.
Maxwells is the top fine dining in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Service is always outstanding, food is phenomenal.
My very favorite place to go. They have the best food and are so accommodating to the special dietary needs I have! Everyone is always so friendly and kind and everything I’ve ordered has been perfect and tasty! Love this place and highly recommend!
They had their lobster bisque on special. It was delicious.
Appetizer was ribs, very good, liked by all.
Two persons had salmon- both were very overcooked and basically inedible. One had Elk tenderloin which was excellent but all vegetables (red potato and asparagus) were so overcooked to be tasteless and barely edible. One had lobster fettichini which was very good.
Overall, very disappointing main dish food, especially for the price. Service was excellent. One very loud party was annoying until their food arrived.
We ordered the wagyu steaks. They were cooked perfect but very fatty. We were not impressed. Every wagyu steak we’ve had has been wonderful...this steak was horrible! We were so disappointed. Everything else was wonderful-salad, dessert, drinks... We will try again but will not recommend the wagyu steak to anyone.
We gave the server a general idea of what type of wine we like (A good medium body red but not overly dry, tend to lean more to Pinots, etc. ) looking for suggestions. She gave a vague “well everything on our menu is great” and when I gave more detail she hesitated and said she could go ask someone. I settled for the 10$ And 12$ glasses to be safe, since the bottles started at 40$ And I had very little to go off of. We ordered the cheese plate with cured meats. No description or information of the meats whatsoever, and a quick, “cheddar, blank, blank” on the cheese, not listing type (goat, sheep, etc.) or region. We both ordered the Wagyu beef, it being my husbands first time trying it, and my 3rd. We both ordered medium and received rare steaks that were overly charred on the outsides. We both settled with the rare, given the high quality meat, but All we could taste was the burnt outside, which completely ruined the “buttery” taste & texture wagyu is supposed to have. It was very disappointing. The asparagus was cooked perfectly, but the potatoes were nothing remarkable. I ordered a scoop of coffee ice cream, which was delightfully rich and refreshing at the same time. For ringing up a 300$ tab I was very disappointed. I don’t bat an eye spending lots of money on good food, but I Personally wouldn’t go back. My mother and sister swear up and down that Maxwells is the best in town, however. Just be cautious about your menu selections I suppose.
The food, and service was phenomenal. I’ve never been to a place like this, and would gladly go again. Well worth the price!
Maxwells never disappoints - fine dining at it's best! This is at least the fourth trip for us and it was delicious as always. The service was great. There was a large group in an adjoining area, but not so loud as to be a bother - they were simply enjoing themselves. We've been fortunate to have the same server each time and he is knowledgable about the menu and specials, always courteous and attentive. We were there for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We'll definitely be back for our next "occasion". I will say, we would not consider this a "family dining establishment" - especially if you have younger children.
We love Maxwell’s. It is our go to for fine dining, top notch plates will rival fine dining anywhere in the country.
Excellent food!! We have never had a bad meal at Maxwells. Very friendly staff as well.
Peyton our server was excellent and very attentive and truly knew how to properly open a bottle of wine. For my main entree I had the beef tenderloin which was excellent and my wife had the soup as a starter which was also very good followed by the rib eye which was horrible...tough, under cooked with strips of sinew through the meat something we did not expect from a restaurant of this quality.
Peyton was very apologetic and asked my wife if he could get her something else but at this point she had totally lost her appetite. I tried a piece of her rib eye and honestly it did not seem to even taste like a good cut of beef that I put it back on the plate!
It was fabulous... great food, friendly service, exceptional Malbec and the dessert was hmmm superb.
Only missing Licor 43 and the expresso.
Maybe next time
Great menu with selections you won't find anywhere else in Fargo. The elk tenderloin was perfect. Service excellent. Perfect
As always Maxwell's exceeded our expectations for quality and service
Great!!! As usual. Fantastic crew they have there. Always friendly. Always willing to accommodate. Always the best!
Maxwells is the greatest surprise in all of FARGO. Eat there and be happy!
Consistently great food. Interesting specials that are always unexpected in a strip mall in West Fargo, ND!
This was my first visit and they exceeded my already high expectations in every way
