Service was excellent, dinner was exquisite. Highly recommend.
The chef's tasting was delicious and spectacular. Great service!
My sister’s first trip to CDMX, I wanted only the best dining experience for her. This was it! Perfect absolute perfect!
I had the surprise tasting menu and I cant even explain how delicious the food was!!!!! This is certainly a must in cdmx!!
Food a d service not up to pricing
Could not fault the food. Everything was absolutely outstanding. The only disappointing part was being sat outside where there were only empty tables after have a reservation locked in for several weeks. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table inside the restaurant. For a restaurant of this level, it should be expected that guests want to sit inside to soak in the atmosphere and not on an empty side walk.
The pulpo ceviche was really good 😍
I’m a chef from Toronto on vacation and the meal was amazing I loved every thing . The food was great the staff so accommodating it’s on my list for my next visit
The waitstaff were very nice and happy to provide recommendations on the menu. Try the ant larvae!
This was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I traveled through South America and Mexico for a month and ate at some of the top restaurants in the word . Out of all of them I wish I was another day in Mexico City to eat here ! Thanks again
Absolutely delicious! Gorgeous presentation, fantastically creative, and amazingly attentive, caring, helpful staff. Would LOVE to return one day!
I chose the tasting menu with wine pairing and I can’t recommend it enough. Every bite was exquisite. The service was excellent and the staff were very knowledgeable about each dish. I also loved that the wine pairing included some Mexican wines I might not otherwise have tried.
Flavour and fine dining in a relaxed setting
I had been wanting to visit Maximo Bistrot for a long time and finally got around to doing it. The restaurant is laid back and international with a mixed crowd of tourists and middle class Mexicans
I had the taster menu and it did not disappoint, it states 4 courses on the menu but you end up with 6-7 different plates. I actually thought the first dish, sashimi, was the most complex in terms of flavours as there were layers upon layers of flavour and it was an explosion of deliciousness in your mouth! All courses were delicious but I particularly enjoyed the duck with sweet potato and the sea bass with cabbage and green coconut mole.
The sweet courses were a little simple and unambitious - I felt that the chef could have introduced more texture and flavour combinations than the tried and tested. A pineapple sorbet and chocolate tart with Baileys ice cream lacked the elevation of ingredients that you expect of top class restaurants. That’s not to say they didn’t taste good.
This restaurant is expensive and for a decent bottle of wine shared (450$) and the taster menu (1300$) together you are looking at 2,000$ MX including tip.
Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience and I personally prefer a more relaxed, cool atmosphere to a stuffy, overattentive one so it worked well for us for a special meal.
We were hurried in and out of the restaurant in under 45 minutes for dinner. The service was nice and the food was pretty good (but not outstanding), but absolutely nothing memorable about the experience or ambiance. Not good value, particularly in Mexico City, where there are many other excellent fine dining options for the same price or less. It was recommended by friends who presumably had a much better time, so our experience may have been an outlier, but we wouldn’t come back here.
Excelente como siempre. Gran servicio y excelente comida!
Thank you for your gluten-free knowledge and options!
Beautifully executed dishes that are rich and flavourful. We left stuffed.
One of the best meals of my life! Incomparable service, on another level.
Eduardo Garcia is top 5 chef in Mexico
Maximo bistrot is one of the best restaurants I've been to in CDMX. The food is exquisite and very creative, and the drinks are equally fantastic. I highly recommend Maximo to anyone visiting CDMX.
Wow! It doesn’t get better than this!!
Great spot for a nice lunch or dinner. Octopus ceviche was amazing
Wonderful meal and service. Tasting menu was great.
I wish they had
Very nice bistrot! Amazing food and service!
