Love this restaurant, unassuming but fabulous food y service. The art of food❤️
Buena comida, servicio regular
Maximo Bistro was phenomenal! Would highly recommend and has been one of my favorite meals in Mexico City.
Fresh ingredients, amazing preparation, one of the best hidden gems in the city.
I arrived on time. The restaurant was not ready for guests.
My greeting was distracted and indifferent.
I had to ask for a menu -- after ten minutes at my table.
I had a drink order taken at that time.
I was ignored for the rest of my visit until I decided to leave.
We went for lunch and the food was beyond delicious and the service was lovely. The eggplant dip and bread that comes with your meal is to die for - we got two! Amazing!
Lunch was delicious and just what we wanted on a lovely day. The presentation was beautiful. Portions are small but that suits us. We like to taste, rather than fill up on our meals. Both the roast suckling pig and lamb with morel mushrooms in cream were delicious, perfectly prepared with a golden skin on the pork and pink lamb slices. The lime pie was a deconstructed version, layers of custard topped by meringue and sprinkled with a 'crust' of pastry crumbs, not too sweet and standing tall in the dish. Excellent tempranillo from Valle de Guadalupe.
We had a nice street-side table instead of one in the noisy interior. But our conversation kept being drowned out by mariachi groups that kept cruising past. Only one table give a tip, while the rest let the musicians pass.
Every dish was outstanding.
Definitely a must if you are visiting Mexico City.
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and the service was great- just a lovely way to spend our evening while visiting CDMX
This restaurant is fantastic. All the food was top notch and the cocktails were excellent. I ate at a lot of the top restaurants in Mexico City and I think this is probably a top 5 experience. I did not do the tasting menu but I could see that being even better.
Food (calabaza soup, risotto, lamb) was all fine but nothing special, especially for the price. Alaska Cocktail was *way* too sour.
The food was excellent
Traveled from Denver Colorado USA to have dinner at Chef Garcia’s place. Our waiter, Pedro, was great...knowledgeable, great pairing suggestions, and a ton of fun! Tip: if you don’t get the elotes w/ white truffle you have made a dangerous mistake! Fantastic experience! Bucket list must when in Ciudad de Mexico!!!!
We had a lovely meal. They were very accommodating when we showed up 45 minutes late due to horrible traffic. We had the chefs tasting menu and everything was fresh with creative touches. We particularly liked the strawberry mezcal cocktails and the fish courses. We sat outside which was pleasant. The inside of the restaurant is a bit crowded and loud.
Harming place, terrific wines, creative food perfectly cooked - delicious!
Amazing and delicious as always. Pedro is the waiter to request.
Take a chance and try something that might be out of your comfort zone, Chef García and his team have a knowledge and passion for the food they are offering.
This is a place where you can relax and eat and enjoy the energy of others who have come to do the same. Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful design.
The best food I have ever had.
Amazing food and great service
Maximo Bistrot was the best dinner we had in Mexico City with delicious, well-prepared food and unobtrusive, yet attentive service. Every course was excellent and the desserts were outstanding too. The night we went a celebrity chef (Jonathan Waxman) was dining, and there was absolutely no noticeable effect on our service. It is a very unpretentious place with exemplary food.
Excellent food, service and staff. A fantastic experience!
Impeccable food with delicious ingredients. Everything from the food itself to the wait staff to the ambience is excellent! Definitely a must try place.
Maximo Bistrot was one of my highlights of Mexico City. Don’t miss it!
Great great great!!
This was an unbelievibgly good meal. We are from Belgium. A bit our (and french) type of food, but with local mexican ingerdients and wonderfull taste.
I was so excited to go to Maximo Bistrot after reading it was doing great things with food, and they where not wrong, the food, was superb! One thing I didn't like, was the reception. We arrived 20 mins early, went inside and got promptly told we couldn't enter as they where cleaning the tables. You would think that they could offer you a cocktail, and seat you on one of the many ready, and empty tables outside.
The best food in town
Recomendado pie Rick Bayless - y era
and o menos como lo describio. Muy buena comida, creative. Personal muy atento.
Everything was delicious! The food was very good and so were the drinks. Friendly and good waiters.
Great. Everything was great
Five stars for the food. We shared five dishes. They were superb. Usual food prepared wonderfully with interesting and simple twists. The squash soup was warming to the soul; the baby corn nicely prepared; the artichokes in its own broth with tarragon; the beets presented nicely and the snapper with creamed eggplant and fish sauce. This menu represented the use of usual ingredients used uniquely. The kind of restaurant that makes those that like to cook among us say: 'Why don't I try something like that.' The prices compared to the other ridiculously expensive places as with Quintinil and Puhol guarantee that you will have received value in your meal.
The service not so good. And I did not have expectations in a restaurant like this of white glove service. Never returned or asked for my drink order. Would have like another piece of bread to collect some of the remaining broths and sauces, allowed the customers next to us to double up in their chairs making our experience somewhat uncomfortable and certainly claustrophobic, cannot read the menu given the lighting inside where we sat and the placement by the door a little too chilly for full comfort.
We would recommend Maximo to those visiting CDMX and locals who are looking for a wonderful hidden gem. Outstanding food and service in a quiet little bistro. The best meal we have had in a long long time. We will come back!
The food was delicious! Everything we ate was delicate and divine. Our only disappointment was in the dessert selections. We were very happy!
Really tasty food in a buzzy atmosphere. Would love to go back and try more of the menu.
Todo estaba bien
La comida espectacular. El chef muy amable. Gente conocida. Ambiente agradable.
