Maximo Bistrot is an intimate restaurant in the Roma area that provides guests with Mexican, French and European cuisine. The cozy dining room features dim lighting along with a combination of table and booth seating and large beautiful windows. Maximo Bistrot also provides customers the option of dining indoors or outside on the beautiful street side patio.
The menu offers provide a wide array of options. Menu items include lobster pasta with calamari ink, asparagus with poached egg and hollandaise sauce, ceviche with stone crab and octopus ceviche. There is also a complete bar menu.

Lovely food and brilliant service. Massively impressed with Maximo Bistrot
I was disappointed overall. I saw Maximo Bistro on Anthony Bourdain and made a reservation weeks in advance. The service was great, but for such high prices I would expect great flavors and didn’t really find any. One of the dessert servings was really good, but another was not at all. I wanted to like it, but it came up short for me and definitely wasn’t worth the high prices.
This was a very average meal with really scattered and unprofessional service.
The bean soup was great, but both of our entrees were nothing special. I had the mushroom risotto, which relied completely on the cheese sprinkled on top for flavor. My mom had red snapper, which was in a broth that had very little flavor.
The service was terrible. There were 5 waiters, none of whom seemed to have any idea what they were doing. They were also unfriendly. At the end of the meal, they counted the money right at the table, and didn't say thank you for dining until they finished counting the money.
I've never experienced that before. The whole thing was embarrassing as it was my suggestion we go there. Not a good way to end my time in Mexico City.
We had a very great visit with excellent food. Especially the mussles were magnificent. The only claim is that the serving happend too fast, and we had to ask them to slow it down. This might be a preference from our site.
We both had the tasting menu. We added the pulpo (octopus) cevichi. Everything was outstanding. No weak links. The waiter said we'd have 4 plates but I think we had at least 6. One course was scallops. We each were served one half of a scallop. Kind of weird but it was the best scallop I ever had. One course was waygu (spelling) beef. Very nice portion and really yummy. Cocktails were great too.
Top notch food, good decor BUT, too dark, too noisy, and service rushed and brusque. Also got segregated into the "gringo room" so why bother going to mex to eat???

Amazing culinary experience in a very hip area of Mexico city. Great location for small parties of 2-3. Service is slow unless you are spending a lot, but for two with full meals and drinks it isn't terrible. The food was truly excellent though.
You cannot hope for better service than we received at Maximo Bistrot and the food was outstanding with a few surprising mistakes: roast lamb sliced carpaccio thin and sandy scallops. There is essentially no ambiance and the restaurant feels chaotic.

Overrated... We tried to keep our expectations down (a lot of people recommended it), but the food wasn't incredible for the price. Tiny, tiny portions. Wouldn't be back.

Had the four-course dinner, but it was more like six! Great food and service, would recommend to anyone and everyone. It's a must if you come to visit Mexico City!
Overall, the food was delicious. My only disappointment involved the dessert. I ordered the pan francés, which came with chocolate ice cream and a sort of blueberry jam. I noticed that the blueberries were not ripe and the ice cream had a “refrigerator” aftertaste. This is not a big deal (the warm bread was delicious), but for the price, this shouldn’t have happened. Despite this, I would come back and recommend the place.
I can say that this place was absolutely impressive in every way! We were blown away. The generosity of the staff, the level of flavors Chef Garcia was able to get by combining ingredients without overwhelming your tastebuds with one component or the other was impressive.
Our waiter, Pedro was on point at all times. Pedro knew the menu top to bottom. He was able to make some great suggestions and his timing was impeccable.
We ordered three appetizers, which were paced out perfectly, one after the next. The chef even sent something special for us to try, it was phenomenal.
Everything left me wanting more. We ordered so much food, we decided to take our muscles in white wine home to make room for our other food. But Pedro came back with another dish telling us that the chef didn’t think the muscles would taste good reheated so he made them into another dish and to give them a try. They were delicious, and we ended up eating every bite.
My raviolis stuffed with porcini mushrooms were excellent . I know it sounds so simple but there was something very wonderful about the subtle additions of ingredients that all came together with each bite.
My husband had the roasted leg of lamb. It was amazing as well.
The food here is not pretentious or intimidating. The food is made by someone who has a love for combining seasonal ingredients and a passion for flavor, blending ingredients together until he has perfection.
The desserts are not to be missed either. With a great wine list to accompany the meal from start to finish you can’t go wrong.
At the end of our meal, we were invited to the back to tour the kitchen and meet the chef. This was really going above and beyond, we really had a great night at Maximo Bistrot.

I went with a group of four to celebrate a birthday. Two of us were vegan and they were able to accommodate a vegan menu. Everything was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Everything in the plate was fantastic. Service is at best distracted.

My friend and I had an amazing dinner. We can’t remember the last time we have had fish so fresh. The whole meal was delicious. The service was great and the waiters made great food and wine suggestions. They also offer classes for which you can sign up for via email.
Every time we visit Mexico City we make sure to make a stop at Maximo's. This place is simply AMAZING.
The menu changes EVERY DAY, and no matter what we have ordered it is divine! Hopefully, next time we visit the city we will be enjoying at this unique,gem of a restaurant!

Mi vida ha cambiado, si me regalaban un carajillo me quedaba a vivir.
Al llegar al restaurante estaba lloviendo y aún así la chica que nos recibió en la entrada nos sentó en la parte exterior cuando se veían algunas mesas desocupadas en el interior. A pesar de que tenían un calefactor en la parte de afuera, no lo prendieron hasta después de un rato.
Pedimos varios platillos que estuvieron bien pero pasaron desapercibidos en cuanto nos trajeron la tabla de triple creme, una delicia, solo por eso valió la pena la visita.

Elegimos el menú de degustación con maridaje, los primeros dos platillos fueron realmente increíbles (carpaccio y la sopa) el pescado y la carne estaban secos y sin sabor, los postres me gustaron realmente, pero algo fatal fue la elección de vino para terminar, ni siquiera tomé un segundo trago y me amargó la boca.

sin duda el chef tiene una buena propuesta culinaria, ahora bien NO entiendo la necesidad de contaminar una extraordinaria proteína con un sabor tan delicado como es el centollo (cangrejo) que debería resaltar por su textura y hacerlo parecer una gordita de plaza plagándolo de salsa de cilantro que a fin de cuentas esconde todo, pésima costumbre herencia peruana o Inca para nuestra gastronomia que es mucho mas delicada esa seria mi única critica lo demás fue espectacular
