PATCO 15th and Locust
Our 12 year old wanted to go here as part of his 12th birthday celebration with a couple friends. They accommodated our last minute request for an "adult" table and a separate kids table. The staff was SUPERB handling the kids' needs as well as ours. They made us feel comfortable, happy and calm. KUDDOS to the INCREDIBLE service + the food and desserts were SO good! Thanks for making our special occasion EXTRA special!
My daughter selected Max Brenner's to celebrate her birthday. We were also celebrating a wedding this week and the birthday of another family member. Such a wonderful experience! Our server went above and beyond in doing all she could to make this a memorable occasion for us. And ohhhh, the chocolate. At the end I ordered an affogato. Lusciously delicious! I can't wait to return!
VERY Dirty. Booth had ripped upholstery. Floors were filthy. Very expensive for a burger joint... desserts just ok.
Great experience. It was our first time there and we only went for dessert. We are all so full!! You only live once. Go big or go home!
Food cameout quickly
Milk shake and cactail was delisius !
Server did try to keep up good service but I think she just had too manny tables .
Music was little too loud and not much space between the tables .
I had the veggie burger and it was soooooo good the fries are bomb and def a prefect completion to one of your drinks.
Brought my 12 year old daughter and her friend as a last minute plan. The menu was appealing to all and the desserts were fun and to die for! We got a sparkly candle on one of the desserts when we told them there was a recent birthday. Staff was really helpful and friendly.
Max brenner was good but very noisy. Reminds me of a nicer Friendly's.
It turns out that if you reserve a table through open table, it defaults to a hightop table (and there is no option to request a normal table) and they wouldn’t give us a normal table. For our party of six it was rather uncomfortable sitting in the tall stools with no back support. We were also seated by the stinky and loud kitchen. Burgers were burnt on outside, rest of food was poor. Desert was only good part. Will never go again.
We had a wonderful 21st birthday dinner for my daughter on 8/4. Our server Connor did an excellent job with th “21” candles I brought and the sparkler he placed !!!
This place is fabulous! My daughter has been nagging to come back to try a different dessert...so we did. The crepes are gorgeous.
Great food and great friendly service. Wonderful experience.
The food is good, but obviously it's the drinks and dessert that really stand out. If There's one thing you have to order, it's the dark chocolate martini. Trust me.
Delicious, fun food. Space is a little limited (size of the table and proximity to the next table).
The food was good, solid assortment of cocktails but the deserts were amazing!
Food was above average, and the desserts were just amazing. It is a great place to have a nice meal, and have some fun at the same time. My only complaint is for some reason, as other have mentioned, the service is extremely slow. Our server was an incredibly nice and friendly, but his service was very, very slow.
This was our first visit to Max Brenners, being life-long Philadelphia residents..... It was terrific! The food and drinks were great and our waitress was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
I basically rate restaurants on if I would go back or not, I will not be going back here, we had reservations and ended up waiting anyway then when directed to a table it wasn't ready then went to another and that one wasnt ready then the hottest asked us to just wait for a little which turned into another 5 minutes but we werestanding around tables where people were eating and made it somewhat awkward. The hostesses and wait staff seemed like it was a chore to do there job and where somewhat pushy with ordering and finishing up even though there were empty tables. The food and drinks were very good but nothing could ever be worth putting up with the un-organized and chaotic environment. Take your money and time elsewhere.
Service was great! Food was delicious. The guest of honor enjoyed herself very much.
Needs some upkeeping ,Ie: food on walls , needs painting, holes .
Dirty , tiles were cracked.
Just overall feel was dirty.
Do not order the s’mores concoction dessert. It is literally a jar of whipped cream. No chocolate mousse like in the description, just melted chocolate at the bottom. So disappointed.
We were treating our daughters to dinner and a show. Always a good meal and kids love it
My 10 year old asked to come here for lunch. It was a really great experience - food was lovely and the chocolate fondue was to die for. Delicious! We will return.
We went for dinner before a show. The food was good; but dessert looked even better. This would be a great place to split the entre and save room for dessert. I wish that I had known that before ordering. Next time. It is very loud here and not a great place for conversation.
Loud, crowded, disorganized, and dirty with slow service. Food was unremarkable.
Entrees were very good. The mousse was confusing. Kyle was very helpful as our server.
2nd time there & everything was just as good as the last time! Already want to go back again!!!
Love the atmosphere and kid friendly vibe at this restaurant, but our food was not very good. I thought the prices were ridiculous for the quality and quantity of the food served. I had the caprese chicken sandwich, which was ok, but it only came with 4 small waffle fries. I could have had a better sandwich with double the fries for half the price at chic-fil-a! My kids had the kid's pizza and it was terrible. Neither child ate it. My husband's steak was not cooked at all the way he ordered so he barely ate that. Desserts were decent, but not served at the same time. Our server was very pleasant. The bathroom line was ridiculous since there were only two stalls.
We came off-peak timing, between lunch and dinner, so it wasn't too crowded, or too loud. Our 2 6 year old girls were treated very well- treat my kid well, and you are on the top of my list! Food was amazing.
I have been there at peak dinner time, and its usually very loud and noisy, and cramped but coming at 3:00 on a Saturday was perfect.
Service was extremely slow. Our server was very apologetic..we might have caught them on a busy day where they had less staff. The food made up for everything else.
Come only for dessert. If you like chocolate you'll have a hard time choosing what to order. Dinner was mediocre and service was very slow, and it wasn't even very crowded.
My daughter wanted to come here for her birthday remembering it from years ago. Food was good, dessert was great.
Really good place the staff were very welcoming and the girl (didn't catch the name) with the green top was very welcoming, found out specific requirements for us (I.e. alcohol present) and went out of her way to help us. To top it off she was absolutely gorgeous (call me).
Our server Ryan was incredibly slow. He did not bring what we ordered to the table...basically forgot about us. It took over 25 mins for our dessert to arrive and we had to ask for the coffee we ordered with it twice. The food was not worth what you get charged.
For a second year in a row, we came here to celebrate my choco-holic husband's birthday. The menu has changed slightly, as the dessert he had and really enjoyed last year was no longer available. He was disappointed in that. Overall, our meal was delicious and a good value for city dining!
Max Brenner is great for special occasions and when you want to eat somewhere with great dessert! If you go, you definitely need to splurge and get dessert. It is their speciality.
The server was the best part. Amazing deserts but main course was over priced and not cooked properly. Other then that it was a very nice time.
Took our granddaughter there after the theater. Not a big dinner selection but what we got was great. Dessert was outstanding.
This was my third visit to Max's place, it had been years since my last visit and it has completely gone downhill (to say the least). Details follow:
-Service was terribly disappointing.
-Table was disappointing for 3 people.
-Children's meal was overcooked and disappointing.
-Waiting area was disappointing.
-Overall experience was highly disappointing!
We made reservations for dinner before going to see Aladdin. Despite having a reservation we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The decibel level was so loud you could barely hear yourself think. You had to yell to communicate with the waitress and your dinner guests.
There was always a line for the bathroom which was dirty.
However we all enjoyed our food. Although the open flame for toasting marshmallows seems like a law suit waiting to happen, the girls enjoyed it very much. And of course the chocolate was delicious.
I would go back as well as recommend
