Crowded, slow service, but the food and desserts are good. My 9 and 12 y/o liked it.
We waited a really long time for our food, so just be prepared. The server was awesome about it, snd took one our entrees off the bill. The food was good, but you go for the dessert which was amazing:)
They took forever just to ask us if we wanted drinks,we didnt have a server,we had to call them over to order. service was terrible, the steak was extremely dry and the potatoes were minimum, not a $24 dish. we made reservations and came on time and still had to wait over 30 minutes to be waited just with drinks. not surprising,we were the only black girls in there and they acted like they didnt want to serve us.
Phenomenal grandkids were in heaven
Good food, service was good but slow. Menu is diverse and the brunch options were nice. Did not know this could be a brunch spot but it was great
Delicious! Friendly staff and great dessert. The crepe was great.
I went for my mothers birthday, and have been before and have had amazing experiencea. Today was completely different. We got sat right away and was greeted in a timely matter, however the server didn't greet with water, explaining they just put it in the fridge, which is understandable. We put in our whole order, including drinks and the server left. We waited 40 minutes for two pepsis, a milkshake and the boozy lemonade. And we still did not get water, instead when we asked was told "oh I asked you if you wanted some" When no, you told us it was put in the fridge and we expected to get it when it was cold. We ordered fries for an appetizers, which came out with our food, which we got an hour after we sat. The two burgers came out with soggy buns and were not brioche as stated, until we got a new bun. The sauteed onions on the regular cheeseburger was not sauteed, as well as the "romain lettuce" On the signature burger appeared like the tips of two spinach leaves, and we're very tiny and wilted. The only redemption was the dessert, which we had to ask for even though I told them prior it was a birthday dinner, and even then was met with some doubt before being told that they would do what they muster up bc they don't do anything really, even tho a table in the section next to us had a birthday and got their dessert with no raised eyebrows. I am a service worker, a server myself, and I do not normally leave reviews and I give many chances but tonight I felt very underwhelmed and very upset bc the service was not up to par with what I've seen many times before. For a slow Thursday night I was very insulted about how terrible the food and dining experience was.
Great food, great atmosphere!
Lovely food and great service
Remember when Micheal Scott talked about an amazing pizza place and went to Sbarro? This is the date spot version of that. My fault for not realizing it’s a chain and also for looking for Friday reservations in center city late. Guess there was a reason it was still available..
We visited Max Brenner for a casual atmosphere to have dinner with our two sons, one is in college in Philadelphia. I was so pleased because we have been here before, however never had this type of pleasant experience. It wasn’t very busy as previous and we had a lovely dinner without all of the noise typically filling the ambiance here. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy a meal and not feel crowded, rushed, and be able to communicate without leaning over the table to hear! The food was so good as usual, and we all enjoyed a milkshake at the end to go!! We will visit again since we just love the food and especially the sweets!!!
Wonderful waiter! Overall a great time!
We were celebrating my grandsons 6th birthday.
Went for dessert and the churros were to die for!
The restaurant was filthy.
Pizza, panini and artichoke dip were all delicious. We had no room for dessert, try saving room as the dessert list looks scrummy. Service was on point. Atmosphere was nice and quiet. Best part was looking into the eyes of the love of my life.
Chocolatier, but great spot for brunch! Highly recommend the Oreo hot chocolate for dessert and the savory lunch items were great.
YUMMY! Everything was delicious & presented nicely. Our waiter was very nice & helpful too!
A great place to take someone who loves chocolate, but also a solid place to take anyone if you just need to eat.
Small portions, overpriced, slow service, definitely not what I remembered at all. Will not be back
Great hidden tourist spot for a late sweet treat!
Overpriced dated and dusty. Wallpaper pealing off the wall. Same candy in display jars from 10+ years ago. Noted on reservations it was grandbaby bday. No candles on desert pizza which got thrown in the trash along with her beverage when we stepped away to use restroom.
Their menu was limited (maybe due to covid) but we all still enjoyed everything we ordered. Our server, Elijah, was great.
Food was good, we wanted to order dessert but our server took almost 40 mins to get back to us and we didn't want to stay longer. Took another 35 minutes to pay and leave.
Understaffed!! Our waitress did her best, but she had no help.
- food was uncooked, poor service, bad seating.
Service was excellent but our table was a little messy but the waiter cleaned it immediately did not like the water bottle but otherwise my meal was excellent I also got dessert which also was excellent overall I had a wonderful experience and would return
Great place, great staff, great atmosphere, would recommend
Very rude person at the host stand. Clearly understaffed and everyone was stressed. Kacie was great. Took over an hour for food to come, seems silly for burgers and fries. Also, every surface is sticky, can't be clean. Would avoid.
Good was terrible, but service was good. Unfortunate to feel that we drove into the city for a delicious meal and wasted our time and money.
Cute place! Great food and service! Amazing chocolate desserts and drinks!
The food was just average and the chocolate tasted a little stale. The service, however, is exceptional. They were attentive, friendly and fast. Unfortunately great service isn’t a reason to return for so-so food.
From the time we entered the door everything was perfect. The hostess greeted us with a smile soon as i said my name she knew i had a reservation and made all the requirements happen sense i was dining with two little ones. The waiter was on point remembered our order down to the drinks psid special attention to my two kids. It was all wonderful.
It was super hot and you can tell that the staff is effected by the pandemic. Overall was ok
Great restaurant good food the chocolate was so good and my server was awesome
Great as always!! Love the Chocolate cocktails & Cant go wrong with any Desert! Pecan Caramel Chocolate is over all time favorite!
Good food, menu larger online than the printed menus... tables not cleared until ready to be used for new people to be seated.
Not worth it except for desert until they get the regular menu back. The current “covid” menu is incredibly limited
Trey was a great server, the desserts were really yummy. We only wish we lived closer to come again soon!
food was really good. the chocolate was sublime. but very noisy restaurant. lots of kids so a noisy but happy place
