Matteo's Ristorante Italiano
Conveniently located on the square of downtown Noblesville, across the street from the courthouse.
Cheese stuffed Tortellini pasta. Served over a creamy sauce with ham, mushrooms, onion and parmesan cheese
Two chicken breasts sauted in Marsala wine sauce with garlic, mushrooms and cream. Topped with Prosciutto and melted mozzarella cheese. Served over Italian rice pilaf
Ravioli Maria Rosa
Ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta cheese, cooked in a light tomato-cream sauce
we are really trying to help the restaurant but man the service is terrible. Not busy at all and it took forever to get our 1st drink order, she forget the wine we ordered. The bread was as hard as croutons. Just bad service. Last 2/3 times it has been terrible.
We have dined here often. Overall we have been well satisfied with the food as well as the ambiance. Our server did a great job throughout our dinner. Two of us enjoyed excellent entrees. My wife was somewhat disappointed in her entree since it differed from how the menu described it.
The food was excellent the services was as good or better. Atmosphere was nice. We will definitely be back.
We ate outdoors, so it was very hard to grade the ambiance and noise level
Local businesses are always our go to and we look forward to date nights at Matteo’s - the authentic cuisine, the ambiance, and the service are worth every dime.
Had a wonderful meal. Wait staff was attentive and superb!
Had a fantastic time! Great authentic food, and friendly staff.
I really want to give 5 starts to Matteo's. Of my 2 visits, I've very much enjoyed the food both times. Service was good both times, as well.
However, the ambiance is going downhill. There was red duct tape across the seat of our booth - and the seats are tired.
Here's the thing - I would *want* to bring my friends here for the food - but I'm not proud of the quality of the environment. :(
I sincerely hope Matteo's will spend a little money to improve the facility before it starts to look cheesy or junky due to age and no maintenance.
Great service from Miguel. Food is always great.
Really had a great experience here last weekend. My wife & I had the the Pollo Quattro Formaggio and Chicken Lasagna, both were fantastic. Also highly recommend their Tiramisu for dessert! Their whole staff is very friendly, but not overbearing. My wife & I are moving to the area next spring and are glad we found our new favorite date night spot!
For some reason service was very slow. Not sure if there was a problem in the kitchen. Waited for our food for quite some time. Eventually the owner brought our food to us.
You would think that after a time, a restaurant could not get better, but Matteo's does. They do not disappoint. As usual, the service and food were top notch. I like the fact that there is no "helicoptering" by the wait staff. The first restaurant we think of when dining out.
As in our past experience, our server was MOST gracious, helpful, just a delight. Food and beverages were delicious. Sweet complementary dessert in honor of my husband's 77th birthday. Your choice of music again FANTASTIC! Atmosphere, art work -- we highly recommend Matteo's!
Great food and great service!
Excellent food. Our first time here.
Delicious and hot. Wine was great, server was very knowledgeable of the menu and the specials.
Noise level was perfect not too loud not too quiet.
Atmosphere is quintessential Italian restaurant (decor and presentation of wait staff).
Service was slow. This was a Saturday night at peak dinner time.
Probably could have used additional wait staff to keep wait times for food down.
Our waitress was good she was just over booked with tables.
It was nice and quiet which is a nice change compared to all the tv they put in restrictions now
Great home town restaurant with super food
Thank you for a special night
Very tasty, fresh food. Lots of really good options to choose from too!
Our weekly favorite date night place. great food, better service then last time, just an enjoyable evening.
Tortellini Mateo is our favorite dish and always delicious!
Loved it. My phone would not scan the barcode menu, but we were then given paper menus. Ravioli was fantastic. I would like softer bread but I would definitely return.
Food was wonderful- just took a point away because kitchen was slow getting our food out to us.
They seated us at the best table in the house by the windows. We were able to look out at the city. It was perfect! The food was excellent as well as the service. I would go back in a heartbeat if I wasn’t visiting from out of town.
Charming concept but the food is really mediocre. Like... nothing commendable about any of the dishes. You can tell there is no chef guiding the kitchen it’s all poorly cooked, badly plated and over or under seasoned. Step up your game folks, there are much better options.
We love Matteo’s......great food. Service is a little slow but manageable. If you try Matteo’s you will be a regular ."....................................................................................
My wife and I came in Saturday night for our anniversary dinner. (we go ever year and this is our 8th time) The waitress was super nice and sweet. My only complaint was my food. The dinner was supposed to come with pilaf and i got spaghetti noodles. The menu never mentioned spaghetti and our waitress offered to exchange but I was too hungry (lol). She did give us a free dessert, but it wasn't something we would ask for. Sorry for sounding like this but this is my opinion.
The dinner itself was fantastic, unfortunately the desert we ordered turned out to be a brownie (although good) we thought we had ordered chocolate cake.
Be patient. Everything is made from scratch. Order a bottle of their private label Cabernet. I suggest the calamari as an appetizer. All entrees are outstanding and full of flavor. Don’t eat too much bread, served with olive oil and spices, not butter. Make sure you save room for creme brûlée or the tiramisu. Make a reservation in advance especially on Friday or Saturday evenings.
Outdoor eating in the alley was tastefully done and made for a very nice evening. Portion size is good and meal presentation was very good. Exceptional service with good food but a little pricey. I will go back for a nice evening out.
Pasta was piping hot! That isn’t easy to accomplish. Veal piccata was outstanding. All was great except understanding the waiter with his mask on. Certainly not his fault. Great, great restaurant.
Food was great as always! Only complaint was that we got our bread 3 minutes before our meal came.
Birthday dinner for my friend. Still cautiously navigating the COVID process. We were seated outside well distanced from anyone else. We had early reservations which I think is part of the key to social distancing.
Our waiter was very kind and patient with us as we just wanted to catch up after not seeing each other for months.
We kept our meal simple. Bottle of Pinot noir with our bread. I had a Caesar sales which was very nice and my friend had a house salad. My main meal was one of the specials: crab and shrimp mixed on fettuccine with a Rosa sauce. The sauce was yummy, but very little crab and only 2 shrimp pieces. My friend had the lasagna and he enjoyed it. For dessert, and on the house, we shared a delightful creamy gelatin with a raspberry drizzle. Overall a very nice evening.
All good as usual, great service also
Excellent service and staff, accommodating chef i.e. making off menu dinners if possible. Didn’t rush us at all, had a nice leisurely meal with friends. Definitely recommend!
Fantastic food. Fantastic service. Charming location.
The restaurant made every accommodation to keep their patrons safe during this time.
With proper distance between tables being outdoors. The wait staff wore mask. I was very happy.
I love Matteo's! The food is always fantastic. I especially loved their outdoor set up in the little alley, the atmosphere was perfect!
Almost always love Matteos but after having to convince the hostess for OVER 5 mins that I need to see a paper menu instead of viewing it on my phone, I was already in a bad mood. I find it difficult to view menus from my phone. My husband and I have dined out frequently during this Covid time and never have I been more frustrated with a restaurant. We will be taking a break from Matteos for awhile.
Chicken lasagna was good.
Bottom was burnt but edible.
Chopped salad was good but skimpy in size.
Loved it. We’ll definitely be going back.
