Our family and friends love this restaurant. Great food really nice waiter I would of given over all a 5 star but the receptionist had a horrible attitude, in this scary time I came in to confirm and she acted like I was putting her out. She went to seat us I asked for a different table she just said no with no explanation. Again put out attitude. Others with me said the same without knowing what I thought. Great restaurant but that starts the experience off on the wrong foot.
Went twice in a week for fabulous dinners.
We loved it
it was just as expected... food was delicious ... service was outstanding we will be back!!
One of the best restaurants in the US. If you’re planning at trip to Aspen or Vail is a must
Tip top from front to back. Fish tasted delish. Mouth was pleaded.
What a treat! Every offering was amazing! Hope to go again.
Simply awesome and our server was great. She handled our “chef’s choice” with excellence and we loved the variety of samplings she recommended!! If we ever come back to aspen, we will for sure dine with you again!!
Annual Aspen dinner with good friends
The space feels completely ordinary and unspecial. The food was just ok, not great. We’ve been to the one in Vail several times and it’s a tale of two restaurants; Vail is phenomenal
We loved it. Great ambiance and delicious food. Great!
Outstanding service and food.
Black cod to die for!
Wonderful food! The vibe is great but the food is outstanding! Highly recommend!
Muy buen lugar.
Decoracion nada en espexia
Comida muy buena
Mehai/Mihai is always excellent, Chef Tanaka=simply outstanding, the host/hostesses are friendly & accommodating even amongst impatient and demanding guests, Jimmy at the bar will make the perfect Lychee martini, and Sydney who will check your hat, coat, or precious fur has impeccable attention to detail. Best place in town. Can be a bit of a "scene" but it's Aspen! Quality is consistently 100%.
Was crazy busy. Had to wait a half hour to be seated. However they brought us some free food to compensate
Great food and service. Fun vibe. Allowed us to share the omakase menu that was more than enough food for the two of us. Other similar restaurants have not allowed that.
Our dinner at Matsuhisa was both delicious and fun. We took our waiters advice when they were out of the uni tempura and tried the phyllo tempura and it was beyond spectacular. Certainly not something we would be able to get at other asian restaurants. The fun came in the dessert - the shaved ice. Highly recommend!
The most perfectly prepared fish! Delicious! I would go again in a heartbeat!
Amazing! Really good service
Amazing food and amazing service. Went w a large party and had some more join. They were extremely accommodating. Great food recommendations throughout dinner.
I would go back again and again.
Birthday dinner with friends and family
As always, whether in Denver, Cherry Creek or Aspen, Matsuhisa delivers. Terrific first time experience at the Aspen location this Xmas season. Highly recommend Matsuhisa. Everything was perfect and the waiter new his stuff.
Incredible food. Very similar menu to a Nobu but with some enhanced options. Fully stocked bar with some rare options for Japanese Whiskey and PVW Bourbon fans.
We love Matsuhisa. The food and service is always outstanding. I do think the space is starting to look a little dated, but overall still great ambiance. We’ll keep coming back!
Nobu simply is the best!
Always great food and cocktails! Service was great too. The ambiance is only okay, but everything else makes up for that. Definitely recommend when you are in Aspen.
We had an excellent meal. HIghly recommend the Omakase menu - you’ll have the best the chefs have to offer. Worth the splurge.
Simply the best
We had a reservation and unfortunately they were running behind so they sent us to the bar. We had a nice glass of champagne but the table was not ready for 30 minutes. When we were seated, there were 2 full glasses of champagne on the table waiting for us as an apology for the delay-a classy move on the part of the restaurant! Having eaten at Nobu and Matsuhisa Cherry Creek, our expectations for the food and service were high-and fully met! Everything was fresh and portions generous. The ambiance is a bit loud but the food makes up for that! Highly recommend (if you can get a Rez!).
They had a Sommelier on the venue which helped a lot. Great food and great service.
Food is fabulous. On this visit we felt rushed. Waiter seemed too busy. We had to grab him to order more just to get a comment " last call to order" Felt this was rude. Felt rushed to get finished and get out.
Kinda killed the evening.
An absolute must if you are visiting this area. The service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. The quality and freshness of the fish is outstanding!
Such an amazing experience! Get the yellowtail with jalapeño and the snapper with dry miso. Could have ordered two of those! Honestly for the quality of food (one of the best meals I’ve ever had) and the wine (we had the Matsuhisa red blend) it was such a great price. I thought our bill would be double. Definitely one of the best meals you’ll have in Aspen!
My favorite restaurant in America!
The food was as bad as sushi from a grocery store. We go to Matsuhisa in LA a lot and that one is amazing. This Matsuhisa is not the same.
It was our first visit and the waiter helped us thru the menu. It was really, really good! The spinach shrimp and Parmesan salad was excellent. As was the black cod, Alaskan king crab ( grilled) and lobster/crab tacos. Finished it off with mochi cake with blackberry lavender ice cream.
Best sushi as always
Outstanding! The very best Japanese food anywhere.
Great experience as always
