The best Apple strudel I have ever tasted. Beef Wellington remarkably perfectly cooked to medium rare. Very compelling wine list and of course their martinis to start. Wait staff very, very knowledgeable but not overwhelming. There is no reason to eat anywhere else in Key West if you want the finest dining experience.
We sat outside. Warm night. Our server was wonderful. He had a great personality, very witty. New all about the menu. Don't recall his name. Food was soooooooo delicious. It is pricey. But what fine dining restaurant isn't. Even a night at Irish Kevin's was high for burgers & fries w/beer. So, don't hesitate to go to Martins. Even 915 next door is 5 star.
Dinner at Martin’s in Key West was outstanding! The staff were very sweet, the food out of this world. I had the Beef Wellington. It melted in my mouth!
Walking it the place looked great! Service at the bar was good and we were seated quickly. Then there was the service! Our server was terrible!!!!! Absolutely horrible!!!! Came to the table and said “Oh I see you already have drinks, what do you want to eat?” We asked for a few minutes because we have never been. He seemed bothered by that. Slightly put off by service, we decided to stay because it was our anniversary and we had really looked forward to a nice dinner. We the waiter comes back out he goes to a table of 8 ladies that had just been seated, no problem. But then we watched the way he interacted with them, telling them about the restaurant, going over the menu, asking if they had any questions, giving drink requests. Then comes back to us with a rude “Are you ready now?” At this point we should have just walked out but again we were celebrating our anniversary and had really looked forward to a nice dinner. We ordered, he brought our food, returning to ask how things were. But continuing to return to and serve the ladies table. It it wasn’t for my husband I wouldn’t have even left him a tip. He wasn’t even worth the amount he was being paid as an employee. Having working in the service industry for just shy of 20 years, relying on tips as income I would have not thought twice about a $0.00 tip. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! WOULDN’T RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!
Food was good but not as memorable as Prime Steakhouse.
good service and food and outside seats are favorable for dining.
The two entrees we tried were okay. Neither of us opted for the signature dish: beef Wellington
Food was great and so was service. Delicious tapas and drinks.
Ordered a steak. It was beautiful to look at and cooked perfectly but had zero taste. The purée mashed potatoes didn’t seem authentic and were much to be desired. The pork appetizer was tough, but again presentation was great. I’m a local and I’m always looking for a great place to take family and friends when visiting me, but Martin’s will not be on that list. The waiter was not the friendliest either, practically tosses plates onto the table.
Brad was our waiter & he was very knowledgeable & excellent service.
The outdoor seating is both romantic and peaceful with plenty of distance between tables and privacy.
The tapas menu is exquisite both in flavor patterns and presentation.
The service is very attentive, personal, and professional.
We had the schitznel and it was excellent. We would highly recommend and plan to return soon
Waiter was great
Wonderful restaurant off Duval. Our waiter was prompt, professional and pleasant! My daughter loved the escargot starter. I equally loved my cheese plate with choice of two types of cheese, 3 sauces, grapes and incredible sliced baguette. We both chose the 2 pound lobster for our main course. I think it was around $75 each. Total bargain and as good if not better the way more expensive lobster I have ordered in my 30 years of travel elsewhere. Only thing we did not like was the side dishes we ordered since the lobster was a la carte. We chose mashed potatoes and a side of carrots. Neither were very good and the carrots were bland. The banana foster and chocolate mousse for dessert were excellent. If not for the side dishes we would have given it 5 stars. We will be back and fingers crossed they are serving their incredible lobster!!
Sean our server was wonderful! We loved the tapas. Shrimp & scallops, grilled veggies and cheese plate. Excellent wine selection. Must order the Apple Strudel! Delicious!
No record of our Open Table reservation for 6:30. We were seated far away from any heating and the temperature was low 50s - quite uncomfortable.
We had the schnitzel. It was great. Service and waiter were outstanding. Wife had a espresso martini for dessert and loved it.
Baked Brie, beef Wellington and the grouper dish was incredible. Our waiter Brad was awesome. Funny, responsive and awesome! Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Brad was stupendous and friendly!!
This place doesn’t disappoint! Great service, food, ambience, and atmosphere. Our server Brad was great and the food was top notch. We started of with the Tuna appetizer and a couple of glasses of wine and then ordered the Lamb Osso and Yellowtail with lemon-butter caper sauce for our entree.
Awesome wiener schnitzel - one of our favorite meals on the island!
Everything about our experience was excellent! Food and service was amazing!
Amazing food and service. It was our last dinner in Key West before heading home from vacation and it did not disappoint!! Tapas were great - baked Brie with crispy outside and warm inside; pork skewers; shrimp skewers and burrata. For mains - the beef Wellington, Weiner schnitzel; chicken stuffed with spinach and cheese, and vegetable fettuccini were all incredible. Highly recommend!!
They closed and didn’t notify me. Found out they were closed by a note on the front door. Hard to make new reservations at that point
The noise level isn’t sourced at Martin’s, it was coming from the neighbors.
Went to celebrate a 60th birthday, food was very good. The server was not very attentive. We waited awhile before out order was taken. The bartender got one of our drinks wrong 2 times. The food was very good, it made up for the waiters service.
The waiter seemed to be in a great rush all the time.
Worst service in Keywest. Got better service at Sloppy Joe’s bar. Save your $300 and go somewhere else. When asked to talk to manager was told they do not have one. I responded that makes sense after the service I received.
Wonderful food in a great ambience.
we always stop at Martin's when we are in Key West. Martinis are amazing, so are the Tapas (our favorites are Schnitzel strips, baked brie, seafood martini, lamb shops) - as an entree, all fish dishes are amazing, the Schnitzel are a must try!!!
We have been coming to Key West for years and have never been to Martin’s before. I wish we had found it earlier because it was the best meal we ever had in Key West! My husband had the Beef Wellington and I had Jager Schnitzel. They were both fantastic and my husband is very picky and he loved it. We also shared the Serrano ham appetizer and banana foster dessert which were both also fabulous!!! Next time we come back, this will be on the top of our list of places to eat!
Great Martinis. We ordered 3 small plates and they were delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting Key West
Lovely dining, hard to retrieve our server for more salad dressing, as he was hanging out at an all girls table. Otherwise nice. It was my husbands bday, but they offered nothing special.
The lobster bisque was extremely salty and difficult to eat. The food was ok, nothing I was outstanding. My drink was lukewarm and not cold. We had high hopes as our hotel staff recommended, but definitely would not return or recommend. There are better restaurants for a comparable price.
Food and service was excellent- - definitely a ‘keeper’ for an exceptional dinner dining experience
Great food and service!
Best food in Key West
All of the tapas that we ordered were fantastic from the shrimp, seaweed salad to filet mignon. We had to return the next day for happy hour. Martinis were excellent
Went here for our anniversary with the impression it was a fancier place. I feel like this place has an identity problem, wasn't sure what they specialized in. We tried the German food and it was subpar for the price. The dining room was way to noisy for a date night, it took 20 minutes just to get water. I will say that our waiter was very friendly but it just seemed like he was to busy for the tables he had. All in all, we just need to redo our anniversary dinner somewhere else. disappointed, I was hoping it was going to be great date night place.
