My family and I were here for brunch, with a reservation made 2 weeks in advance . I was really exited in taking my husband here for the first time. I made the reservation for a table outside but when we got there it was really busy . We got there 15 min. before the reservation time but the 15 min went by being in line . Once we got to be attended the MANAGER told us it would be a wait so we went to the side and sat for 20 min. While we were waiting to be seated we just saw groups of people being seated right away. Some of them didn’t even have a reservation but were being seated right away. I forgot to mention we are Mexican. And the mangager wasn’t really nice to us how he was to the rest of the people. The food and the waitress (who ended up helping us ) were great. I was really upset of the way the MANAGER had treated us. I would definitely recommend brunch on Sundays Every thing is very delicious!

We went for brunch. Please go for brunch. It is worth the price tag. The food is excellent and fresh. I usually hate buffets and never go because the food tastes like it has been sitting for a while. Not here. Staff are awesome and you cant beat the view. Will return!

This was meant to be a great evening with friends. we had traveled all day and chose to go warm and comfy instead of dressed up. Not sure if it was our casualness or that we were Hispanic that got us terrible service. I watched security stand in front of the kitchen facing our table while they were trying to remove a large Hispanic group. Was it a payment issue i have no idea but we were uncomfortable and when our meal took over an hour to be served and we had to ask for assistance half a dozen times for water and refills we should have walked out like the couple we watched walk out after not getting service either

The food was all delicious. We got the beet salad, coco prawns, prawns with salsa avocado verde, cilantro rice. We also got the tempura cauliflower but that actually was not very good. It was a bit heavy with batter. But everything else was delicious. My husband and I had a weekend away from our kids and our dinner was a wonderful compliment to our weekend. The service was attentive and friendly.

During a stay at the Cliffs Resort we enjoyed two meals at the lovely Marisol. The first day we reserved a window table to enjoy the sunset. The food and service was excellent. The second day we decided upon a casual bite at the bar. The weather was ideal so an outdoor table was perfect. Again, the food and beverage was excellent. It was a perfect spot for relaxing with a glass of wine, good food, and a beautiful view. The bar staff was delightful. Thank you Amora for making our visit special!

We have come to Marisol many times and I threw my husband his 60th bday party and they made us up a room on the side of the restaurant because there were like 30 of us. We all had a great time and David Kline was then and still is amazing. We love him and see him whenever we go there and he is so friendly and fun! We love coming to Marisol and enjoy ourselves every time. We love the food and Sunday brunch is our favorite! Thanks for everything!!!

We eat here several times a year. Food is always good - prices a bit higher than average locally but a nice view and good service.

However this time we all remarked on the food - it was easily in the top five meals I've had this year in perhaps 70 or more times eating out - and perhaps 2nd best locations (the other was out of California).

Our neighbors, though middle age - all apparently had hearing problems as they tried to outshout each other. Nearly spoiled our meal - this location has very open seating and enough separation for a quiet chat is unavailable.

The restaurant is very attractive, and the food was quite good. The Tuna Taco appetizer was particularly good. Also, the salmon was excellent. There was a special January Restaurant Month ~ 3 courses for $30. This is a great deal, and we would go again!

1/13/18 - our server was terrific. Answered all our questions and was knowledgeable about each menu item. When I said a fish entree sounded good but that the side did not appeal to me, he offered that I could switch the side to one I preferred more.

Four people were in our party and each was totally pleased with every course ordered. An exceedingly good value for the money.

Atmosphere was warm and inviting. We’ll definitely be back. Marisol already is one of our favorite lunch places in San Luis Obispo. Fabulous views of the coast line and delicious food.

Our waiter, Charlie, was awesome. Loved the Lobster mac and cheese on the brunch. Would recommend more comfy table and chairs in the bar. The high bar stools are not comfy for dining. We are returning for my bday. Feel free to send an offer to my email. Thanks!!!
