I took my granddaughter to lunch and the two of us had a lovely time. Our food was delicious and the server was friendly and efficient. We especially enjoyed the NM tradition of popovers and strawberry butter. The entire store was beautiful with the large silver wreaths and other holiday decorations . We decided that we should do lunch at NM again.

We had a beautiful Holiday lunch, my client and I but I wish we had chosen a later time as it was SO crowded and the noise level was very high! The food was very good and this time more flavorful . Alex , our server was excellent ! We will definitely be back.

Being the holidays they were very busy we waited about 20 minutes past our reservation to be sat. They did offer a nice holiday punch while we waited. And there are worse places to wait for a table then the gift section of Neiman Marcus, great for window shopping for the holidays (things you want but can't afford !)

I have been going to Mariposa since my kids were babies. love it! however, this time, I was disappointed in the Lobster Cobb salad. it's as if they cut it in 1/2. my hope is, it's because it's the holidays and they didn't expect such a big crowd and were running out of both lettuce and lobster! otherwise, it always feels like home to me.

Mariposa has been for years the "go to" place for lunch. The food is always consistently excellent, service great and pleasant atmosphere. nHighly recommend.

Our reservation was at 11am, got right in, not too busy at all for Black Friday. I thoroughly enjoyed my
experience here because it was decorated beautifully for Christmas; the hot popover and strawberry butter were divine and the beef consomme was a nice treat. We had the scallop and halibut entrees both were perfectly cooked and the fried calamari was tasty but a little greasy however the sauce was great. I had their spice ice tea and would order it again. It was all about the details that makes a wonderful experience. Our server Graham was very personable and did a great job! Can't wait to go again but pricey.

Birthday for a friend

the food is always excellent . The special starter of consume and popovers is reason enough to come here.
The atmosphere is light open and friendly. Great place to meet with friends and enjoy conversation with a moderate noise level. I can accommodate 2 or 20 easily. Always a choice for a special occasion or just to enjoy one of your favorites on the menu during a shopping break.

The cuisine was excellent as was service.

When I made the reservation I told them it was my adult daughter’s birthday. They gave no recognition of that special day. We waited a bit and I finally asked a bus boy if we could have some water. And I was truly disappointed in the food. I most often order the orange soufflé chicken salad as I did this time and I barely had enough dressing to make it moist. The orange jello was not very good. And the little muffin was dry and unimaginable. And the cost for this mediocre lunch was $25! I don’t think I will be returning to this restaurant any time soon.

We were served promptly and the birthday was recognized with a delicious dessert. The window table had a good view and the soup was soooo good. Very good food and ambiance.

My friend and I love dining here. The food is always interesting and delicious. We think of it as our special occasion place. Reminds us of being young and we went with our moms to Bullocks Wiltshire downtown LA.

The food and service are good. The popovers are great. The prices are high for the quality of the food.

Unfortunately they didn’t have popovers due to chef not there. The restaurant offered nothing as a compensation for this. There should be more than one person who knows how to make popovers!!!

The service was a little slow and also waiting for the check, but it was also a Saturday afternoon so I imagined it would be busy. The food was exceptional though I had wished I had known they would put powdered sugar on the cookies beforehand as it ruins it for me. But they were freshly baked and delicious! I look forward to coming back for tea and the overall experience was very decadent.

So I have been lunching at Mariposa and before that, The Tea Room at NM for many many years. Lunch yesterday started bumpy. It was packed which is fine, but we got seated and finally after 20 min flagged someone down for water! Apparently we were seated at a table that no server was assigned to, we watched servers walk by us for 20 min! And no one stopped as our table! Not
Good! However, once we did flag someone down, Steve, was apologizing, and extremely attentive once he was helping us, it was finally, a lovely lunch and the manager did come and apologize. Will continue going to Mariposa as it is a lovely place.

We waited 45 minutes to get our food. Other tables that arrived after us were served at heat 15 minutes before us. Our waiter didn’t seem to be concerned at all. No checking the kitchen to see what happened!!!!

I love our visits to this restaurant. The food is always excellent, the staff is professional, courteous and very helpful. The ambiance is perfect. I usually try to be seated inky the front entry or the back exit, which I find to be the quietest areas in the restaurant, making conversation more conducive.
