The server was attentive. The trout was cooked to perfection. The hummus was superb. Most enjoyable dinner.👍

Love this place. Service and food always exceptional. We sat close to the door so was cold every time it was opened.

Although we showed up to this Restaurant more than 20 minutes early for our reservation, we had a granddaughter with us. We asked the young hostess to change our reservation to 3 instead of 2 people. The restaurant was very busy but I could see from the reservation list she was waving at me that there were at least 4 tables for 2 people on her list. She said they were too busy and there was no space. I asked if we could perhaps switch with one of the 4 tables for 2 on her list and she insisted no. Another young hostess approached and stated that the restaurant could see what they could do but the first hostess insisted that there was nothing that could be done. The second young lady rolled her eyes at us and turned around and walked away. We found the extremely non-helpful attitude displayed was very disrespectful and so we had to cancel our reservation and walk away. We managed to eat at another Italian restaurant several blocks away who were also serving a Dine Out Menu and had no problem accommodating the 3 of us. We will not be returning to this restaurant and will be mentioning our negative experience to all of our friends and family.

This was my first time eating here and I must say the food was amazing!! Kudos to the chefs! Our server (Estephania?) was exceptional, very attentive and always smiling- truly a wonderful vibe. Would highly recommend this place to anyone :)

We were a large group and it was a fabulous night. Lori (the server) was a star! No hesitation in recommending Maria's!

Always a great experience - good food, comfortable setting, nice staff and owner - it really feels like a relaxing Greek taverna!

Good go-to casual neighborhood Greek restaurant with attentive staff and service. Good food quality generally better than the competition down the street - which by the way also has equally attentive staff and service. So Maria’s slightly wins on food and selection.

Enjoyed our evening there. Food and service good. Can be a bit noisy at times but all part of the charm. We would come again.

We took family from Toronto there for a genuine Greek town experience and we all enjoyed the restaurant very much. We appreciated their fresh and delicious (souvlaki, roasted lamb, great hummus and pita) Happy to recommend to anyone wanting a home-cooked Mediterranean meal.

We’ve lived Maria’s for years but don’t get there as often as we’d like because we live in New Westminster. It didn’t disappoint. The Paithakia were tender and moist. The calamari were excellent. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Amazing lamb... will always come back for my Greek Fix!!!

The food was fabulous and the ambiance very nice. The problem we had was with the service. Our waitress was very sporadic to begin with regarding drinks and water etc. after about 15 minutes she came to the table and asked about beverages. We had to ask several times for refills etc. and it was never from out waitress. She took our orders And that was the last we saw of her. There were only 5 of us and we got our meals after quite a while by another server. The same with drinks etc. it was all from different servers. My nephew left a tip because all of the others seemed to cover for our waitress once we asked for absolutely everything. I sure hope she did not keep that tip. She was terrible.

Been here a number of times and it a fantastic experience. Usually have the lamb chops but decided to try something new so went for the trout. Glad I did because it was really good. Bruno our server is excellent and treats us as he would want to be served when he went out. Did not see Amir on this trip but look forward to kibbitsing with him next time.

Our dinner at Maria's Taverna was very enjoyable. The service and food was very good and reasonably priced. The restaurant is in a good central location and parking was not a problem. The ambiance was vibrant however it was easy to hold a normal conversation. We will be back.

A wonderful place to enjoy Greek Cuisine. The Calamari was outstanding and very tender. The service was pleasant and attentive. Excellent value. Enjoy.

If you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy date night, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a great meal, friendly service, and an energetic atmosphere, definitely go here.

In the last month and a half I have hosted 4 separate dinners for a variety of guests and celebrations. Obviously, the good food and pleasant service brings us back.

Always great food, comfortable environment, nice staff. We’ll keep coming back!

Have brought three parties to Maria's this month, two of them out-of-towners. We enjoyed the whole experience. Came at 4pm on Sunday so had the place to ourselves--I'm sure it's different as the evening wears on, but we enjoyed the whole experience.
It is, and remains, my local go-to place if I make the choice.

Love this place, food and service perfect. As a frequent visitor to Greece I like to go to Maria’s to to get a Greek food fix.

We recently ate an early dinner at Maria’s Taverna. It wasn’t busy so it was quite quiet, service was prompt and very friendly, the portions generous and tasty. Prices were reasonable. If you want good Greek food in a typical family style restaurant, Maria’s is a good place to go.

Maria’s never disappoints! Always order the lamb shoulder or lamb chops. Succulent. Brano served us...he’s just awesome as usual. Look forward to our next dinner there soon!

We really enjoyed our meal at Maria's. The food was very well made, and the portions were a good size. We were happy that the dishes were not too salty. The desserts were extra tasty.
