Daughter visiting from another state. We have been at Marche twice this week. It’s been several months from previous visits.
The food is always superb and we love the lake! The service is pretty slow. The servers seem overwhelmed. But they have great personalities and they are very pleasant that helps the time pass. I would suggest that maybe hiring more would help? The restaurant is very busy and I know they want people to return. We want to support this business.
My spouse and I love Marche Bacchus! My spouse had the Escargot and the Magret Duck Breast and I had the Caesar Salad and Eggplant Terrine. All in all, a marvelous meal with a beautiful sunset atmosphere on the patio. Service was excellent and food fantastic as usual.
The ambiance is the cherry on top of this amazing experience!! Wait staff is outstanding! Food choices remarkable! If you haven’t been here, you must take the time to try it!
Horrible Experience! This was one of my favorite restaurant's. Yesterday we went there and there was a big party dining there at 11:30 am They were drunk, loud,
and completely obnoxious. Everyone in the restaurant was unhappy and annoyed. I went to complain and I was told "there is nothing they can do about it and they (the loud obnoxious party) are having a good time". He shrugged his shoulders and could careless that we left unhappy. We ended up going to another restaurant that cares about their customers. I have since found out that the restaurant and the quality of food has gone down drastically this past year. Needless to say, I will never be back, there are way too many good restaurants in Las Vegas to put up with poor management and a lack of customer service.
1st visit for us. We were lured there with the menu items (upscale)and price and location being on a small lake. We opted to eat indoors. We were 1st in the dining room so we were given the choice of seats. We picked the table that had the best view of the lake we thought. Once we sat down we realized that on the other side of the glass they stacked their extra chairs so it made it hard to see and then later they started stacking dirty dishes in the spot we could see the lake. So yes we has dirty dishes right next to us with a glass window separating us. 🥴
It took for ever to have our food brought to us and then it was cold for most of it. So I quess our server was to blame .Half the food needed seasoning. However the Escargot Appetizer and the Scallops topped with Caviar gave me goose bumbs it was so delicious! . So we had good and bad. We are mixed whether we will return.
Waiter was great, kitchen was too slow. 3 hour lunch when two would have been fine!
Amazing dinner! We have been coming for years and the service was still GREAT! Someone helped me pick my wine. The hostess let us pick our table. The server was extremely attentive. We had the scallop risotto which was OFF the CHARTS good, the mussels were to die for, I'm still dreaming of dipping the bread in that broth and the lamb chops. We loved the wine so much (Sanford Pinot Noir) that we bought another bottle walking out. We absolutely will be back!
Best food, atmosphere and service!
Exceptional quality of food, stellar presentation and all around amazing dining experience. Worth every penny.
Always enjoy my luncheons here, it is so beautiful on the lake. The service was great and our food was delicious. Great place for a special celebration.
It was an anniversary dinner. The restaurant was informed of that prior while making our reservation thru open table. We arrive a little early 10 min; and were seated at a table for two next to the door to open air dining in back. It was an extremely windy evening so the table was not comfortable. Rather than make a fuss I just sat there. There were other tables that would have been more comfortable but ... We ordered a glass of wine, the cheese plate, Cesar salad, the Duck, Lobster pasta and asparagus. throughout the meal the wait staff went in and out of the door letting gusts of wind (blowing up to 50 mph) into the restaurant. The food was good except for the lobster pasta - the cheese that was used was way too strong for the lobster and overpowered everything in the dish. It should have been called cheesy pasta! Even when I found a piece of lobster in a bite; the cheese overpowered the lobster's flavor. Portions were good; wait staff pleasant, but very busy. Nice place but for the money and it being a French I expected much better balance in the preparation of the food.
Excellent food but either short staffed or poorly trained staff, unsure. Asked us for our food order before we even received cocktail/wine list. Also waited more than 20 mins for our 5pm table, despite having a reservation. Took an awkwardly long time between courses. Seemed they were always behind and confused themselves as to why our food was not out yet at each course. Asked for more bread with our escargot appetizer 3 times before it arrived.
Food was excellent and many of our friends have gone with the opposite experience so will try again.
Haven’t been in several years but was really looking forward to our dinner. We were seated promptly but noticed the restaurant has really not been maintained. The menus we were handed were wrinkled and stained. The windows are dirty, the patio cover is very dirty and tattered, the ceiling fans are very dusty. The high class ambiance marche Bacchus used to have seems to have vanished. Our server was pleasant but was stretched thin also handling a wedding reception. I ordered a dish she forgot but based on my families food quality I didn’t remind her. The food was disappointing which has never been the case over many many years of going. I really hope they find a way to bring it back to the standards they used to have and really train their kitchen staff.
The goat cheese napoleon was out of this world. So delicious! The lobster salad actually ended up giving me intestinal issues. Not sure why, it did taste good going down. But I had an almost immediate stomach ache after and couldn't eat anything else the rest of the day. My date asked for a refill on his soda and the server came out and handed him a can. It wasn't poured for us. I just thought it was odd and not sure if it's a "covid" thing. Other than that, service was prompt, the atmosphere is very nice. I would definitely recommend and would return to try other menu items!
I had a reservation at noon. I waited at the front until 12:10 no one came to seat us. The owner actually said someone would be with me shortly. Another party of three came in. They waited patiently for 5 minutes. Again no one to seat us. The gentleman from the other party went outside to let them know that we were waiting. He was told that the hostess was doing inventory and would be there soon. Finally someone came and seated us…12:18pm. I was very disappointed as this in my opinion is very unprofessional. I love the atmosphere and have been going there for years. I may try the place next door next time. I had also put in a prior request for upper outdoor seating with a view. They tried putting us in front of the fireplace that is in front of a solid wall. My request was not even acknowledged. When I asked the hostess if they had even read my request, she just brushed off my comment. I told her next time I would call since they didn’t read my request. She just walked away!
Great location and wine selection. Service is slow, food is ok. Great place for brunch not dinner!
Napoleon goat cheese appetizer was very good!
We’ve been here many times before. But this last experience was the worst we have ever encountered. We got one glass of water and waiter never refilled or asked. When you are drinking nothing but water it’s inexcusable. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of wine. The food was undercooked, wrong dishes, tough and cold. Service….well, there was none. Waiters we’re running…literally running from table to table. We overheard complaints from tables next to ours also. People waiting and waiting for drinks, food, attention….like we said it was a horrible experience.
The new girl at the front desk was fabulous, kind and efficient, a keeper! Bartender wouldn’t let me sit if I was ordering to go food, thought that was slightly odd. And honestly I’ve been coming here for 10+ years and the food has simply gone down hill. The escargot that was the best in town, was flavorless and minute in size. The ceaser salad had heavy amounts of dressing and also flavorless. Super disappointed and was so excited to go!
Service was great love this restaurant
Cousin in town for the day, she loved her banana foster pancakes.
Its a nice place
Service was horrible! Had a reservation but still had to wait 20 mins, then once seated took another 10 mins to be acknowledged, ordered cocktails another 15 mins. There was 3 of us my lemon chicken was very dry sent back, friend had chicken and waffle, needed more syrup she asked new received the syrup, other dish was seafood Cobb salad requested extra dressing not received. After waiting to long for my fresh lemon chicken decided to cut out lunch and leave. I would not recommend dining here again. One good note the location is good.
Going away breakfast
We are a regular at Marche Bacchus. The ambiance and food are always solid. But lately we’ve had more and more friends veto the restaurant because of how slow the service is. Last night was the worst experience yet. Slow to be approached. Slow on delivering water and bread and even slower on refills. Slow to take our order then 45 minutes just to get our salads/soups. Really bad. 3 hours total to get through a dinner without desert. Love this place as a venue but falling down our list because of these issues.
The ambience is lovely, the food is pretty but they are understaffed and the service sucks. We actually felt bad for the waiter because he was doing three jobs
The Scottish Salmon was fabulous, lobster bisque good, but should have been hotter. Took fifteen minutes to get the server's attention after being seated. Seems like they were a little understaffed both on servers and in the kitchen. Been there before with better and faster service. Like being near the lake and the staff were friendly. Good wine selection with very reasonable markups.
Have not been here in over two years, so looking forward to this dinner. The wine shop is awesome. Amazing selection where you pick your own bottle. However, now that the dining area is enclosed in steel and glass, the ambiance of dining by the lake is gone. The food has also lost its mojo. But is much pricier. Lamb was tough and food was generally only warm when served. Alas, our last time here....
Service was awful. No one would take our order or provide us our bill. We were literally the only table occupied in our section and were ignored the entire evening
The view is the reason I wanted to check this place out. It was gorgeous on the patio, and my boyfriend loved it also. The wine selection was impressive. The food was good, not the best I’ve ever had but still looking forward to coming back soon.
Enjoyed a 50th birthday celebration here, and loved it.
I was so excited to try this restaurant as it’s a neighborhood favorite by many! Beautiful environment and great good. Unfortunately service wasn’t the best. We ordered salad to share and our entrees came first. Entrees came very fast. Then waitress brought our salads but we declined Bc they were meant as an app. She just took them back to the kitchen. Shocked she didn’t say I’ll just leave them Bc they were gonna throw it out anyway. They added hollandaise sauce to my friends egg Benedict when she asked for the sauce on the side. We didn’t send back. Also the outdoor standing fans are great for circulation Bc it gets hot on patio but they are very dusty and dirty. They should be cleaned as apart of daily restaurant cleaning. Not appealing to look at and dust could be blowing all over food and diners.
Have been there many times but obviously something has changed whether ownership or management
Arrived on time and was told it would be a few minutes for seating, went to bar and had a drink with my wife
Barley got a shot of Bourbon in drink
Another party came in and wanted to be seated as hostess was getting ready to seat us and walked with hostess to table that was meant for us. Hostess did a nice job of making sure we (who had been waiting) got the table.
Took 15 minutes to get acknowledged by any wait staff and when he did come over seemed unwelcoming. Brought some bread and disappeared for another 10 minutes
Came and took order and took about 20 more minutes to receive escargot which were terrible (one of the dishes we typically love) and Caesar salad which literally had no dressing. Waiter came over and told him both dishes were awful so he did respond and had them remade
In the time we waited our entrees arrived (had to send them back) as we were waiting for appetizers
Took entrees back and got the appetizers which were better but still not what we were used to
Entrees arrived before we could even finish
Many empty tables (unheard of at this restaurant) which is usually very busy. Tables that left were not cleaned with dirty dishes all over ruining the nice ambiance of this restaurant
Barely ate our entrees had them wrapped to go and got the check and didn’t consider dessert
2 1/2 hours for just an awful experience
Typically give places a second chance but so much was wrong on many different levels it is obvious to me that something Iliad changed (for the worse) and for a place that is pretty pricey (which I knew going in) wouldn’t take the chance for another poor experience. Very unfortunate
It was our first time visit at Marche Bacchus. I made a reservation Sept 25 @5pm for my Dad’s 82nd birthday. We had an appetizer to begin with. But it was served with no silverwares and napkin. So, we requested for the silverwares and napkins, that was the FIRST.. unpleasant experience already. The next worst experience was refilling our drinks. We requested 3 times for our drinks to be refilled. 3rd time, I had to stand up and look for the server to request the 3rd to refill our drinks. The service is poor, the servers would not check on us . The first experience was really bad for us. We have not experiences to make request or ask servers of these important items that we need on our table as we eat. The good thing about it was just the water/lake view. But the service is the most important when you dine in at the restaurant to relax, enjoy a meal and to have a great time with the family and it was a failure, and this restaurant missed that part. As what is shown in the photo we finished our appetizer but our glasses need refills.
We had reservations at 7, and didn’t get seated till 7:35.
Waiters were slow, not attentive, not helpful.
Beautiful and overall wonderful experience for out of town guests or regulars.
Good experience celebrating my wife’s
We have eaten here on several occasions and enjoy this restaurant. We particularly like it because they have a very good wine store at the restaurant where you can pick your wine for dinner. The food has been consistently good as well as the service. The only complaint I have, and it is minor, is that the fans throughout the restaurant were demonstrably filthy. I don’t know how a manager could overlook that. I don’t think that we are that picky but for a restaurant of this quality, I would think that they would notice.
Amazing view of the lakes, food was excellent, Tyler the food runner was above and beyond and the gentleman manager with long hair ( I’m sorry I didn’t get the name ) was excellent as well thank you all for another great lunch!
Overall it was a good experience. Restaurant could deff use some cleaning. Floor was dirty and windows were dirty which took away from the view of the water.
My wife and I have eaten here several times and usually the food and service is very good. I think something has changed recently since this latest dining experience was awful. We had reservations for 7 and we arrived on time nobody at the Hostess podium and other staff walking around the restaurant and bar seem to intentionally avoid making eye contact or at least let us know somebody would be with us shortly. After several minutes Hostess finally showed up and seated us in a table in the corner with a nice view but no lighting. Couldn't even read the menu without our cell phones. We asked if they could bring us a candle along with napkins and silverware which weren't on the table. Finally came back with the napkins and sold where but forgot the candle. After several minutes waiter finally came back and apologized they didn't have any candles so I had to make my own with my cell phone and a piece of bread over the LED light so that we could at least see the table. After taking our order no appetizers just 1 course for each of us at the table we then waited over 45 minutes for the food to finally arrive. Two steaks with french fries they were good, one bowl of pasta with lobster with cream sauce the sauce tasted like it was out of a box very grainy. And two french onion soups which were disgusting. A small cup instead of a normal french onion soup bowl as I would expect. One hard piece of bread on top of the soup with a small sprinkling of cheese. After all this I asked to speak to the manager and was told oh the owner was just here but he left sorry nobody in management here now. The last time I will ever eat there. Fortunately here in Las Vegas there are so many choices available I can easily take my business elsewhere.
