   We were sat 30 minutes past our reservation time. Service was awkward and slow. The food was average. I’m so sad that this place was a let down because so many people have talked it up. Spent more money than it was worth.

   We were seated at a table for two overlooking the lake for dinner at 7. We were celebrating a birthday. The service was gracious and accommodating. The burgers and truffle fries were delicious. The basket of fresh sourdough bread and whipped butter was delightful as we pondered our menu choices. The beautiful lake view turned from twilight to night as we relaxed and celebrated.

   Superb wine selection. The escargot, lobster bisque, Filet Mignon and the Blackened Sea Bass Jambalaya were outstanding! Oliver, despite being very busy, was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and attentive.

   I am generally really forgiving with my rating but I really am disappointed with this experience given all the hype around it and the price point. I will start with the good first: the foie gras was excellent and done just right with beautiful presentation, and the ambience of the restaurant is quite nice being by the waterfront. However, that’s where the good ends. First it took 10 minutes for me to get seated, and then when I ordered, I had a question about a dish in which the server said he would check but he never got back to me on what the answer was. I had to flag him down to find out. After that, it took 30 minutes to get my first dish. It also seemed that the server was overwhelmed as I could hear him telling the hostess that he was behind. The other tables are getting their services and attention faster than me and I wonder if it was due to the fact that they had more than one person in their party, but that really shouldn’t be the reason for the level of service received. I was seriously contemplating getting the caviar sampler but the experience there deterred me from wanting to spend more money.

   I keep trying it through the years and want to like it SO much. They seated us RIGHT in the middle of a wedding party - which spilled into our dining experience. We had to ask to be moved. It took at least 40 minutes for our entree to arrive. My salmon was good but it was on a bed of mush - ? Maybe polenta or grits. Yuck. Wine was good, husbands fish dinner good. Service slooow. Didn’t feel very welcome. Probably our last visit. Sorry I chose this for my husband’s birthday celebration when there are so many other places.

    First time there it was very beautiful and romantic Service was excellent but I look on line before we went to see what to order because I’m very fussy.When we got there it wasn’t on the menu I asked if they could make something like that and they said no!So I ordered the onion soup it was very good but a little small for 14,00 dollars all in all great dinner and would try it again.

    Love the ambiance and the lovely outdoor view. The service from Marty was knowledgeable and friendly. The food was the disappointment. The soufflé was more of a hockey puck. My Loup de Mar would have been better without so much seasoning. My husband tried the Vegetarian Pasta and was not pleased. We love this restaurant and will hope that improvement is in the future.

    Ambience is always great! I came here last year for Mother’s Day and they had the open menu. This year it was a prefixed menu and the selections were not that great. I had the bbq steak and the meat was rare. Only one choice on the appetizer and it was a salad. The dessert option wasn’t that good either. For as a mother for Mothers Day i was the last to get my food and the last to be asked what I wanted. My husband asked to have his steak cooked a little more and the waiter forgot about it so by the time my husband got his food back the family was already done eating. I usually have great experience her but this time I would rate this a two on service and food option. The only thing I could rate a five on is the hostess and the ambience. This was a very disappointing dinner for Mother’s Day. I was very happy to have all my kids with me for dinner though. I would recommend this place but definitely not on a prefixed menu.

    Went for Mother’s Day! They had a preset menu of a few entrees. I had the crab& shrimp cake, delicious! The spinach salad with it was very good as well! Husband had the scallops over forbidden rice risotto, I had a little taste of his, very good too! Service was good, not super attentive but it’s Mother’s Day. 😉 We will probably start going there once a week again. We stopped for a while because the food was lacking a lot. Not sure if they changed chefs but tonight’s meal redeemed them!

    We have always loved Marche Bacchus and have been there many times with great experiences. Mothers Day 2023 was a disappointment. There was only 1 small endive appetizer, four entree choices(shrimp/crab cake, scallops,flat iron steak and a vegetarian pasta. There were 2 dessert choices(berry cobbler or butterscotch pudding). No complementary drinks like in the past when they used to have either champagne or mimosa. We had the crab/shrimp cake which was good but lacking in lemon aioli and the scallops with forbidden rice which was also good. The pudding was good but the berry cobbler was cold and not very tasty. All this cost us $75 /person plus wine plus gratuity so we walked out with a Mothers Day bill close to $450 for 4 people. Now I know why it was not crowded as usual.

    The wine was great. Ordered 100 point bottle of Cabernet. Can’t go wrong. The appetizers were great. We had the steak tare-tare and the goat cheese phylo. But when it came to the main course it was 100% a disappointment. We ordered the vegetarian linguine pasta, which was served cold. And it should’ve been hot. And the filet mignon and lamb chops. Both were ordered medium rare and both came out well done. We sent the filet mignon back and it came back even more well done. Completely inedible for someone who likes their steaks Medium rare. And the waiter had the audacity to say well that’s medium rare. If medium rare means gray inside, then they were spot on. It was like pulling teeth to have him take it off of the check. It was literally sent back without one bite. We frequently go to this place. But it will be a long time before we go back, if ever.

    Our first time here, I heard about this place from a friend. I booked our Mothers Day brunch there and I loved it! It’s adorable inside, beautiful view, great service (friendly) and great food that won’t break the bank. We plan to go back soon!

    Our eggs benedict with salmon tasted good, but the hollandaise sauce on it was cold. Our service was slower than usual because the patio was packed. I had forgotten there was a special event that day. The place was a-roar with lots of celebrants who had clearly indulged in lots of adult libations. It was still fun; and the view was still lovely!

    No better place to mentally "get away from it all" than at the lakeside upscale French restaurant . The wine service system is not only unique but its VERY FRENCY. You select your wine at the entrance, take it to your table ( your paying store prices plus a small corkage fee. This is a GREATLY reduced cost way to have a fine bottle of wine at a VERY reasonable price point. The food and service are top shelf by anyones standard. Special Note: If you love caviar this is the place. Their Caviar service is the best in the city...... everyone else is trying out for 2nd place. Theres is "old school" "full blown" Caviar service with all the trimmings. Do yourself a favor .......... even if you have never had Caviar..... try it...... you will not regret it.

    My French Onion Soup had no taste. I have better FOS at Applebee's. My order of Mussels ranged from cold to luke warm. My guest ordered a Filet cooked Medium Rare and it was served Medium Well to Well Done. We are done with Marche Bacchus ! There are dozens of great restaurants in Las Vegas where we can dine and then walk out raving about how great the meal was.

    Saturday Evening 4/29/23 We were not properly greeted upon arrival. No smile, no welcome, no nothing. Our party of three asked to be seated right on the water. We had done this before, but this time the view of the lake was blocked off by huge glass partitions that made you feel like you were in an aquarium. The lighting and ventilation was atrocious. The table setting were incomplete and messy. We were never introduced to our waiter, rather a person showed up who was dressed and looked like the dish washer. No intro, no smile, no class. It took over 10 minutes for him to even take a drink order. When asked about their win selection he knew nothing about it. (for the price of a glass of regular wine we should have been told some kind of story about it as well as the origins and history of wine making through out history" Appetizers were ok...especially the french onion soup. My guest orders were acceptable to them, except we kept having to ask for cutlery again. I decided on the Filet Mignon for $49.00 because I was sure no one could mess up a great cut of beef ordered medium rare. Wrong! The inside was medium rare. But, the outside was so charred it was hard to cut ( no steak knife provided) and even harder to chew. No need to go one, if you got this far you have the idea of what a total disappointment, what was to be a fun dinner turned out to be.

    Our waitress looks just like Audrey Hepburn she was attentive and a joy to work with. The views on the water were lovely The food was very good but the portions I had were quite small . I had two appetizers, foil gras,one very small piece, and a tiny cup of French onion soup and two glasses of wine and with the tip I spent over $90. For my lunch. I will return , but only for a special occasion as it is pricey.

    The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful and the food is okay. However, the service was much to be desired. The waiter never voluntarily attended to us, we have to wave him down for water, orders, dessert menu etc. No one came to clear the table in which we have to stack the dirty dishes on the side… The coffee was cold and was served without plate for everyone (we ordered two desserts to share for four people).     When we visit Vegas, we always go to Marche Bacchus at least once. One of our favorite restaurants in all of Las Vegas. Amazing food, amazing wine selection and a great whisky selection, with wonderful service. All at prices far better than anything on strip.

    Great food. We had snails, Caesar salad, lamb chops and jambalaya and all were excellent. The service was a little slow but that just gives you more time to look at the water, more of a feature than a bug. We expect to go back.
