This restaurant was excellent! The food was so flavorful and fresh, portion sizes were good. We were there for a business dinner, it was a little loud, but energetic. Would definitely go back!!
Everything was delish!
Good came out hot and quick. Friendly staff.
First time at Mango and did not leave disappointed. The waiter was extremely helpful in explaining each dish, and the food had flavors that were outstanding! Mango is now my favorite St. Louis restaurant.
We have previously dined at Mango Peruvian restaurant on 5 previous occasions and considered it innovative with plenty of "different and interesting" tastes. Our last visit was extremely disappointing. We had a table of 4 and all the food tasted bland without the previous interesting spice balances. This was very counter to our previous experiences. So disappointing that we probably will not return.
We had dinner at Mango for Mothers Day, and we all found the meal and the service delightful. The food is authentic and delicious. The lomo saltado and pescado a la
chorrillana were excellent. Lomo saltado is my husband's favorite dish from childhood, and his absolute favorite version is Mango's. I hope to return soon!
Great place with good food. Perfect portions! Server was good and took time to answer any questions we had!
This is my family’s favorite restaurant for special events! The food is unique and delicious.
This was the first time visiting a Peruvian restaurant. The food was very good and different. My entrée consisted of the shredded chicken with Yukon potatoes (cannot recall the name of the dish). The chicken was shredded and has some nice size chunks of chicken. The sauce was rich and flavorful, think of it as a chicken ala king on steroids, only better. The chicken dish had some black olives and shredded cheese on top and was accompanied with a nice sized bowl of steamed rice. This dished really worked, I could not finish it. For dessert I had the banana mousse which was topped with ice cream, berries and some interesting granola covering everything but the ice cream. It was a really interesting dessert, never had anything quite like it and would order again in a second. The coffee was strong and flavorful, really good. I will be back.
Everything was incredibly delicious. From the plantain chips and salsa, to the cerviche, to the entrees. The desserts menu looked tempting; but we were already full. Great food, really good service, and ambiance.
Fantastic meal and service! Great place to catch up with an old friend!
We enjoyed two meals here while in town for a conference: one dinner and one lunch. The soup, empanadas, saltados, and sandwiches were all quite good!
Good solid restaurant for dinner during the week. Food is based on Peruvian cuisine; pleasant, well prepared and nicely served. A good restaurant to go to on the spur of the moment with friends.
I always plan and arrange dinner gatherings for my husband and myself and a small group of close friends. We first tried Mango a few years ago on the recommendation of my daughter. Since then, I've brought my sister-in-law from San Francisco along with my mother-in-law and this is our second time choosing Mango to have our regular weekend outings with friends because one of our couples recently got back from a trip to Peru and were craving more Peruvian cuisine. I'm very happy to say that they were more than satisfied.
Overall impressed and will return.
We have been to Mango Peru for dinner several times, but this was our first time for lunch. The menu was different, but choices ranged from sandwiches and cold plates to salads, all creatively done with a Peruvian touch. Portions proved to be both tasty and generous, and our waitress Breanna was attentive to our needs throughout. Mango sorbet topped off a quiet and relaxing lunch that was just what we needed following an early morning drive to the city and a forenoon at the Symphony.
Amazing food. Even better service and ambiance, will definitely be coming back here every chance i get.
Food was great and service was great! We will definitely go back!
I enjoyed the food very much.
I was in town for just a few days and went to Mango Peruvian twice. It’s really that good...and I’m a foodie from Boston. My son had gone on a service trip to Peru last year and it was special for him to experience the culture and food again with an upscale chef twist. Before you raven order you’re treated to delicious crisp plantain chips w Peruvian salsa verde. I could have eaten it with a spoon! Try this restaurant...you won’t be disappointed.
Loved the food here
I’ve never had Peruvian food before, and I was very impressed! The food was very authentic and tasty, from the appetizers to the entrées. Would highly recommend for a night out, especially for foodies.
Very nice and enjoyable place to have a good meal. They do need to redo some of the cushions in their booths, the padding is worn out.
We went to this restaurant for our anniversary, and it was amazing! The atmosphere was awesome, the service was fast and so friendly. They even gave us complimentary champagne! And don’t get me started on the food, it was so flavorful and plentiful. We had the empanadas, we’re used to empanadas from Caribeños, and the ones from Mango gave those a run for their money. They were so good we ordered a second round. I had the Aji de Gallina, it was great. My wife had the chicken breast, so tender. Price is not too expensive, but not cheap either. You’re going to have a great time.
We sat at the bar for about 10-15 minutes without being asked what we wanted. When we first sat, a delicious little bowl of plantain chips were served, then water, then .......
Only 1 bartender, busy bar with lots of cocktail mixing.
Dinner was excellent!! The service at the table there was very good with Marta knowing her menu and explaining it with a bright smile.
Would def return!!
Apps were fantastic. Gave 4 stars because the entrees were lacking in flavor, very disappointing. If they have the beef empanada special, buy 3!!
Great food and great atmosphere! Server was super helpful and really provided us with good advice regarding the menu.
I’ve never had Peruvian cuisine before. It was quite tasty. The paired Wine had a spicy back taste which was perfect with the Savory Steak and Shrimp Dish. The best surprise was the dessert. It was a cacophony of flavors and textures. Well worth a return visit.
They took great care of us as we celebrated my daughters birthday! Loved the table decorations. Thank you!
Absolutely sumptuous food and great service for our grandchildren and the adults they were looking after.
Food was differently delicious. We have sampled the cuisines of other South American areas, and were glad to try Peruvian food. We particularly enjoyed the lomo saltado, though it was a bit carb-heavy to have both french fries and rice. (I know, though, that it is common in the region to serve both potatoes and rice at a meal.) The seco de carne stew was also good; it is meat and beans without vegetables. We also had the baterrega y olluco salad and that was great - unique flavors but delicious. The flan for dessert was authentic.
Service was good and helpful. They were happy to provide further information about the dishes. I found the TVs in the corners and at the bar to be distracting for quiet dinner conversation, but I guess different strokes for different folks; some are probably thrilled to be able to watch sports or other programming while eating.
Always a pleasure to dine here. A very enjoyable atmosphere with a great staff. They are very knowledgeable and proud of their menu. The wine list is a perfect size. Just the right amount of choices to not overwhelm diners. BRAVO!!
Mango is a beautiful restaurant. The choices of bar, booth and tables is helpful, and the large windows make the lunch and afternoon feel open and inviting.
The wait staff was very attentive, but the meals had different ingredients than the stated menu, or were not available (no raspberries for the coulis atop the mango sorbet - it was served without it, and without an explanation until asked).
While the food was well-prepared and nicely plated, the 4 of us all felt the protein (fish, beef and chicken) were unseasoned and bland. If not for the sauce in some cases, it would have been hard to eat.
Mango has delicious and authentic Peruvian cuisine in a comfortable setting, and the staff is all about providing an outstanding dining experience. We make a point of going every time we are in St. Louis.
Went there for a birthday, and they had printed out special menus, put confetti on the table, and even gave us a slice of cake. Great food, great ambiance, great service. We'll definitely be back.
I always have a great time at Mango. I recently had to do a restrictive diet due to some health problems and I haven’t been able to go out to eat. I know how accommodating Mango is and it was the best meal I’ve had in weeks!!! So thanks for always making the very best food!!
Mango provides fresh and delicious Peruvian cuisine. If you're struggling with what to order, the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I have been here multiple times and will definitely return.
We had never eaten at a Peruvian restaurant before and it was a wonderful experience. Our waitress explained the menu items in detail, the food was outstanding. The atmosphere was very nice.
Outstanding food and service!................... .
The only bad was our waiter was very slow and late to bring or meals and drinks.
But we left her a good tip.
