Mama Stortini's - Kent Station
Everything went like clockwork. The requested booth was ready when we arrived. Service was good and the lasagna is exceptional.
We went there just to go out to dinner. We ordered our drinks and appetizer immediately. We then ordered our food, to be placed after we received our app and drinks. Our drinks... 40 mins later no app ordered more drinks. Then I received the cutlery for our meal after 10mins, manager comes and is going to comp our app as dinner is ready. No thanks on the app, and he stated he’ll comp other things, fine. We get dinner, good. Another manager approached to make sure everything is ok. Then order more post dinner drinks..... 20 minutes later we are ready to leave, I inform the front desk we have not received our drinks and ready to leave. Our drinks arrive. The front desk gal comes back and states our bill is on the house. All the while we notice people served from start to finish just not us.... while our meal was comped we still tipped. It was none the less a disappointing experience.
A group of friends came in at 11am on a Saturday for brunch, but come to find out they are no longer serving (Kent Location) 2 weeks ago. We chose this restaurant specifically for brunch so we were disappointed. However, the lunch menu was still good and the service was very good as well. We’ll come back for happy hour!
Not many options for Vegans but the server did a great job accommodating.
The most recent experience was horrible. We have been there many times and it has been great but this last time was awful. Our food took over an hour, when the food did come 2 of the dishes were completely cold and one person didn't even get their food at all until we asked multiple times. They stated they were short staffed but it was not even that crowded. We were then told the manager would come talk to us but didn't so I had to ask and when she did she offered free dessert but that seemed like a crumb in comparison to what we went through. Not sure I will be going back after this.
The waiter forgot to bring an item I ordered. The quality of the food was not great. It was my first time visiting this place. I will probably be the last time I go to this restaurant.
Everyone loved their food. Very comfortable. Great waitress. Sydney. Sunday Eve. about 5pm so not noisy.
Great value, especially happy hour. Food is wonderful as is the service. It can get very busy and loud. Make a reservation if you can.
The staff and food are terrific and it's the perfect place for a meal before a Seattle Thunderbirds game.
My daughter was served the wrong dish and I had to stand to get a server to correct it. My salad had way too much dressing and never a refill on drinks.
It is a nice, comfortable environment with a polite and efficient staff. I made a reservation for 5 people at 630 on Christmas Eve and got seated about 10 minutes early even though they were fairly busy. The tables might be a little too close together for some people but otherwise it's a modest decor that gives a casual feel but still has class. The menu offers enough choices that I think anyone can find happiness and the prices are actually great for the serving portions. We had our food in about 15-20 minutes, respectful turn around I think! Great things happening at Kent Station, go check it out for yourself, it's a must!
We had reservations and were seated right away. Food was great - salmon for hubby and lemon pepper shrimp for me. Our waiter was friendly, but forgot to bring butter for hubby. Another waiter brought butter and new bread later in the meal. NOT a good place for heavy conversation on a busy night. Really noisy as usual. We will be back. It is our go- to place in Kent Station.
ENJOYED A CHRISTMAS EVE DINNER WITH GREAT FOOD AND A VERY PLEASANT WAITER NAMED CLARK. ALWAYS ORDER MY FAVORITE - CHICKEN MARSALA.
Food and service was great, but the noise was horrible. Unable to carry on a conversation with table mates.
Pasta was dry and hardly any cheese. Garlic cheese bread was cold. Had to ask what happened to our appetizer
Everything was done very well and we had a good dining experience. The only knock is we were seated right next to the kitchen entrance even though we had a reservation.
Great food, made a reservation a month out. The pushed us in a corner and gave the round table to a walk in group. Moved us and our waitress was not attentive. Had to ask numerous times for things. Great atmosphere, great food. Service not so great. Will go back for sure.
We were seated for 15 minutes with no acknowledgement, but after we sought out someone, they apologized profusely. They also gave us a complimentary appetizer. The rest of our evening there was delightful
Our "Go To" restaurant in Kent. LOVE this restaurant. Great Food. Great Service. Fantastic Happy Hour. I bet we come here at least 2 to 3 times a month. You never go away hungry or unsatisfied.
Went here before a Thunderbirds game. Busy but seated quickly, we were surprised by attentiveness of staff and quality of food for a busy Friday night. Only downside that we could tell was it was moderately noisy and had a hard time having conversations during dinner. Would definitely go again and recommend this Italian place to anyone that’s in the area!
Our book club met for our Christmas party dinner and the food and service were great. When I made the reservation I asked if we could be seated in the back or on a side wall as there were 8 of us and we didn’t want to be sitting out in the middle of the restaurant. Unfortunately when we arrived we were seated at a table in the middle of a very busy noisy restaurant. It made it difficult to converse with each other. This was disappointing as everything else was good.
Restaurant was very accommodating to our special requests of having a table “out of the way” because there was a new baby and two little kids. It was appreciated. Our waitress did a great job.
We had a reservation before a concert for 6:15 PM and we didn't get seated until after 7 PM. They shouldn't offer reservations on event days if they can't honor them. Food was good though, just very rushed.
Dining before a concert nearby. Chicken marsala was not the quality i remember but they were super busy that night.
Chop salad was excellent as usual. Crab cakes were so so- could have been warmer. Service was very good.
Very Good Food & Service ( TERRIBLE ACCOUSTICS) Can't Hear anything so Noisy
We love it here! We had 2 young kids at our table and it is loud enough, that they didn't bother anyone. Service is great. Will definitely be back!
Long time customer. If they ever messed up (like, it happens rarely) but when they do, they are quick to make it right. Their core recipes are italian but they have a great steak and a selection of burgers.
Wait for a booth. More comfortable. Reasonable prices. If you're with a vegetarian there are options too. They are also open for a change out of a side dish- doesn't seem to make them mad.
A sign of a good restaurant is one that's busy. Use open table on a Friday or Saturday night otherwise you'll wait 30+ minutes for a table. Want a table at the dinner at a specific hour on those days? Plan your evening mid day.
The only issue I had with the restaurant is that they made a Chicken Marsala with burnt sauce. I was in a hurry heading to a concert so I ate my wife's Chicken Marsala and gave her my Chicken Fettucine Alfredo. Literally EVERYTHING else was fantastic but I have to call it like I see it.
The server was phenomenal. We needed in and out quickly and she accomodated our every need in that regard. The manager came by with a proper Marsala sauce and even offered to remake our dinners. What he should have done was give us a gift card or have taken the Marsala off the bill. In the restaurants defense I mentioned to the server that she didn't have to take it off the bill. Primarily because I ate it. That was not due to me liking it though lol. It was because otherwise I wouldn't have eaten anything. My wife said the properly cooked sauce tasted phenomenal.
This is a great place to eat. I have had two issues in 10 years eating there in both Puyallup and more recently Kent. I would recommend it but I would say a gift card is an easy thing to do. The fact I was gracious about eating a sub par meal doesn't mean the restaurant shouldn't have tried to do something. They offered to recook the meal. We had eaten. They offered it to go. We were going to a concert. The response needs to fit the moment. I hope this is a fair assessment of a place I would go to again that provides some constructive feedback as well.
Food was delicious, I had seafood fettuccine. I was a little disappointed that they stopped making the deep fried Oreos for dessert but the apple cobbler with snicker doodle crust wasn’t a disappointment.
Everything was great except they didn’t have my wine choice, twice. I ended up drinking something else.
Great place to go before Thunderbirds game. Takes reservations which is nice.
Nice dinner. The one comment was I had added this was for a birthday but no mention of it from our server.
The service started slow, no napkins or silverware even when we got our apps asked for napkins we didn't get enough!
Had a $50 gift card for Mama Stortini's. Made reservations. Apparently their computer went down. We got done with dinner (after waiting quite awhile because they were waiting for computer to come up), and were told we couldn't use the gift card, because the computer was down. We were in a hurry, because we had already waited quite awhile, because we had another engagement. So I wound up paying cash, which was very inconvenient, since we had the gift card.
One other comment, my favorite dish there in the past was Chicken Adriatica. It is no longer on the menu.
Food was excellent and Stephanie was great and very nice.
My husband ordered a reuben sandwich for dinner. The fries were cold and the pastrami on the sandwich was very fatty. Mama's does a few things on the menu very well, but most things are mediocre. Our friends chose the restaurant so I didn't have much say in the choice of restaurants, but it will be a very long time before we return. To me Mama's is a great place to have a drink before/after a movie - that's about it.
Great for Business Meals, where you can actually hear folks from across the table, and I also like it for family dining because it's kid friendly. Been dining here since 2013.
Always a good meal. Sunday’s have a reduced price menu and specials.
Tasty food and drinks that don't break the bank, and are great for any occasion. The lively atmosphere makes you feel like it's the place to be. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone I know.
The table is always ready when we get there and the service is very good. Lots of good food options and we enjoy going there before Hockey games.
