I've been to Maguire's several times, this was the first following COVID-19 restrictions. the menu seems to be simpler than I recall. The steak was cooked to my desire and the mashed potatoes were delicious. My wife go the pork chop which was large and we brought home about half of it. We will be back.
Ellie provided wonderful service and our entrees were prepared perfectly!
Constantly good Food and service!
We have been going to Maguires for years!
Maguire's is a neighborhood gem that always delivers wonderful food at reasonable prices and does it with style. We've been going to Maguire's for special occasions and on the spur of the moment for many years. Never disappointed.
Whatever we wanted was absolutely delicious, the wait staff is phenomenal not hovering not rushing you just perfect
Fabulous. Everything we tried was excellent. Variety of choices.
It's been a while since we've dined at Maguire's, and we were happy with our return visit. Everything we had was delicious starting with the calamari and the Maguire's salad (so yummy) to the pork chop and Mahi-Mahi. Loved every bite. It's not inexpensive, but we definitely would return.
Great place, needs little ambiance change to add light and modernize. Food is still top notch.
Service at Maguires is amazing.
Always very good service and food at Maguire’s
We had not been there in over a year due to the pandemic. It was the same excellent place.
Always a pleasure to dine here! Service is always top notch
Love Maguire's and dine their often as my office is in close proximity. Some time has passed sine my last visit however the restaurant's smell was definitely more noticeable this time. It always has that wood smoke smell, almost like a BBQ restaurant which is great but this time was definitely more noticeable and stuck to me like glue. I had a cocktail reception the same evening and could smell that same smell in my clothes and hair all day. Even a person I hugged made a comment stating it smelled like I had been to a BBQ restaurant. Need to improve the ventilation system. I consider Maguire's an upscale restaurant but I leave feeling like I've been to a bonfire.
Love the food and the people!
Reservation was made for 6:30 and they had it. Nobody at the door when we arrived for about a full minute. A server lady rushed up to cover for wherever the hostess was and took us to our booth, which we had requested, so that was good. I trailed my wife a tad and she dropped the menus and was outa there before I even got to the table. No big deal, she was just helping out. Not helpin out right, but helping out. Waiter was not engaging at all and knew it was our anniversary as he brought out a surprise bottle of Cabernet from one of our close friends who wanted to surprise us. I would describe his service as hit and run, all night long. Good guy, just not real detailed. What he kept asking was if he could refill our wine glasses, which was nice, but never actually needed everytime he asked. Big gaps in time between visits to our table, although his food quality checkback was on time, which is so important. Our shrimp cocktail presentation wasn't very creative, six shrimp laying on a small plate with some greens, but the product was great. Our entrees were piping hot, which was great, but why do some restaurants insist on leaving the shrimp tails on the shrimp and grits, causing the diner to cut them off and scoot to the side. Take the tails OFF please. Both entrees were really good. Was disappointed the restaurant did nothing for our anniversary. We could have gone anywhere, right? Front house help image needs a bit of work. Some pretty rough looking folks. I'd go back, but with a little fine tuning, it could've been a remarkable evening.
Great food, great menu and great service. Nothing more to say.
Great meal and as usual excellent service
Really a nice range of menu selections. Excellent service.
Took a friend to Maguires to lift his spirits after a rough week. Had a nice quiet spot toward the back. Service was excellent, efficient and friendly. Manager stopped to see how things were. I ordered the special sandwich and that was a little disappointing, but all in all an excellent evening as we've come to count on.
So sorry to have to give this restaurant a poor review. It's been over 20 years since I've been here as I moved away and just came back to Dallas. Of course I walk in to that great mesquite smell making me crazy for a steak. On this visit they were clearly short handed. It took at least 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. We started with wine and bread. After our order was finally taken, probably 15 minutes later they informed us that they had closed the smoked grill and our meals would have to be made with that flavor we had come here for. Perhaps it is not as I remembered but the filet was sub par. Maybe closer to a filet from Salt grass although I think saltgrass is even better. I felt obligated to tell the manager on my way out. I told her how much this visit meant to me since I had been looking forward to returning after moving back home. She apologized.
I have been there many times and they always have great food and great service
Really good food, reasonably priced, service was on point, atmosphere was very warm and inviting.
First time customers. Meatloaf ok. Bread pudding ok. Served cold not warm. 50/50 if we will return in future.
One of our favorite places. Very nice to be able to go and enjoy the inside. Great food, great service.
We go to Maguire’s often and it never disappoints. No matter what we order, it is always delicious. Santana is the best waitperson ever.
Rojelio was amazing. Food was great. Had the special of the day and it was incredible!!
We have been going to McGuire's since it opened. We are always happy with the experience. We will keep going back when we want a nice meal.
It was a very nice experience. However, the patio was very warm perhaps blinds could be added to block the sun.
Always good food and good service.
Glad they are still in business.
The restaurant was busy (it was Mother's Day). There was a long wait from the time we ordered until our food was brought to the table, and it arrived cold. Our server could have been more attentive.
Food was fantastic & so was the service !
We always enjoy Maguire's for Sunday brunch. Sure do miss the entertainment music...
Still love to go here no matter what.
Overall the experience was good. I’ll return for some calamari. When first walked in, could tell something was burning and my clothes smelt like burnt food long after I left. I was put off though by the wait time of service after being seated. Another problem I had was the lack of menus for drinks. Definitely didn’t know what drinks they offered. Had to look at other tables to know they served mimosas and normal drinks like orange juice and coffee. However the restaurant felt upscale and loved the decor.
Celebration of Mom’s!!!
As usual, great service, delicious food, & fabulous date night!
As always, food, service were excellent. Thanks to Susie! She is the best!
The campfire/smoky smell was a little overwhelming, but great service.
So impressed by Maguires! Took my elderly parents to lunch- their first time to eat in a restaurant in over a year. We sat on the outdoor patio( perfectly shaded) and enjoyed a delicious meal with outstanding service. Highly recommend!
It was my husband’s birthday. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The flatbread was excellent.
