My favorite restaurant in Charleston. Certainly better than some more recent heralded hyped places.
This very well may be my favorite food in Charleston!
Excellent meal with low country cooking. We had soup, down south egg roll, Parmesan encrusted Mahi-mahi, creamy deviled egg and crab cake/petite filet-all excellently prepared. Cocktails were unique and tasty. Best meal of our trip .
The staff and food was lovely! Thanks for everything!
Our server was friendly and attentive. Our salads were fresh and tasty. My bouillabaisse was the best I have ever had. My companion’s Snapper was excellent. Crispy skin, tender juicy inside. Very yummy on the tongue. Would go back in an instant.
We all love this restaurant and I go often. However this occasion was marred by a very loud and inconsiderate table of six women. That is the loudest I have ever heard in all my years of dining.
Loved every bite. Chef Don Drake runs a great ship. Food and Service impeccable.
Delicious brunch and excellent service. The Bloody Mary was amazing.
We celebrated my sister’s thirtieth birthday there! The deviled eggs were amazing! Fried chicken was decent skin was the best part!
Service and food beyond amazing !
Amazing customer service and incredible food and drinks! Great atmosphere!
We loved the champagne on our 25th wedding anniversary! Thank you to Greg!! We also loved the chocolate cookie with "Happy Anniversary" in our ice cream. We always love Magnolia's and go there every anniversary in Charleston. Greg is a superior waiter and very informative and helpful. Great personality.
We absolutely love this restaurant and dine here every visit to Charleston. Looking forward to next time.
Everything was wonderful the service thank you Greg, as well as the food. Will be back.
My new husband and I were on our honeymoon and decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner out. Magnolias far exceeded our expectations. A coworker of my husband recommended Magnolias and we will definitely pass on the recommendation.
Magnolia is a must in Charleston!! Everything we had was absolutely amazing.
Outstanding service. Our server was amazing and food was one of the best meals we had in Charleston. We have a special needs son and even on that front they went above and beyond to accommodate
The food was phenomenal (I had the bouillabaisse and as an appetizer shared the homemade chips with bleu cheese; I had the lavender ginger beer to drink which was outstanding) and the waiter was extremely knowledgeable. The amount of training they have to go through is very apparent in their professional demeanor and menu recommendations. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would absolutely go back if given the opportunity.
Very disappointed. I made a reservation first time there and visiting from another state . I was seated at a table in the back of the restaurant best to an exit door. It was horrible !! The waiter did his best to try and move us but the hostess wasn’t having it . There were other tables available .I honestly felt like we were punished in the corner . It was horrible.! If there is a next time I won’t let them seat me if they give me a table like that again . But loved visiting Charleston!!!!
Made our reservation through Open Table. The restaurant had no record of it.
One of the best we’ve ever been to.fried green tomatoes were great and had the fish of the day, tile melted in our mouth very mild. Going as much as I can
Scallop appetizer Devine. Crab soup too salty. Pecan Pie outstanding. Service top notch. Front of restaurant more lively. We were in back where it was quieter. I’d recommend it overall.
Excellent food. Presented beautifully. Service was excellent . Don’t miss this great place !
Food was really good
Great every time I am there. Take business associates and friends alike!
Food was amazing! Loved every bite. Service was sub-par. Had to ask our server as well as other servers for refills often. Seemed the waitress was annoyed when we asked for another moment with the menues.
Really enjoyed the experience.
Couldn’t decide on appetizers so we got 3!!!
Low country bouillabaisse was outstanding as was the snapper special.
Unfortunately didn’t leave room for desert.
Service was excellent
Would go there again.
Excellent in every way! Ricky was great ! Keep up the great work!!!
This was our second visit to Charleston but our first dining experience at Magnolias. The service was outstanding. It will diffidently be one of our special restaurants when in Charleston.
Service was great And the food was excellent. Would encourage anyone visiting Charleston to eat at this restaurant.
Magnolia's is like the low country, warm and inviting, comfortable, yet there are hidden surprises. I could make a meal of the fried green tomatoes with cheddar grits, country ham, caramelized onion chutney, and tomato butter. There are many new trendy places to eat in Charleston, but like the low country itself, Magnolia's will never disappoint.
Saw several great reviews and decided to try it while on our trip. It was much better than described. The food was excellent with more than sufficient proportions. The waiter was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. Most patrons were very casually dressed but it certainly didn't take away from our experience. Best shrimp and grits I have ever had. We all had something different and we were all very pleased. Would absolutely recommend it and look forward to returning.
The food and service were spectacular! Our waiter was kind, funny and knew everything about the history of Charleston and food culture. He obviously loves people and his job. We enjoyed everything, especially the shrimp and grits. Portions are large so we had leftovers the next day.
Born and raised here in Charleston - my family and friends L O V E Magnolias! Excellent service, great ambiance, delicious food!
Great dinner best fried green tomatoes they were absolutely amazing. This is a must when in Charleston.
It’s been 10 years since our last visit to Charleston, and Magnolia’s is still great!
Amazing service. Very accommodating to special diets. Great affordable wine list.
Incredible southern food
It had been awhile since eating at Magnolias but it has always been one of my favorites! We were not disappointed. Everything was just perfect and our waiter, Chuck was top notch!
We ate our delicious dinner at the bar. The shrimp appetizer was amazing. I had the halibut-fresh catch and it was superb.
Will definitely dine here again!
