Party of 4 took an hour and a half to get food. Had reservations and were seated after a short 15 minute wait. Took half an hour to be served bread and another hour to get served supper. Three Thanksgiving specials which were left uneaten because they were so salty and plated in a mushy mess. Just a minimum response by management. Won’t be back.
Absolutely wonderful dinner! The food, although pricey, was surpassed by the fabulous food and service you receive. Definitely a must have when staying at Harrahs. We will make this a regular stop whenever we visit Biloxi.
The atmosphere was very nice. The service was a little slow and I needed to remind them to bring my drink. The ribeye looked great but it turned out to be very tough to cut and a big disappointment.
Very nice place, very clean, service was great, but the steaks were bad. Both were order medium, they were served medium rare and well done.
Food was ok. Wine was good. Service was the only nice thing.
The seabass was cooked to perfection. Probably one of the very best I've had anywhere. Somehow it was very light in texture while retaining the buttery flavor. Normally the fish is much heavier in texture. The snapper had a mixture of seafood and mushrooms on top which was very good. The bacon jam on top of the fried oysters appetizer was excellent.
Our server was knowledgeable about the food offerings and provided great service (Latoya)
Liquor pours very skimpy. Tempura lobster appetizer was greasy, almost stale grease taste. Crab & brie soup was very spicy. I like spicy, but this was almost inedible. Waitress was all over us when we were first seated, then she got a large table & we hardly saw her. The time between appetizer & main course (each had a soup & salad) was so long we got tired of sitting there. We didn't order dessert because we were just tired of waiting so long for everything.
Im a vegetarian and sadly the original meal i wanted was not available, jowever, the chef made me a meal and it was more delicious than i could ever expected. Truly satisfied and cant wait to return!
My wife and I had never been to Gulfport to start with, and once we arrived at Harrahs Gulfport we found the Magnolia House to eat at and everything about it was great. Our server was the greatest, a young lady whose name I can’t remember, unfortunately!
Waiter very aloof. Did not come back to check on us. Had to ask for bread and entrees were served cold. Wasn’t awful but overall disappointed. Won’t return
We waited at our table for forty minutes before we finally tracked down our server (in another part of the restaurant) to ask for bread and drinks. Once we did receive our crab cake appetizer, it was cold but we ate it anyway because it had been nearly an hour at that point. Our server said (once she finally showed up again), that our appetizer was given to the wrong table. Once dinner came, we had to send it back because it clearly had been sitting in the window for a LONG LONG time. We grabbed the manager who immediately remedied the situation, waited for new entrees, and brought them immediately. The server told us she normally works in the bar, which was evident by her very delayed service. She was very nice, just apparently not used to waiting tables. Once we did get our food, it was delicious.
Great Dinner, with great server!! The sea bass with jalapeño orzotto was amazing, and my husband had a chicken and dirty rice dish, super spicy, but equally delish! We’ve been here several times, and we’ll be back!
Very delayed service, reservation at 5:00, seated 5:15, no drink order until 5:35. Other tables had bread and we did not, when we asked server told us as of today it was upon request only. Food was excellent as always so it was disappointing as we wanted a fine dining experience to go along with the food quality but it was not there
The service was excellent. The fried lobster and fried tomatoes was awesome. The steaks were cooked perfectly. Will be back soon.
Wonderful quiet atmosphere ! Food was awesome. Favorite was appetizer dip and crostini’s ! Highly recommend. A little pricey .
I planned this meal for a week for our anniversary. I was very disappointed. First, we were served raw oysters with nothing but lemon, after 10 minutes of waiting on condiments we were told they were out of crackers. Who eats raw oysters without crackers and what restaurant would expect you to do so? My soup was good but had cooled by the time I received it and you could tell it had sat in a heat window for quite some time. The wedge salad was nothing at all special. I ordered the Ahi tuna which was good, but the rice served with it tasted like leftovers and was cold(the rice,I ordered the tuna rare), it was not served with yum yum like the menu stated. My husband did like the goat cheese ravioli. Service was slow and our waitress was untrained and dingy. She couldn't get it when I asked for points to be put on my player's card for my purchase and for some reason she thought I was going to leave more than a 40% tip for slow service, mediocre & over priced food. Our meal was over priced, disappointing and we left unfulfilled. I think that a server should never ask if you need change when a order is being paid, I find it rude and presumptions, it should be assumed that change is needed. She didn't break the extra 20 into smaller bills, she said, 'you put an extra 20' so I was forced to leave less than 20% tip, because God knows I wasn't going to wait another 15 minutes for change.
Mother daughter get away weekend. Perfect dinner
Server was a delight. Food was delicious. Crab soup is amazing.
Again the service was excellent. Aleck (I’m not sure of the spelling) is an excellent server. As stated we requested his area for our second visit after having him on Thursday evening. He is very attentive. A good server can change most issues if there are any into positives.
The surf and turf was excellent. Steak and lobster cooked to perfection...the "chef's oysters" exceptional with a very unique taste.
Overall great experience.
Excellent! One of the best restaurants we have ever been to. Fantastic steak and seafood!
We have had dinner there twice and were extremely happy with everything. The seabass was fantastic and my husband said his New York Strip was the best he ever had. It was done exactly as he asked.
Casino host made reservations for us. Was seated fast, given water fast, then no service for 10+ min. After that bread, apps, and dinner all came out at a good time. Steak cooked as ordered, lobster Mac lacked enough lobster for my taste. Loud party in other room. Heard other guest complain as well. Can’t blame restaurant for loud guest.
Magnolia House was a wonderful experience! We were a group of 6 and even on a business night did an amazing job. Highly recommend. Food and Service are unmatched!
The filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Service was excellent as server was both personable and highly efficient.
We've eaten at Magnolia several times and have never been disappointed. The vegetables are always fresh, the steaks cooked perfectly. Try the sweet potatoe it's amazing. The flow of the meal is always great, not rushed, but not lagging. Our server Alan always does a great job.
Celebrated our 50, 51, 52 anniversary here. Had to celebrate our 53rd here a month early because we were uncertain we would be able to visit next month. Everything here is excellent
Excellent food, waitress very helpful, quiet and relaxing. One of the best meals in years.
During these trying times it difficult on all of us. It was nice to have a fabulous dinner and still be respectful and socially distanced. Our gentleman waiter was just right for us.
If you don't ask about the chef's sauces and dishes you won't ever find out about them. The menu is very plain and non-descriptive. The servers are way too casual and don't expect any fine dining qualities.
The food was very plain and mundane as well as the bread just making it warm doesn't make it good.
Don't bother with the desserts. You can get better at a 7-Eleven.
The manager never came to the table once and never said anything on our way in or on our way out.
The chef's oysters appetizer were very good.
Would never do it again, unless I got the red snapper with the chef's seafood sauce over the top and hopefully that would be good.
Outstanding restaurant. Great atmosphere, friendly server, and delicious food! Would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Filet & Snapper were both excellent. Service by Allan also excellent. Prompt and attentive, but not overbearing. No complaints. Recommend.
Very noisy environment. Dining room was small. No view to speak of. While I enjoyed my steak and garlic potatoes, my wife was very disappointed with her salmon (partly medium, partly raw!). Not impressed by food or decor!
It was a birthday celebration. We ate at the same place last year and the crab been Bree soup was much better last year. The food was still excellent. We enjoyed our evening
Great atmosphere and the food was excellent! Definitely will recommend
Melissa our server was GREAT. All food was good and very nice and quite. Hostess Amy is so very nice and sweet. It was 74 birthday. I was made to feel very, very special. Yes, I would recommend Magnolia House to anyone .
No ambiance was like eating in a hotel lobby food overpriced and not that good.
Food was good. Service was terrible! Server obviously did not want to be there.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Service was excellent. Drinks and entrees were outstanding. No complaints at all. Wonderful experience all around.
