We had a lovely time!
It was Father’s Day and my parents 57th Wedding Anniversary. Our table was ready on time. We requested Nick to be our server, and he took very good care of us. He always does. The food was fantastic. All the staff was very courteous and Nick provided an excellent dining experience for my family. Thank you.
I enjoyed everything from the staff to the ambience, as well as the food. I would recommend this restaurant to any and everyone for all occasions. I will definitely return.
Food was excellent, except the shrimp cocktail is just average. The salmon, sides, salad, and oysters were great. I don't think it's a reflection of our server. He had too many tables for fine dining. We were finished eating and sat for over 15 minutes before he returned.
Everything was excellent, good food & service. It was too bright in restaurant, needed low lighting for more ambiance setting
We had reservations and were seated quickly. However, the service was very slow. Our food arrived about an hour after being ordered. The food was very good. The servers are kind and polite but very slow and inattentive. Not much ambiance in the restaurant, only two tables have a window view. Our table was in the pathway of the servers which made the evening awkward and uncomfortable. I expected more for the price. I will probably try a different restaurant the next time I visit the area.
Enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience at Magnolia House. The service by Melissa was attentive without being obtrusive. The Coastal Surf and Turf was divine with creamy blue cheese and stuffed fried oysters. Overall, an excellent dining experience.
Food was excellent. We had fresh oysters, house salad, ceasar salad, crab bisque, Petit filet Oscar, grilled asparagus and Layer Cake Cabernet. Kristen and Josh handled our table and both were great. Highly recommend this restaurant.
I made a point with my reservation that this was a Birthday dinner for my wife. Upon arriving and during our meal, no one at the restaurant acknowledged the occasion, down to the terrible seating. The waitress/server was far to busy talking to the table next to us to observe that we were needing serve. My steak was overstuffed with blue cheese (covered up the taste) and under cooked. The service at a Steak n Shake is more attentive than at this high price debacle of a restaurant. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Another wonderful experience. Johnny and Josh were wonderful. We didn't feel rushed to
make decisions. We had a great overall dinning experience. Thanks to all at Magnolia House.
Overall very positive experience Had the steak tartare and spinach and oysters salad gf had fillet all good
Lights needed to be dimmer
tartare was an appetizer but for price a little small
Waiter was outstanding
It’s a casino Steak House, I would expect some ambiance but this place has very little or none. The staff is good & attentive but it just doesn’t have the class you expect at the prices charged.
My steak was very good paired, everyone else said they enjoyed their meal as well.
The staff, service and food have been amazing each time we've ate there. I will keep going back.
Nick was our server and he was great! This was a casual get together for ladies night! One of the girls who’s vegan had a special dish created by Josh the room chef and she LOVED it! The cocktails were great! All around a great experience!
Where would I start?? I can't say enough good about this restaurant. Kelly English version of the Surf and Turf is unbelievable! The restaurant is quaint and reminds me of dining in an old deep south dining room. It's uncomfortable, without being pretenscious! Our server Jonny knew the menu well and explained all different preparations to me because honestly, there wasn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't eat and I simply couldn't make up my mind!!! I can't wait to go there again, and I am literally craving that meal again!!
disappointing- steak was unevenly cooked- requested medium- medium one end medium rare other. open room not romantic at all. i am a mushroom fan but this was the first time i could not eat them as they were limp and had an odd taste. I put in advance that it was my wife's birthday. they put a small ribbon decor around the fake candle (go back to romantic comment) and the server was the only one to wish her well. the restaurant was empty when we got there. the one plus were the desserts. both were excellent in flavor and presentation and they did write happy birthday in chocolate drizzle on my wife's plate. We were sorry we didn't go to ruth chris at hard rock
My busband and I really enjoyed our dining experience. The staff were very friendly. And the food was spectacular.
We so enjoyed our evening dinner at Magnolia. Our waiter Nick and his assistant Josh were great. Of course the food was perfect. The steak cooked to perfection and I especially enjoyed the grilled asparagus. Love our experience there every time we are in Biloxi.
Food was absolutely amazing. One of the best meals my wife and I have ever had. Service was great. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and courteous. Its in a casino, so prices are casino prices; but for the quality and taste of the food- its worth it. Tempura lobster appetizer was good beyond words. Wife had sea bass and I had grilled tuna- both were cooked exactly perfect. We each ordered a lobster tail with the entrée; those were grilled and also so flavorful and delicious. All the lobster was juicy and tender as well. The desert was great also. We will be going back here any time we visit this area
A lot of southern style. I was surprised there wasn't any chicken on the menu, but there was a good selection. I had the filet and it was excellent. It was cooked perfectly as ordered. Our server was great, friendly and checked on us just the right amount of times. The room was like being in a southern dining room. I would highly recommend the Magnolia House. It was a great place to dine.
People are friendly and the service is great. Perfect place for a special evening or just wanting to relax with a good friend.
The food is excellent. You must try the fried crab claws.
We arrived on time. Had previously had drinks so did not order any- waiter seemed disappointed. Party of 5. Ordered 3 appetizers and 5 entrees. Had to wait approximately 45 min for appetizers- when they came they were good-waiter apologized for wait and offered a free desert. Then, had to wait almost an hour for entrees. 2 orders of scallops - not good. 3 quarter sized scallops each-dried out as if sitting under heat light. 1 filet ordered med rare was well done. 2 special surf and turf-not good- rare on the inside as ordered but cold on the outside too. Another desert offered. A supervisor was sent to the table and we were asked why we didn’t complain sooner? Why we ate the food? Ultimately, they comped the 2 scallops after we said that is what we would like as a remedy and 1 appetizer also. This was a poor choice for a celebratory dinner. Not at all what we expected. 2 other tables of 2 each came in after us, ordered, were served and left before us. Something obviously was amiss with our order. Won’t hurry back to this restaurant.
Husbands 40th this was delicious and perfect!
THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT THE SERVICE WAS BELOW EXPECTATIONS.THE WINE LIST WAS ACCEPTABLE.
The food was incredible, the service awesome. Even though it was our first time dinning at the restaurant we were treated like we were long time customers on a first name basis. We will definitely be returning.
The third time we have been here, and it gets better each time! The fried green tomatoes were delicious and topped with beautiful lump crabmeat. The cream of asparagus soup was to-die-for, and the portions are very nice. The entrees - chop and fish - were the best we'd eaten in some time. The waiter was so-so; the waiter's helper was so much more attentive and personable. This is a 5-star restaurant, as far as we are concerned.
We saw the advertisement for this restaurant while staying at Harrah’s in Biloxi. It looked wonderful, so we wasted no time making a reservation through Open Table for the following evening. (They are closed on Mondays??!) We started with the shrimp scampi, which was one of the best we have ever had. The scampi sauce was different than the usual, in that it was a delicious gravy type sauce. We even asked our server to leave the remaining sauce so we could have it with our dinner. My husband ordered the Gulf Snapper, which came with asparagus & I had the 8oz. Filet, ordered medium rare with asparagus. Our dinners came out about 10 minutes after we were finished with our appetizer. Both dishes were excellent & prepared perfectly. My husband said the snapper was the best he’s ever had, moist, seasoned well & a nice size portion. He is not an asparagus fan but liked his side very much. My filet was a nice thick portion, seasoned, cooked & served perfectly, cut so easily & tasted delicious. The asparagus spears were so thick, but they were surprisingly super tender.
If ever in Biloxi again, we will certainly make a point to dine here again & am looking forward to trying other menu options.
Amazing wait staff and the food was outstanding!
Wonderful experience. Food was excellent. Waitress was very helpful and gave subtle recommendations on what entree was her favorite. All appetizers were whT we expected and more. Whole Harrah’s stay was great.
One of my best meals in recent memory. Portions are large enough that two of us shared two appetizers and one entree -- all perfectly paced by our server Nick and Chef Josh. Fried oysters are not on the menu, but ask anyway. They're served with a small mixed greens salad and blue cheese dressing. Second starter was the mussels. Outstanding! The shared entree was sea bass with corn risotto. We didn't need it -- but we ordered creme brulee with freshly made beignets dusted with powdered sugar. Dinner was accompanied by a reasonably priced petite syrah ($44). Total check for two was approximately $125.
This was not our first visit to Magnolia House. The same as our last visit, the food and ambiance were GREAT! However, this time the service, in our opinion, was quite poor. Our server appeared inattentive and unprofessional and the service was very slow. We had to remind the server of the wine that we ordered. The difference in time between when our after dinner coffee arrived and the desert was served was more tan 10 minutes. After how well our first visit went, we were extremely disappointed with this visit.
The Restaurant was very nice! Had a few starters Because I wasn’t that hungry for a full course. But definitely on my list to do again
Food was very good, but served warm. Could have been hotter. wine list was ok, but not extensive. Good value.
The staff was extremely friendly and on top of their service. The seabass was the best I (& my husband) have ever eaten!! Can’t wait to go back again soon!!
Lobster was burnt and tasted that way. Waiter offered water but never anything else.
We went there on Valentine's day and had the Valentine's day special
We both ordered the same thing , and asked for median cooked steaks
My wifes steak was ok , mine was very well done ( no red or pink what so ever) they wreaked a good cut of meat
When we pointed this out to the server , i got a rude " do you want me to do something about it ? " i said no thanks ,
1. didn't want to wait another 20 minutes , because wife would wait and doesn't like cold food
2. Didn't want this to wreak our eveing more than it did
3. this was so sad because my wife had looked forward to dinner here for weeks !!!
Instead of spending $200.00 on dinner here we should have gone to steak and shake , or blind tiger
We will be back to Harrahs again but doubt i will ever try this place again
The food was excellent and the wait staff was exceptional. We went there to celebrate my birthday. They made sure I had an unforgettable experience. We will most definitely return!
The food was mediocre at best. Scallops were chewy. The steak was very fatty and had a smoky flavor that did not seem natural. Lots of Salt was used. The wines were way over priced.
Every time we stay at Harrah's in Biloxi, we have dinner at the Magnolia House. Usually the food & service is superb....not so this time. After sharing two different crab appetizers, my husband and I ordered 2 Medium filets....one with baked potato and one with the bacon potato hash. When the entrees arrived, my husband's steak was perfectly done, while mine was well-done and the potato hash was also much overdone. The potato cubes were very hard and almost inedible. After my steak was returned and a new one prepared (it took several minutes) I only ate two bites and didn't touch the potato hash. Because my husband had finished and I was definitely out of the mood, my meal went almost untouched. The service was good and I have no complaints there. I suppose it was just an "off night" and we'll definitely give it another try in the future. It just is a little upsetting to spend $43 for a filet that I didn't eat, because it wasn't properly cooked and definitely not up to the Magnolia House standards. Sorry, this time wasn't the exceptional meal we had on previous visits.
Once again the main meal was great but sides poor. View and seating get nearly a zero. Needs better seating and some attempt at a view.
