   The Tuba Garden is JUST perfect in these Covid days. Service was pleasant and due to being outside - the noise volume was minimal. We all enjoyed ourselves and had a great ladies dinner!

   I booked this restaurant as a reaction to watching Stanley Tucci's Searching for Italy -- pasta was called for. I had been to Magic Flute once before, a few years ago, and didn't remember it well. We were delightfully surprised. Not only was the food plentiful, it was delicious and beautiful. We sat in the back garden, someone took a liking to our dog and couldn't get enough of him. We also got an explanation of why it was called the Magic Flute from the owner. All in all, a lovely visit. You can't go wrong.

   My first time visiting this restaurant. This place is a neighborhood gem. The staff was really nice and professional. Some of the food I was looking forward to trying was taken out of the menu but still very good overall. The place is clean (even the restroom). I will definitely come back.

   Cute patio to eat on, little chill so bring jacket :). Overpriced on coffee, every refill of black coffee was $3, which after 3 cups (which are very small tea cups) was a jolt for a $9 black coffee.

   Lovely Saturday brunch on the patio. I had the prosciutto eggs Benedict and my husband had the Hunter's scramble - both delicious and served with fresh fruit and a salad. Had the beignets for dessert: they were delicious - though a little less doughy than we would have liked, but it left lots of room for the raspberry puree and whipped cream served with them. Service was great and the ambience on the patio was really nice. Will definitely return!

    Magic Flute has always been a welcoming place with good food and service. On our first time back since the pandemic, we found the back patio ideal, light and airy, and we had a delicious meal, with attentive and friendly service.

    Terrific lunch - we both ordered smoked chicken salad & as always, delicious. Perfect lunch with Marin friend. We had not seen each other in months. Perfect day for lunch in your beautiful garden setting. Excellent wait staff, friendly, efficient, and courteous.

    Such a nice outdoor area. Husband’s pork chop excellent. My pizza - eh. Server provided minimal service but certainly no pleasantries. But Magic Flute is an institution, and a nice setting. Will order better next time.

    Our first time there. Seated in an outdoor patio with several other well-spaced tables, away from the street, very charming. Service was friendly. We were immediately intrigued by the fried olives stuffed with anchovies (appetizer), which proved to be the perfect starter. Our entrees, seafood linguini and a roasted pork chop with fig sauce, were both excellent. Very nice berry pie for dessert. Add a couple glasses of wine, and what more could you ask for? Street parking can be a challenge though.

    Six of us enjoyed our evening at Magic Flute! The garden is charming, although chilly the night we dined ( heat lamps made it okay, though), the food was delicious ( and I look forward to the return of the mussels on the full menu!), the chef accommodated a special diet request from one of our party, and the service was excellent! and the beignets are stellar as a finale!

    My first sit down restaurant meal in over a year. The outdoor patio has a great ambiance and felt "safe" I could smell the disinfectant used between customers and though slightly annoying, gave me peace of mind so was well worth it. We had a great server: friendly, personable, funny. Would definitely recommend and will absolutely return!

    Awesome menu choices and lovely back patio dining with sufficient # of tables. Service was slow but they may have been understaffed or maybe our waiter was new. Overall, highly recommend Magic Flute!

    Server was incredibly rude from the moment we sat down. Barely said hello and told us we needed to be out in 90 minutes-- which is fine, but we were the first diners in the restaurant that night and his tone was so rude it was all we could talk about all meal. We live in the neighborhood and were excited to try this place, but I don't know we can go back because of how uncomfortable the experience was

    Hadn’t been here to the patio in a while and remember now why I love this classic neighborhood spot. Had a great brunch with amazing scrambles and French toast with cinnamon cream, apples and bacon crumbles. The cappuccino was amazing too. Left so full and happy! Thanks for making it a highlight of the weekend.
