For being a St. Patricks Day on Saturday I was able to get reservations for a table. It was a great night and the staff was great.
Our Server Oscar was awesome! Thanks for a great night!
Fast becoming a family favorite. Fantastic cream of crab soup, and their French onion soup is a close second. Wings are excellent, particularly when they're $.75 a piece on Sunday!
My best friend of 45 years and I meet here annually to biannually. We always get great service , good food and all the time we need to catch up with each other.
Reasonably priced; excellent service; consistently worth the visit.
Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Our server was very attentive and handled our large party very well.
Waiter was very friendly and attentive , even remembered our wine preference from earlier visit
Excellent go every Tuesday for half price burgers!
Really good food, great wait staff and personnel internal. The staff genuinely wanted to make sure you had a good experience.
Service was excellent and food delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Our group has been coming to Maggie's for our Christmas luncheon for a lot of years.
Nothing special in food, service or ambiance. Not sure if there will be a return visit.
Met with friends for Sunday breakfast. They had just opened so it was quiet with a warm and charming atmosphere. Food was good and nicely presented. First time I ever had quiche that was more like an egg custard but it was very tasty. Maggie’s has been around for a long time and is always consistent with food quality. Makes a nice country drive if you are not close by!
We have been going here for special occasions for years. Always a good experience. This time was for my wife's birthday and I should have called the restaurant directly to make the reservation. Made the reservation for 6:30 (confirmed) through OpenTable and when we arrived at 6:30 were told that the restaurant had it down as 6:00 and it had expired. We had to wait for some of our party anyway, so it was not an issue, but troubling nonetheless. Bottom line - good food and good service as usual once we were all seated.
Went at about 830pm for their half price burgers, it was very quiet and a bit empty but the burger was very good and so was the service.
A friend and I went to Maggie's for lunch. It was marvelous! The food was excellent, and we even brought back a lunch to a friend who couldn't join us. Definitely a restaurant for continued partronage.
I reserved on open table but they didn't receive the reservation. Fortunately they able to seat us right away. Food, drink, service were excellent
Great service. Our server took an interest in our questions and had a good understanding of the menu. She was also attentive during the meal.
Not impressed. Burgers were overlooked and dry. Even on half priced burger night, not a value.
Great local place to have a very good meal. Great service! Very good value! We went twice in one week and will go back whenever we are in town! Save the trip to the coast and eat the crab cakes here!
Took some clients to lunch while we were out seeing houses in the area. We had prompt and friendly service, the food was good, and the prices were reasonable. And my clients were happy! Can't ask for much more than that!
The meal was fabulous! Their specials are unique and yummy! They do a great job pairing the wine with the entree! Our server was lovely! The 9noy thing that would have made it even better sea y ING the noisy family in another room.
I was disappointed to be seated in the bar area when there were plenty of empty tables in the dining rooms. I made these reservations two and a half weeks ago to avoid this sort of thing.
As always, the food and wait staff are definitely superb and consistently excellent. We have always had a pleasant dining experience and never felt rushed.
Met with friends/family for an out-of-town occasion and although the food was plentiful and tasted good it was very expensive. My biggest complaint was the condition of the restaurant. The walls were scuffed and dirty. The outside door window was dirty and full of smudge/fingerprints. The decorations were gaudy and strewn around. With a little care and paint it could be a nice place to go for the price. I will not recommend.
The appetizers we had as our meal were fantastic. The reuben bites were delicious with melt in your mouth corned beef. The crab dip was wonderful. Our server was friendly and stopped back frequently to check on us and our needs.
Been there many times before, dinner is always very good, just a little noisy for older folks with bad ears - mostly coming from the bar area. Service is excellent!
Last minute get together with another couple and we decided to head to Maggies. Everyone really enjoyed their meals as I had the Chicken Champagne and would recommend it. Meals were moderately priced and service was really good overall. You can sit in the bar area and/or pick their dining area which I believe is separated in two different rooms. They have a good draft beer selection as I had a Dog Fish 60 minute IPA. Will definitely go back again as we all had a very favorable experience.
We decided to check out Maggie's during Restaurant Week as neither of us had been before and it sounded like a good deal. We made a reservation through Open Table and they were ready for us when we arrived. Our name was even on the table when we sat down. The room we were sat in was behind the bar area and had what looked like an old fireplace/cooking area, but it was covered with a table cloth and an Easter display. The room had a bit of an odor to it, but we couldn't place it and eventually it was gone (not sure if we got used to it or if it was one of the other restaurant patrons). Our server was nice and attentive. She kept us informed as to when we could expect the next course. RW was 4 courses for $30.17. I've been to a number of RW's in Baltimore and DC so the pricing seemed reasonable - especially for the number of courses and the food was pretty good, but I'm not sure it matched the cost of the meal. We started with the crab dip and reuben bite appetizers. The crab dip needed more seasoning, but the ruben bites were fantastic! For the salad course he had the ceasar and I had the house. They were fine, but neither of us finished them. For dinner, I had the crab cake and he had the chicken chesapeake. The crab cake was really good, but could have used a bit more seasoning. There was almost zero filler though which was amazing. The chicken chesapeake was delicious. Sides were roasted potatoes and a zucchini and pepper medley. They were decent, but nothing special. For dessert, we both got the Turtle Pie. It was very rich, but not all that good. The layers fell apart and just didn't seem to compliment each other very well. Would we go back? Sure. Would we go back soon? Probably not.
Food was excellent. Both of us had crab cakes. Mine was the double crab cake dinner. The crab cakes were excellent with jumbo lump meat, broiled and lightly seasoned. The chardonnay that was recommended was very good and matched well with the dinner. Hers was the crab imperial chicken dinner. She said the sauce was excellent as well as the crab cake. We will be returning to try out the menu from time to time. Definitely worth going back.
Overall, the food and service was very good. However, upon leaving, the entrance way was dark and the step just outside of the exit door was not marked or well lit. I fell hard as I exited the restaurant. A waitress came out, along with my dining companions, but the manager never did. I provided my name and number for him to call me; he never did. I am in my mid-fifties and this was a very bad fall. I ended up with bruising in multiple places and, after 3 days, am still suffering from shoulder and lower back pain. I will be fine, but the fact that this manager didn't even bother to address me is disheartening. They should have better lighting and/or at least a yellow strip on the step or a sign indicating there is a step.
We dined during restaurant week. 2 people at the table ordered the rib dinner. They were found to be very fatty and not good taste.
Diverse menu which offers something for everyone. Prompt, friendly, and attentive service. Impressive list of specials. Draft beer list was diverse; not overwhelming but well rounded. Desserts were solid and good variety was offered. Can't wait to go there for live music in the bar. A date night to remember.
Service was good, food was delicious and the menu had a good variety. The only downfall is that if no one is in the office, your reservation doesn't count.
The hostess was awkward and seemed dense. The server was great and was very helpful. My crab cakes were delicious. They make good food but it is overpriced for the restaurant you are in. The menu lacks direction but I would come back.
Stopped by for a new year's eve bite. Thought it'd be more busy but it was fairly quiet. Our server was pleasant and the food was quite good. I'd return.
Overall good. The steak was very dry for medium rare. It tasted like it was cooked in a pan. The burger my son got was totally burnt and he didn't tell us until we got home or we would have returned it. A little high price for a bacon cheeseburger. The mashed potatoes were the best.
The food was authentic Irish Pub food very good at a reasonable price . Had a reservation and I will complain about the awful table last table upstairs in the back next to the service bar was not happy about that asked for a different reputable they would not budge abviously the best place to sit is downstairs around the bar area . One other thing I was stilll eating and the waitress went o yake my plate when it was half full annoying
Maggie's has great food and I love the historic atmosphere in the bar area or dining room. A little pricey depending on the entrée but great food, plus excellent service makes the price worthwhile.
Six cousins met there for our traditional "day after Thanksgiving" lunch and the food was great. Three of us had crabcakes, one had the bison burger, one had a shrimp dish and one had a chicken sandwich. No complaints at all, and our waitress couldn't have been more attentive.
The service was good. The best thing that was ordered was the Maryland crab soup, that was delicious. The ceasar salad with tandori shrimp was the worst I ever had. The lettuce was so wet that the dressing was unrecognizable and tasteless. It came with 4 curled up, dried up shrimp. My date got a spinach salad that was so small in was enough to feed a child. Not a good value at all. And it was very cold inside the restaurant.
We met family there for a birthday luncheon. The food was great and the choices were many. I especially thought the coffee was excellent. Part of our party arrived early and were seated and treated very well until the rest of the group came. Will happily go there again.
