Maggiano's - Schaumburg Ratings and Reviews
My boyfriend and I were celebrating our third anniversary. I made a reservation online for 6:45 Saturday night and mentioned that. We were greeted with a happy anniversary and hearts confetti on the table. We were seated before 6:45 which was a surprise. We both ordered the 8 oz filet. It came with asparagus and seasoned steak fries. Did you ever taste something so amazing that you closed your eyes to savor the flavor? That was this dinner! We also enjoyed complimentary lemon cookies with a sparkling candle. The server was friendly and prompt. It was the best! I should have taken a picture of the dinner. Sorry I didn't!
Maggiano's offers a nice family style atmosphere with a great variety of comfort and classic dishes which even accommodated our vegetarian and vegan guests however on this particular visit we were disappointed with the service and not pleased with room temperature food. While we could have easily returned our food to request hot food, our group of 8 would not have been able to enjoy eating together. Just a quick comment to share with the chef about the sausage and peppers appetizer...great Flavor's but offer nice quartered size peppers rather than a few diced peppers. Consider offering baked clams.
We were pleasantly surprised by the offer of Brunch and were surprised by the delicious and hearty food and prices! Looking for another reason to go again! Over the years we have met with friends to enjoy our favorite place to meet. Now we have another excuse to meet up at our favorite place for Brunch...thanks!
My co-worker and I went for lunch because we were thinking of using Maggiano's to cater our office holiday party, but we weren't familiar with some of the dishes/desserts that we were choosing from. Our server, Adan, was extremely helpful in describing the dishes and making recommendations. He was very patient and knowledgeable. We had a great experience and it sold us on Maggiano's for catering.
I have eaten at this restaurant many times off and on and have noticed the food quality declining. It seems that the food preparations has become more fast food than a meal that was prepared for the order. Disappointed to see and taste the decline in this place
We were able to get a reservation for a Saturday night at 715. Parking is a nightmare but they have valet for $5. We got in at the scheduled time even though the place was mobbed! I was impressed as I thought for sure we would need to wait awhile - even with reservations. The waiter was attentive but not hovering. Seamless and prompt when needed. And the food was excellent. I wish we had room for dessert as it looked good but we were stuffed.
We really enjoyed our visit to Maggiano’s - we were 15 mins late for our reservation but the staff was still able to sit us within 5 minutes. The food was really good. We opted for the $43 dinner for 2 option that included two starters, two pastas, a dessert and two take home pastas. Since the portions are generous that’s really like 8 meals
Went for an anniversary dinner. We got an appetizer, 2 dinners, and a piece of chocolate cake all for $84! It was all amazingly put together. I made reservations online and asked them to decorate the piece of chocolate cake with, "I love you frankie" somewhere and they did. I didn't even give them specifics and they made it look BEAUTIFUL! I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a dinner and everything turned out great. The servers were also all very nice and helpful, especially for it being 5:00pm on a Saturday night!!
On Friday 11/3/17 I ordered the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and it was barely warm and certainly not hot when served. Since I was with a business client I chose not to complain and make do. Considering my bill was $65.00 before tip (tip was $10.00 for a total of $75.00) for only two people, I was disappointed and may not consider Maggiano's in the future for my business lunches.
Food was ok. Most things were salty tasting. The drink prices were very high. A glass of wine was anywhere from $9-$18. Most wines were on the cheaper side and they were charging for a glass what you could buy a whole bottle for. Mixed drinks were expensive and tasted watered down. We were crammed in against the table behind us. Both the gentleman behind me and myself could barely fit. Overall a bit disappointing.
Busier than we expected, but we forgot about the Sunday family style menu for groups of 4+. Our waiter was very friendly, but took a long time between visits. I ordered the Tuscan Shrimp & Chicken - Ziti, Prosciutto, Asiago Cheese, Red Pepper Cream Sauce. Way too much Asiago for me and the pasta was not al dente. It was overcooked and so was the shrimp. Sauce was good, not too heavy. Zucchini app was great as always.
