Maggiano's - Denver South Ratings and Reviews
We went this weekend for my daughters birthday. Our waiter was outstanding. My husband gave him a 45% tip he was that good!
He said his dish was excellent. My daughter and I shared the Linguini and Clams. It had good flavor but it was on the dry side. We ended up asking for more sauce then it was really good.
The bread is great. Only issue we had was my husband prefers butter. We asked two different people and they both said they would bring it and they never did. They were slammed Sunday night.
They brought my daughter their free birthday desert. It was cookies that weren't very good. We think it would be awesome if they allowed the birthday person to pick their own desert. If it is a cost issue then make the portion smaller.
Had a 7:30 reservation waited for about 10 minutes. Our waiter was awesome, very attentive especially with our 16 & 9 year old! He alone made our visit awesome! The only bad part of our experience was that our table was right by the kitchen. Food was exceptional!
The food is always good. My only complaint is that we had a reservation for 630 and we didn’t get sat until 715. I know things can get backed up and tables stay longer than anticipated but it would have been nice to be informed about the longer wait and offered water while we waited or something. We will of course be back.
We went for Valentines date night. We drive up from Colorado Springs. my wife’s family is Italian and she couldn’t stop raving about the red sauce being as good as her Sicilian grandmothers and though it scares me to have seafood this far away from the ocean the clams, muscles, lobster and shrimp were excellent. . Have a reservation in advance or you’ll be waiting. It is a very large open restaurant and did get quite loud. Servers are extremely tentative and well educated on the meals being served along with being able to recommend excellent wine. We would highly recommend anyone make the drive, and bring your kids it’s loud so nobody will hear them. Forgot to mention, dinner for two with bruschetta bar appetizers a couple glasses of wine, the dessert sampler and a take-home meal and the bill was under $100. That’s pretty stinking good
Our service was somewhere between slow and non-existent even though the restaurant was half empty. As it started to get busier we realized just how close all the tables were to one another making you feel squeezed in and increasing the noise level considerably.
The hostess was terrible given we had a reservation and several other walk in parties were seated before us (including incomplete parties). When we inquired she was quite rude. I would have bought that it could take longer to seat a party of six but there were five other available 6-tops in the area we were seated. The waiter was nice and saved the experience but honestly very disappointed in the hostesses attitude for our first experience with brunch at this restaurant.
Made a reservation days before and when we got there the place was packed to ceiling. After waiting for 30 minutes past our reservation time we asked if they might know when we would be seated. They told us there were still 5 parties before us. Horrible just horrible, why even make a reservation at that point? Went down two streets to the Macaroni Grill and we were seated immediatly. Food was great and service was top notch and we still managed to make it to our movie. Do not eat here unless you mind waiting an hour past your reservation time and make sure you don't have any other plans. Horribly managed, just terrible.
It was our granddaughters 6th birthday celebration. She chose Maggiano’s because she remembered last years birthday at Maggiano’s. She loved the lemon cookies and especially the lit candle that came with it.
But when we arrived this year for ‘her birthday lunch’ celebration she was greeted with a sweet thoughtful happy birthday song from our hostess (and I apologize for not getting her name.) What a start to her day!
Then our most professional and friendly server-Jane-was most helpful and informative about your menu and her superb service. Our granddaughter was truly having the best day and so were we.
My wife and I will be back later in March for a wonderful dinner at Maggiano’s I’m sure.
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and fantastic service and wonderful food.
Our granddaughter has informed us where she will have her next birthday celebration—at your Maggiano’s.

We had great food and service. I love the Sinatra music they play in the background,
however it is too noisy to hear. It's difficult to have a conversation at the table because
of the noise level. Still, it is one of my favorite restaurants, I will continue to go often.
The atmosphere is very nice and comfortable with ambiance.
You cant go wrong with Maggiano's any time or for any occasion! Food and service and always excellent. We went on Valentines Day and were treated to a wonderful dinner for two. A perfect way to spend a wonderful evening with your special someone!
The only bummer was they ran out of our favorite "Zucato" cake! But, the Tiramisu was excellent. Your forgiven!!
As much as my husband and I love Maggiano's, we feel that the time frame from ordering (no matter if it is an appetizer or dessert) is a little too long. Plus, we do not like one person taking the order, and another person bringing the order. We think it would feel more personal if just one person took care of you from ordering, to serving, and everything.
