   The food was genuinely good, and the ambiance was the best part of the night. The live music gave the place an energetic, upbeat vibe that made it feel special and fun. Unfortunately, the service really brought the experience down. We were seated in the bar area, and while our server did check in on us and asked us how everything was, the overall interaction felt rushed and impersonal. It seemed like she was bothered to have to come out from behind the bar to serve our section, and we felt more like a burden than valued guests. We understand it was a busy night, and she likely had a lot to manage—but when you’re spending a few hundred dollars on wine, dinner, dessert, and drinks, the least you expect is to feel welcome. Instead, we felt like we were being pushed out the door. Between the great atmosphere and the disappointing service, it was a mixed experience—and sadly, not one we’ll be returning for.

   I gotta say, the service has gone wayyyyyyyyyy downhill. We ordered drinks right away and server was very eager to take our food order too but we just sat down. Drinks came out and the. Server didn’t return forever……. We finished our first cocktails and I had to get up and flag a server down. I have having to feel like I am being obnoxious but it felt like we had been forgotten about. Server was also new to the USA and while yay, welcome to our country, he really struggled to communicate well and understand us. The music entertainment vibe was also off. This used to feel like a cool spot but I feel like the vibes are very off now between the strange service and music. Food and drinks no complaints. Just weird vibes…. Like the new staff has been trafficked in or something.

   The food we had for brunch was good. I had the Mediterranean plate which was a nicely, dress salad, hummus, pita, and poached eggs. Not too much that can go wrong there. After we put in our order, the roof opened generating a wind tunnel through the restaurant that immediately sent paper menus flying, and caused us and other diners to look around in confusion. When none of the staff seemed concerned with the frigid conditions, we asked that the roof be closed to prevent the strong wind from blowing. We were told that the manager or the owner (we heard different stories from different servers) refused to allow them to close the roof and did not care if diners were too cold. They kindly showed us to another table that was in a less windy part of the restaurant, but it was still much too cold for me. We finally found a somewhat warmer spot outside in the sun. WTF? The whole thing was so ridiculous. I don’t know what more to say.

   Was excited to eat here but our waitress, believe her name was Ray or possibly Raya, was so stand offish and non engaging. She was more energetic with other tables than ours, in fact, we both watched her take a shot at the table with dining guests. We stated we were cold she never offered to turn on the heater to make us more comfortable. I saw her roll her eyes before addressing us at the table - she didn’t serve us water, our food nor our drinks. All brought to the table by others. Food was lack luster nothing amazing, I agree with another review, could’ve made that food at home. I don’t appreciate the unwelcoming spirit of my time here at all. Very unlike SD restaurants. Won’t be returning or recommending

   Solid happy hour in the neighborhood. Spoiled to be able to walk there. Always delicious and enjoyable with great friends.

   Walking into the Madison was awesome, you are coming into the dining room, yet you are still in an outdoor ambiance, I loved the openness and airflow. The service was great, loved the live music, the appetizers were delicious and dinner was good.

   Food was amazing. Had the ravioli and the sauce was amazing! Just wish it had more than 5 pieces of ravioli. Next time will order a side of chicken or something. Overall food was good and we spent less than $400 with 6 people so it was a win!

   This place is only for appetizers and drinks. This place is not a good place for dinner. We tried the pasta, chicken, lobster dish and all were bland. The appetizers were great. The drinks were amazing.

    We love the live music on Tuesdays. And everything we had to eat and drink was delicious. The mini sliders were so good and we always love to have an Old Fashioned from the bar!
