Somewhat quiet for a saturday night but it was great!

My wife and I both ordered the Filet mignon medium. Mine came out rare and hers came out burnt and very well done. I had to send mine back and it was nice to see the waitress check her notes to see that I really ordered medium before she would agree to take it back to the kitchen, as if I was making it up. We both had a salad before the main course. Must have been a slow night because from ordering to “ have a nice night on your way out” was a hour and 15 mins, and that was only because we stayed and talked for 20 Minutes. The way the waitress threw my change on the table as she was flying past without a word of thanks made it clear that a 18% tip on the total bill, including on the $60 bottle of wine was not sufficient in her eyes. Speaking of wine, they like to uncork the bottle at the bar so you never see it opened nor a look at the cork.
To be fair, I have been here at least a dozen times over 2 years, but things seem to be going down hill because I do not recall this happening before.

It was Mother’s Day so I was expecting it to be crowded, but that was not the case. It was fairly empty and yet the service was terrible. We were given the wrong soup of the day (which we ordered) and received completely different soup. Never received bread. After asking twice for drink refills we had to grab another waiter. We waited 30 minutes for our dinner after they cleared the apps. I never complain, but this was really awful. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Good Afternoon, We did over 300 reservations on Mother's Day, so the restaurant was not empty. As for your soup, we did immediately rectify it. We're sorry you didn't enjoy your experience, and the waitress you had is under review for her lack of performance.
Went for the lunch special. The steak foccacia sandwich was amazing. I ordered the lobster bisque and lobster mac & cheese. Both were acceptable, but nothing great. I was turned off by the cut up bagels they served as bread.
We dined in the private wine room, set for 8 of us. It was a wonderful intimate dinner shared with family and friends. Fried calamari was perfectly seasoned, Fresh tuna and avocado appetizer was to die for.
Martinis were very large and well shaken (something that you NEED for a dirty martini), and the Ribeye and porterhouse steaks were cooked to perfection at medium rare.
Overall our family had a fantastic time and the service was top notch, especially considering the dining room was completely full the entire time we were there. Kudos to the staff for making sure we didn’t feel neglected throughout.

Upon arrival we were shown to a table for two that was crammed in between two other tables. The area was so tight that neither chair had enough room to move away from the table and both chair backs were resting upon other guests’ chairs on either side. I attempted to sit down, but my inability to move my chair left my abdomen pressed against the table. When our server came over to introduce herself, we informed her of the situation and requested a new table. She said she would need to speak to her manager regarding a solution. After a very brief wait, she returned to the table and told us the manager had refused to relocate us to a different table and suggested that we go eat at the bar instead. Since continuing the date with my wife at the bar was not how we desired to enjoy a meal together, we were forced to leave the restaurant. We were then faced with finding a new venue, on a Friday night without a reservation. The most bothersome and disappointing aspect of this whole experience was that absolutely no legitimate attempt was made to fix our situation. The decision to deny relocating us was made in an instant and the manager didn’t even come over to us directly to deliver the verdict and/or offer an apology for the inconvenience.

Visited during restaurant week. Waitstaff seemed overworked and inattentive. Waitress had too many tables and bussed as well. Food was OK. Would not recommend.

I like Mac's Steakhouse, but Restaurant Week was a disaster. The service was absolutely awful. Atrocious. The food was not up to the quality of the regular menu. Very disappointed.
They were short staffed and I really respect that the hostess jumped in to help the servers and bused tables. I food was a bit disappointing. I had the lobster bisque which was delicious. Everything else was bland. The short ribs were very tender, but had no flavor. I don't know that I would go back outside of restaurant week.

We always get an amazing meal here. I had the seafood linguini special and my husband had the skirt steak and it was absolutely delicious. The place is very warm and classic... off the beaten path for a Huntington restaurant but definitely a good place to consider!

Tuesday night dinner, we were the only people in there, been here before, but this time was a very poor experience, the place smelled musty when we walked in, the canon on the wedge salad was old, the filet mignon was dry, we would of been better off cooking a steak from target. Nothing was to speak for, banana foster was burnt and rubbery. You would think when they are slow the food would be better because the chef isn’t rushed, but instead he gave us the old leftovers with a $300 bill. Better off going to insignia, at least the food is good with a comparable price.

Old world charm greets you as you enter Mac's Steakhouse. There is a lively bar to the left and an elegant dining room to the right. A fabulous dining experience awaits you. Our favorite appetizers are the meatballs and the ceasar salad. The entrees are impressive . The diet mignon is buttery soft and cooked perfectly . The creamed spinach is the best. Salmon with risotto is a great choice for fish lovers. Desserts are beyond the earthly realm.

Food was very good. Service was adequate. But.... They forgot to bring bread and did not inform us of their specials.
Celebrated my daughters birthday. Service and food is always great and they. Thought out a dessert with a candle for her based on my comment in the open table reservation

The food was very good, the only thing was the stuffed clams were so small, as my thumb. The pace needs to be updated. It was dirty, need to be vacuumed rugs cleaned or replaced. The dishes and silverware also.

I have had a problem EVERY time with this restaurant when Ive booked with OpenTable, do yourself a favor and skip them, there are plenty of better restaurants in Huntington Village. I hate for this to impact the servers and the chef, but Ive had it with the lack of customer service from management.

A true carnival of errors. New inexperienced waitstaff that didn’t even know how to open up a bottle of wine and how to pour yet alone, sample the requested bottle. Food orders were also mixed up and steak temperatures were not as requested. Wait staff was eager to remove appetizer plates while others at the table were still consuming their appetizers.
It’s unfortunate that this particular steakhouse in the Town Of Huntington has received notoriety for its poor service but now, after having dined there, I need to concur. It is a fairly expensive restaurant and if I’m going to spend that much money on a steak dinner, I’ll be at Bryant and Cooper’s.
The ambience is actually quite nice and subdued however, carpets need to be shampooed and cleaned as they were sticky, likely from steak juice or other spilled items

The food was good but the service was terrible. It was not very crowded but we waited forever between the appetizers and entrees. Waitress never refilled our water glasses unless we asked. It was a disappointing experience

Tuna and avocado appetizer was a perfect start to the meal. 16oz filet mignon was perfectly cooked (rare) and well seasoned. My whole family ordered steak and everything was fabtastic.
An un-rushed after dinner cup of coffee and Sambuca topped off the meal. Thank you for a wonderful meal.

I have been along time customer at Mac's. Never disappoints! I enjoy coming a little early to enjoy the bar area with a perfect Martini! My porterhouse was tender and cooked just right. Service was[as always] on point.
Lobster tail wasn’t too fresh, lobster meat was hard and dry, everything else was amazing.
Hate going to dinner on Valentines Day.. but I must say going to Mac’s was a wonderful experience for a day typically of fixed menus, tables pushed to close together for the masses, and overwhelmed staff...the food, service were just fantastic! Well done to the team of professionals at MAC’s. Will return again!
Service was slow and the orders didn’t come out as ordered. Over priced and even though the owner was on site he paid little attention to the overall operation. I’m really surprised it’s still in business.

Food was good and nicely presented. Staff was friendly but not as attentive as usual and it was not that busy even though it was a Friday night. Wait for the check was way too long. Had to remind server for coffee and soda requested.
Had lunch with my girlfriend. We loved the atmosphere, the waiter and the food. Always a great experience at Macs.

I have dined many times at Mac's Steakhouse and have been more than satisfied. The Restaurant Week experience was below their standards. My husband and I invited another couple to dine with us and we all were very disappointed. The menu selections were not of the quality of their regular menu. Service was spotty. They ran out of wine and cocktail glasses so we had red wine in white wine glasses and a White Russian was served in what looked like a soda glass. The silverware at each place setting didn't match. We took it all in good humor since we knew they were over extended, we live in the area and know the restaurant. However, I think more planning is needed next time Restaurant Week comes around and Mac's decides to participate.
