Nonna Lucia's recipe, fresh pasta layered with egg, ground veal, Mozzarella & tomato sauce
Pasta al Forno
Baked penne with smoked mozzarella in a light tomato sauce
Veal layered with Prosciutto, Mozzarella & mushrooms sautéed in a light white sauce
Good was fair but service left a bit to be desired. Waited for nearly 15 min bill after table was cleared and watched the neighboring table do the same... in fact they went to track down the server to get the bill after waiting for so long.
I had an unbelievably good time! Frank, the manager is warm and inviting and knows his stuff. Carlos the waiter, was fast, efficient and knowledgeable. Overall, the restaurant is five stars plus. Great pasta, wine list and overall experience! I can’t wait to go there again!
Just not the best place to get pasta. Don’t get the tortellini with cream sauce taste like tortellini soaked in milk. Service is good.
Need to clear table faster between courses, since tables are small. Need to replenish flatware after first course…no one wants their used utensils placed on the table in between courses, esp. post COVID
We had to wait for staff to offer grated parm & ground pepper. We were asked 1/3 into the meal.
Our table top was wobbly…should be an easy fix & checked every day pre-service.
Staff just needs to be better trained to really elevate the experience. Food was outstanding!
Lucia Ristorante is my favorite restaurant to visit every time I'm in Boston. The food is always wonderfully prepared. My favorite is the Gnocchi Abruzzese. It never disappoints. Tender but not chewy, filling but not heavy. The service is also top quality. Friendly, knowledgeable, and available without being intrusive. Due to covid we dined outside ( the only positive covid is all the outdoor dining) the seating was was comfortable and the warm weather added to the positive experience.
We ate outside and it was really pleasant being in the church courtyard. The service was great and it was so enjoyable
This was my first time eating at Lucia. I'll definitely be back!
We were seated immediately at the time of our reservation, which is not always the case at busy North End restaurants. Our server was very friendly, but for some reason our entrees came out before our salads and appetizer. That was a bit strange. The food was tasty, and there are a decent number of vegetarian dishes available. The Caesar salad was big enough to share, and the dressing was definitely homemade and especially delicious. We would have ordered dessert, but our server dropped off the dessert menu and then didn't come back for quite some time. Overall, we had a good experience.
Loved outdoor patio. Friendly service. Typical Italian fare
Our waiter was fantastic! Food and drinks amazing!! Been several times and Lucia's is definitely one of our top picks! Can not wait to go back!
There was a piece of metal in my food and they were very apologetic about it, but didn't even offer to take it off the bill. I was pretty shocked when I got the bill and it was on there.
Wonderful food and awesome host!
The patio was adorable - comfortable, open, and clean. Great atmosphere, delicious food.
Friends 21st birthday
We met outdoors on their terrace across from the Paul Revere statue. Lovely spring day and lovely lunch.
Appetizers were very good, especially calamari too bad the food lacked authentic flavoring.
1st timer. Food was delicious, and service was excellent. Nice atmosphere. A bit expensive but enjoyed overall. Will go back.
42nd Anniversary dinner @ Lucia’s
Food was mediocre. I ordered the salmon. The waiter asked me how I wanted it a f I said medium rare. It was definitely closer to well done. Had to send the sangria back. It was so sweet it tasted like candy. My husband, a non-picky eater, got the chicken parm which he also thought was underwhelming. This was our first dinner out since this all began and it was pretty mediocre.
Poor ventilation and very hot downstairs - avoid this. Food was good. Service was hopelessly slow and confused.
Our waiter Diego was incredible and so attentive, as was the entire staff. We loved being able to eat outside on the patio and the restaurant is in a great location on the quieter end of Hanover St. It was a wonderful night out and we would go back!
8pm reservation and was not seated until 8:50pm.
Diego was an amazing waiter! Every member of the staff was attentive and welcoming. The food was very good and priced as you would expect for the north end. Cocktails were $15 which is, again, about average for the area but pretty silly that restaurants charge that much for a Titos martini... but, not a deal breaker. It was a very fun night and they were conscientious about all covid related protocols.
Excellent restraunt. They were very accommodating and provided excellent service.
A lovely evening outside with great food and service.
AMAZING, DELICIOUS FOOD!!! Have been many times and the food is always so wonderful, tastes great! The waitstaff were so lovely, gracious and accommodating.
The chef and kitchen staff did a fantastic presentation of food and the dinner was so
LOVE THIS RESTAURANT, FANTASTIC FOOD!!!! Make a reservation early, as they fill up. Ate in the outdoor courtyard was so lovely!
Wonderful dinner, so delicious!!
Outstanding entrees. We sat on the 2nd floor. It was loud. The appetizer was a little cold. Service was great. Maria our server was attentive. Recommend.
The patio dining was lovely! Nestled in a more quiet part of Hanover street.
Very good food! Wish they did last take-outy condiments/breads
We had a great time on the St Stephen's Church Patio of Lucia with phenomenal food. The shrimp pasta and ravioli dishes we had were terrific.
Been going here for 40 years. Our favorite..
Food was delicious, and not overly heavy like most restaurants. The staff was attentive and friendly... We also love that it is set further down Hanover street, if you are looking for somewhere with outdoor seating that is not constantly bombarded with foot traffic, this location is great.
Great restaurant, delicious food, and nice staff. No complaints.
The food was absolutely delicious and reasonable. Tje service was incredible. The staff were very friendly. The owner came by several times to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
Although we made a reservation, we were put outside and on the back curb on a slanted small round table. I asked if our table could be moved to a better location. We placed our order and within a matter of 5 minutes our food was brought out and it was room temperature. The food was not hot at all. The gnocchi was chewy. My husbands chicken parmesan was cold except for the melted cheese on top. Clearly due to the overflow tables outside, the kitchen is just pushing out food. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. I would not recommend eating here because they are just precooking these meals and sending it out to flip tables.
My husband and I initially selected Lucia Ristorante to have an outdoor lunch because of its new courtyard seating, made available by the next door church. Not only was the outdoor setting perfect, the food was delicious and the service excellent.
I have celiac and our server was excellent about making sure my food was not cross contaminated. We did have to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time to sit which wasn’t ideal, yet the service was quick and efficient and food was fantastic.
Food was great! Our waitress, Maria, was very knowledgeable and patient with us! Will be back soon!
