Nonna Lucia's recipe, fresh pasta layered with egg, ground veal, Mozzarella & tomato sauce
Fabulous lunch outside on a lovely day. Inside looked great as well. Can’t wait to go back!
Ive eaten here before and had a fantastic meal which i why i booked again for a special occasion . The food was good but service was not as good this time. Had to chase waiter for silverware and to clear dishes.
Good was very good. Our server, Andres was very helpful and professional. We left our credit card, and Hiba was so nice to call us. A great experience!
Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Experience was excellent.
We waited over 30 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. Usually I wouldn’t care about that since I know restaurants are short staffed, but I also had a very rude interaction with one of their waiters. I have a lactose allergy, so I specifically ordered “just penne, baked eggplant, and marinara sauce,” and I was handed a plate of eggplant parmigiana that was smothered in cheese. Mistakes happen, and I pointed out that I hadn’t asked for eggplant parmigiana, in which the waiter angrily shouted at me that I “ordered the eggplant.” I pointed out that I had ordered baked eggplant, penne, and marinara, and he took my plate away in an annoyed huff with no apology whatsoever for getting my order wrong or actually shouting at me over a table. Food was ok. Overall, based on the wait time, server attitude, and quality of food I wouldn’t recommend to anyone- especially if anyone in your party has any food related allergy because the staff can be rude and unaccommodating.
We had a nice outside table, which made us more comfortable given the current Covid Delta outbreak. The outside temperature was perfect! Unfortunately, we were in a corner, so we had to wait quite awhile before a server came to our table. However, once we had his attention, we were well cared-for. We shared the bruschette. My husband and I had the saltimbocco and our exchange student from Italy had the carbonara. The meals were excellent! The food was plentiful. I think my husband and I could have shared the saltimbocco. We had a very nice (not inexpensive) Chianti with our meal. We were quite full, and declined the dolce menu! I would definitely recommend Lucia Ristorante.
Too loud to hear over a table of four, but a great spot with cozy north end vibes. Four good, not amazing, dishes and excellent appetizers. Wine was delicious and the manager or owner stopped to chat with us briefly with which nice. Probably would return for a date or drinks with friends, was a bit too loud and too young of a crowd to have brought my parents.
Our waitress was absent most of the time. Forgot to bring my us bread in the beginning etc. food was quite bland and the past was watery?!
Incredible service and attention to detail for gluten allergy options. Wonderful experience!
The ambiance is amazing. The staff is friendly and the good is beautifully prepared.
Food was pretty great—usually, I give places a high rating based on food but my server was extremely rude. She rushed my date and I. She asked us what we wanted across the restaurant instead of coming to our table. She didn’t refrain from telling us how busy she was and really let us know she didn’t have time for us. I wish I could tell you her name but we didn’t even receive a proper introduction. It was “what do you want to drink” instead of “Hello, I’m _____. What will we have to get started today?” Having been a server myself, I know the importance of my serving skills and how that affects someone’s experience at a restaurant. When my date asked for extra sauce we were met with an eye roll and our waitress practically slammed the bowl down on the table with no words. One of the only times she said anything to us directly at our table, as opposed to across the restaurant, was when she plopped the check down and said “no rush.” The other time she said something was when I voiced to my date that the waitress seemed angry at us and heard us and proceeded to say, “did I do something wrong?”—extremely aggressively and confrontationally. It made us very uncomfortable and ready to leave. She seemed annoyed when we wanted desert—and grabbed the desert menu from our hands. We had no time to clarify a question we had. Although the food was good, I would not return to this spot because of how aggressive and unfriendly the waitress was.
Love the food, love this place, been coming here for 15 years, but MAN it was LOUD!
Our food was not very good. Nothing seem to be freshly prepared, and everything lacked flavor. And our waitress was not the most accommodating and could adequately answer our questions about the menu.
Food was pretty good, but service was off. The waitress filled our water glasses as soon as we sat, but then never showed up at our table. After 20 minutes we complained, then the waiter took care of us. He did his best, but it seemed like he was taking on the tables that the waitress was forgetting. Food was good, and the place is very nice inside. Just thought the “upstairs” portion could be better coordinated, and given more help.
Waitress told us we had to leave after an hour because she had to “flip the table”. Hadn’t even finished our wine yet
Great service! I’ve been multiple times, and it never disappoints!
Dining at Lucia's is ALWAYS guaranteed to be a fabulous occasion.
A late afternoon meal with a dear friend was just perfect.
Our meals were ready quickly and the waitstaff and hostess were just lovely.
Until the next time!
We have unusual food allergies and felt very accommodated for. Owner/manager came out to to check on everyone. The service felt very personal and family friendly.
Food was 10/10, service was great. Will be back again!
Wonderful food excellent service! So happy that the Marriott Courtyard North Station recommended this place for dinner.
Unfortunately, they were completely packed on all 3 floors and in their temporary, outside seating area. The Kitchen could not keep up with the orders and the food and pasta came out cold. The waiter was fantastic and very upset that our meals were not to our liking. I have seen this before at restaurants, where the kitchen can not handle all of the food orders in a timely fashion. We will not be back.
We have been here quite a few times and always love the food. We had booked a reservation months ago for a party of 6, when we got there they said we had no reservation. Luckily I saved the email to show the host and she was able to accommodate us. We will go back again, but I will call before arriving to ensure that doesn’t happen again
Took 45 minutes to get a single drink and came with the food
The food was amazing, but our server was brash, rude, short, and bizarrely nice to everyone around us, except us. She would forget to bring things to the table, and then take away the partnering dish as if we were done when we hadn't started eating yet. If the food hadn't been so good, we probably wouldn't be going back - we'll just be expressly asking for a different server.
The food was good but the service not so much. Our waiter didn't bring the bread when asked and didn't come over to ask how our meal was. He was not attentive at which was very disappointing.
Lucia's was a great experience. All three of four meals hit the mark. One dish that stated it had ricotta cheese mixed within the sauce was a little disappointing because the sauce was dry and there didn't seem to be any ricotta. We asked the waitress for more sauce and while she brought out some delicious marinara sauce, it didn't seem like it was the right sauce for the dish. All in all, it was a great meal and we'll definitely be back!
Were able to dine outside on their patio space, all the sights and sounds of the North end from our table! Food was very good as well.
We were able to secure an early dinner reservation for outdoor seating (5:30pm). We were seated quickly, although we ended up with a table on the street instead of in the courtyard, which looked a little nicer. Tables in the courtyard were empty for our entire dinner, but we made the most of it. Waitstaff was friendly. We ordered the ensalata mista, fried calamari, and the tricolore pasta to share. The menu says the pasta dish serves 2, but it could be a stand-alone entree easily. It turned out to be the perfect amount of food for us, as we had later reservations elsewhere and were hungry again by 8pm. Food came out very quickly, so meal felt a little rushed. Salad was a little watery, but fresh. Calamari was light and not chewy at all. Dipping sauce was delicious. The Tricolor pasta was fun and tasty. Would recommend.
Ok food terrible service. Had to find our waitress to get our food and drinks. No idea where she was hiding.
Least fancy place we saw walking through Little Italy, but the food was excellent.
The hospitality was above and beyond. Friendly and accommodating. It was our 25 anniversary and we had a wonderful evening. Food was great. I will recommend to our friends
Great food, loved the outdoor area, waitstaff very helpful and friendly.
Food was meh. Expected better for north end.
We enjoyed the outdoor patio. We hadn’t been to Lucia for a while. The menu has good depth. Prices are fair and the food was good. Service was friendly and knowledgeable.
We sat outside in an off street area which is actually a brick courtyard of the building next door. It was nice to be set back from the street a bit. The food was great and we even got to see a parade pass by for the Fisherman’s Festival. It made for a great night!
We were not offered dessert. We could not get coffee since they had cleaned up for the night. I would be okay with this if we walked in late but we made a reservation and it was 30 minutes till closing. Our table was a table for 4 with a chair capped off at the end to make it a 5 top. The table was tight and the inside guests had difficulty eating due to the placement of the wall.
Check in was chaotic even with reservation but service was great once we sat down. Food was amazing!
The food was delicious. The staff were kind. The ambiance was great!
Fantastic food and service. Never a bad meal.
