Delicious. Great staff
Boston Marathon celebration.
Pre-race pasta dinner for Boston Marathon. Portions were small for the price. Tables were crammed too close together. So loud, it was difficult to hear the waiter. Family ordered drinks at the bar, limited beer choices and extremely expensive mixed drinks (rum and coke $10).
Our experience at Lucia’s was not positive. We had a reservation and were promptly seated but everything went downhill from there. We were seated upstairs at a small table in the corner by the bathroom. Because it was Boston Marathon weekend, there were two very large tables by us and the noise level was terrible. Our waiter ignored us for long periods of time as he was paying more attention to the large tables. When we brought it to their attention, they apologized and said it was busier than normal due to the Marathon crowd. This is true but they have a Marathon crowd every year and should plan accordingly. At the very least, keep the tables with large parties isolated from the small tables as best as you can.
The food was good but not what I expected based on the reviews. We won’t go back and should have stuck with Panza which has far better food.
It was ok. So very very loud. Could not wait to leave.
Great food and ambience.
Really loved this restaurant. Service was great, food was super yummy.
Lucia was a great North End find! It's a little farther down Hanover Street which makes it even more appealing. I had their special veal chop and it was incredible. It was stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella. The house wine was also fantastic. Would definitely recommend this for some great North End Italian.
Great food, wine and ambiance. Wait staff was amazing!
Very good, great service. Very loud
Everyone is always very nice! Food is excellent!
Excellent for good authentic Italian food. Good specials
Great food! Everyone in our party of 5 was pleased.
Great Italian in the North end. Seated right away and a little bit of everything. Everything is fresh and the pasta is light and well sauced. Great place!
Food and service were very good. It was our first trip to the City and a friend recommended this restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine.
We go to Lucia every time we are in Boston for a game. I know there are other great Italian restaurants on the North End but Lucia has never disappointed us.
Wonderful food and excellent service in a beautiful setting!
Although the restaurant was more than half empty at 6:00, and we had a reservation, we we seated at the worst table on the second floor, right by the door opening. The food was good but your basic North End Italian food. Service was friendly, but we sat for 5 minutes before the waiter came over (again, the restaurant was more that half empty). There are so many great restaurants in the North End, and we thought we'd try something new, but we won't be back to Lucia's.
Wonderful. Food was fantastic and the service was superb. Favorite restaurant in the North End.
Took my fiancé’s two younger cousins, ages 10 and 13, here for their first “real” Italian dining experience. The waitstaff was super patient with them, offering them alternatives if they didn’t like any of the main menu options. The kids ended up loving the place, and finished their plates!
Amazing food. Friendly service. Wonderful experience overall.
Excellent food and service.
Absolutely a perfect experience! This is why Lucia is our favorite.
Amazing food and service! Best in Boston!
Outstanding food and service. Everyone is very nice
This was our first visit to Lucia. The food was delicious. It was very noisy where we sat so it was hard to have a conversation at times.
The food was amazing! Authentic Italian cuisine. The service was excellent! Our server wanted to make us feel at home and did a great job. Will return if ever back in Boston.
Always an amazing meal and great service! Wine, salads, appetizers, entrees and desserts were all perfection!
I absolutely love Lucia's, it's one of most authentic Italian restaurants in Boston!! The food is great, the staff is always nice, and the atmosphere can be romantic when on a date! I always recommend Lucia's to people when they are looking for a great Italian restaurant in the North End!
Our server was excellent! The food was delicious and served quickly but we didn't feel rushed at all. We sat upstairs which happened to have a couple of loud groups but it was still a great experience!
Great menu with many options and daily specials which made choosing very difficult. Our server was Hector. He was attentive and very personable, probably one of the best we've ever had. We were there on a Friday night to celebrate a birthday. The place filled up very quickly. Despite the crowds, we never felt rushed. Looking forward to going back!
Our server, Bill, made our first time at Lucia’s a wonderful experience! Incredibly attentive and perfect suggestions for dinner! The veal chop was incredible! We will definitely be back!
Very nice restaurant and the waiter was exceptional. Very attentive and the nice "smile" was great too!
This was the first time my husband and I visited this restaurant. It was was authentic. We actually have lived in Abruzzo, Italy. The food was very similar to that region.
Overall very solid fare from Federico. Had a nice conversation with him. Very pleasant setting.
Went to Lucia's for our anniversary. Got a very nice booth/table. Our young waiter, Louis, was attentive and helpful. The food was very good. My wife had the Veal Saltimbocca and loved it. I had the Veal Braciolettine and really enjoyed it. We both had dessert, chocolate lava cake and hazelnut amaretto cake. both delicious.
The manager, Frank, stopped by to speak with us since he heard it was our anniversary. We had a nice chat and we told him that we had had our first date at Lucia's in 1981 when I was living in the North End-Waterfront area and here we were 37 years later. Frank was a very nice host.
We would highly recommend Lucia's if you are looking for good Italian food, a nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Amazing authentic Italian cuisine at Lucia Ristorante. We came here for a friends night out and couldn’t be more happy with our service. The food had amazing flavor and the service was genuine. Very cozy atmosphere.
What can I say, professional from beginning to end. Frank greeted us and it was an overall great experience. The pork chop was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Thanks for taking care of us.
Our 'go to' restaurant among the many outstanding Boston North End restaurants: because the interior is beautiful, the staff from reception at the door to waitstaff to the chef are always welcoming, friendly, and attentive to our needs, and the food is wonderful. One of us has difficult food allergies - gluten-free, dairy-free, citrus-free, spicy-free - and yet this restaurant provides her with a wonderful meal every time - and checks to be sure she is comfortable. We absolutely love going here.
Great service, had the veal parm and it was great; kids loved their fettuccine Alfredo. Eggplant parm was a bit soggy though. But overall would go back. Nice ambiance too.
