Best restaurant experience I have had for a long while.

Arrived later in the evening, close to closing. Staff and kitchen were extremely accommodating. Food and drinks were delicious. Would recommend to friends!
Not bad but not great, would not visit again. Did not taste like authentic Mexican food. The churros were not very good.
We've enjoyed this restaurant several times in the past but were dismayed to find the menu changed (and reduced) substantially and some of our favourite items (brilliant ceviches) removed. We found the food generally just "okay", with the exception of a halibut that was badly overcooked and mealy. Worst of all, when we mentioned this to the waiter, the comment was received without apology or concern and with zero effort to correct an unsatisfactory dining experience. We will not be returning. Sad to lose this place.
Always enjoy the most heart warming meals with the loveliest staff! So happy to have a go to fine dining Mexican option in Toronto. Great food, great bar/wine menu, great staff.
We stopped in after a show at Roy Thompson and had a great meal! So much of the food sounded good that we ordered 5 entrees and shared everything, so we wouldn't miss out. We were treated very well, staff was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. My kid was made to feel welcome and enjoyed the food as well.
The food was amazing, ambiance was enjoyable, but unfortunately the most memorable part of our evening was our waiter's constant negging. Backhanded compliments and picking "playful" fights was really unnecessary - perhaps it was his version of friendly behavior, but he should have been more professional.
Great food and great experience. Went here 6 months prior and the food then was fantastic, but this recent visit was even better. It's rare to see a restaurant excel even further in taste and quality of the meal. We weren't expecting that. The menu has changed and did not disappoint us at all. Highly recommend!
Been here three times and first time it wowed us, second time it was good (not great) but this time it was average. We had a 7:00 reservation and yet we were not seated until 7:35pm. They brought our order to the table together but my meal was completely wrong so I ended up waiting for my order while I watched my husband eat so his wouldn’t get cold. No apology or explanation and for my 50th Birthday it was a little disappointing.
It was a return visit and it did not disappoint. Equally as good as our first time.
I had originally recommended this restaurant to a friend for a dinner party, but not anymore. They’ve raised their prices and the portion for the main meal was very small. Desserts are now $13-$15! Not worth it for churros that aren’t even served warm! (Churros must be warm to be soft, if not they are too hard). Waiter made a mistake on our Spanish Coffees and then tried to convince us that this is how they do it in Mexico. (I’ve been going to many parts of Mexico for over 20 years and now go 4 times a year; I can assure you, they don’t serve a Spanish Coffee on ice).
Sorry to say this was not a good dining experience. Food was not good at all. Service was rushed when we sat down then main course took a long time.

Three hours for a simple meal when you are almost the first in the door at 5 pm is not reasonable. First night for a new menu but we based our choice on the menu we reviewed online. Food uninspiring. Ambience nice, staff very pleasant.
Our waiter was outstanding! Wine was delicious unfortunately, the food though made me feel ill. I was up with an upset stomach all night.

Absolutely one of the best meals ever. The appetizers, the mains and the desserts - all unique, delicious and beautifully presented. A must for a special evening before the theatre or symphony.
Fine Mexican dining that does not compromise on its authenticity, or encouragement of getting your hands and plats dirty with shared dishes and warm, comforting cooking. Service was extremely friendly, attentive and fast. Chase made some wonderful recommendations to us; we would have never tried such an exceptional tequila as digestif after the meal without his guidance. Something as simple as a guacamole packed a dynamic punch of flavour, and the meats were exceptionally well seasoned and cooked (let's not forget the garnishes either, because the greens, baby corn and sauces were fabulous complimentary items).
We thought about getting the churro, but you MUST try the flan. The texture and mouthfeel on that flan will change you life forever.
Fantastic food and outstanding cocktails. Our bartender Axel made the best margaritas! Food was exceptional, especially the Tijuana Caesar

Food was excellent and staff was very accommodating and polite. Would recommend for special occasions or fun dinner night out with friends. Will be returning back in the future! 5 stars
This meal was monumentally disappointing - it was like someone took good Mexican food and then sucked all the spice, tang and flavour out of it. I can only assume they have toned it down for tourist tastes, because it tastes like a shadow of what I imagine the chef intended it to be. The crab ceviche had no acid or salt or heat (unforgiveable). The octopus is a few tiny slices of tentacle hidden in a crowd of potatoes and greens (it said lime and jalapeno on the menu, we tasted neither). The poblano pepper was similarly underseasoned. The shrimp were beautifully cooked and had the underpinnings of good flavour, but again, missed the boat on seasoning . Empanadas were probably the best dish, and their corn tortillas were soft and flavourful. Towards the end, we got a couple of hot sauces delivered to our table (habanero, and a peanut-flavoured), and it was TRAGIC because they were complex and delicious and I wondered where the hell they had been this whole time. I get your business is tourists, but maybe offer spice levels up front like Indian restaurants do? I came because of initial good reviews, I won't be back knowing the compromises this place has made. The experience bordered on depressing.

My wife and I visited Los Colibris for a nice dinner before we saw Come From Away at the Royal Alexandra Theatre. I mentioned on the reservation that we had recently gotten married the Saturday before and this was our little getaway. The staff made our dinner so special! We were given a booth for extra privacy and had complimentary champagne.
The food was phenomenal. Special shout out to the Torta de Elote... one of the best starts to a great meal we'd ever had. The margaritas were delicious, and the vegan daily special was very welcome as my wife is lactose intolerant. There was lots of conversation around us, but because of the layout and general ambiance, it was not overwhelming and we could speak at a normal level and hear each other. Definitely coming back!
Good time at Los Colibris, pre RTH event. Get’s very busy, very quickly so we were happy we were there 1/2 hour earlier than our 6:15 reservation. Wait staff very good despite the number of diners. Would dine there again.
Waiter was awesome...enjoyed the cuisine...should offer a treat for those who attend the show.

Great food and AMAZING service. Our waiter Andrew was top notch, he really went the extra mile to make the evening nice and most importantly he was very honest regarding which dishes to order and he nailed it every time.
I was the only that liked my dinner. My friends took the servers recommendation of some stuffed pepper thing and not one of them came close to finishing.
Our server seemed annoyed with us - we were laughing and having a good time which seemed to be a problem.
I was disappointed as I love the downstairs restaurant and have had some great meals there and service was fantastic.
Something happened to this place. The food was not quality. The empanada was dry and over done. The steak dishes all had these mushed up potatoes drenched in sauce with no flavor. The meets were not quality cuts. The octopus looked horrible and tasted worse. Again all of the dishes were done as if hiding the poor quality in some overdone ill flavoured sauce!
I had eaten here before about a year ago, and it was much better.
We have been here many times because we have loved the food and the service in the past. This time we were disappointed. The food was ok, but really not great - especially for the cost. Service was ok, but not great. Not sure we will be back.

Everything was wonderful. It was our first time and our server Kat guided us to the perfect selections. All the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. We loved it.

Got a chance to meet the chef and she is very humble. Her food and her direction in the kitchen ensured that it was top quality and is presented in a way that it makes her guests eat with their eyes. The food was amazing! Can’t wait to go back. Jenn our server, was first class. She knew what we wanted, surprised us with desert and a glass of sparkling wine. She was full of energy and she has passion for food. She is 10 stars ...thank you all!
I’ve been to los calibris a few times, but likely will not go back. Some of our food was nice (tuna starter and the potato cakes with pork), but other (empanadas and chicken balls) were so average you would have had more taste buying as a microwave dinner and heating up. Our server was nice and did ask why we had only taken a bite from the empanadas. We told her why (because they were chewy and tasteless), she passed it on, but they still charged us for them. If you want to drop $150 for dinner before a show, there are many better places to go
