Lone Eagle Grille
Friendly staff! Beautiful beautiful views! Wonderful place to celebrate my birthday.
Fabulous as usual. We enjoyed The whole experience. Bison Hamburgers & crab melt delicious. The crowning glory was the baked Tahoe desert, shared satisfyingly amongst the 3 of us. A great place to experience a getaway from the winter doldrums.
We enjoyed a lot
Lone Eagle Grille is full because it's in the Hyatt. Nothing else can explain why it's full night after night. The food is mediocre. Linguine bolognese tasted as if it came from the same can the tomato-&-roasted-pepper bisque came from. Fried Yukon potatoes were inedible. Baby kale salad and the sautéed haricots verts were fine, probably because the kitchen didn't do much to them. At least our kid enjoyed his bacon mac & cheese. If you're staying at the Hyatt, you're better off driving 4 minutes up to Big Water Grille, where the menu is similar but the food, service, and ambience are much, much better.
Visited Lone Eagle again on our annual ski trip to Incline Village. Everything was excellent from start to finish. Our server Roberto was great and really made our experience even better. One of our favorite restaurants and can’t wait to be back!
The food was good, but not memorable. And for the price, the food should be outstanding. The entrees were very under cooked (my ribeye was ordered medium rare and came extra rare - I had to have them cook it longer). There are much better steakhouses at the same price point.
Roberto is the greatest. Don't lose him. We had a nice cozy spot for the 4 of us. Thank you.
Out of town visitors.
Not only told the hostess and server we were celebrating my sons birthday they never sick his birthday. I was very disappointed.
Food was great and the place is beautiful. Kids menu was overpriced.
We love Lone Eagle Grille! A great dining experience all year round. If you’re ever in Lake Tahoe, make it a point to dine at this wonderful establishment. Gorgeous views and amazing food. Can’t be beat
Always bring my wife for our anniversary dinner. Great place, great food, and great service. The Baked Tahoe dessert is the best.
We visit LE fairly often & felt the quality of service & food over this busy holiday week was below par. Hoping this is not the trend for 2020 but rather was just an isolated issue. 🤞
New Years Eve
Did not have to wait to be seated which was a plus since typically on a New Years Eve night there’s always a wait even with reservations. They have a great crab fondue which we always love. The duck conft salad was good as well. We had the filet and lobster entree which was also good and dessert was a raisin rum bread pudding, also good. Service was average since we had to flag someone (not our waitress) to get another drink or extra fork. Will always go back because of the Tahoe Lake view.
Everything was great, celebrating my wife’s birthday! The servers were very attentive to my celiac which I always appreciate. The steak wasn’t quite up to par with what we normally expect when we go there. Other than that everything was great especially the service!
For a Holiday Evening
Everyone was so Fantastic!! We had Billy as a server
Food was fantastic as well
Thanks Everyone !! Great job
Lone Eagle has been our go to restaurant for a parent night out for the past 4 years. The food is “exceptional “ and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
After an initial hiccup with seating (we have 4 children, one is an infant, and the table assigned to us didn’t accommodate for that), our meal was delightful. Service was impeccable, as always. Our family tradition, at The Lone Eagle Grill, of the final meal before we head home was another success. Can’t wait to be back in a couple of months.
We told it was a birthday and they did nothing. Not even to say happy birthday
Selling premium wine at 2x+ wine store prices
Think they are exclusive for tourist - don’t want locals as it appears to me
We had a 5:45 reservation and was able to get in early and needed to add a small child to the reservations. They were very accommodating. The house Zinfandel was a good choice for dinner drinks.
The food was delicious however the fillet could have used more flavor.
We bread pudding was a great surprise from our server and was delicious as well. We love coming here for the ambience and the Poke!
See you next time!
What a great place to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary and then to get treated with two complimentary desserts. The food and service was outstanding. So glad we chose this place.
This was my 5th visit to this restaurant with my family and It has not disappointed me/us during all my 5 visits. I love the bar scene and we did sit at a window table for dinner and had a great view of the lake. We are definitely visiting Lone Eagle Grille restaurant next year during skiing season. You have a great team that takes a pride in what they do and food is excellent.
Amazing venue with extensive menu, excellent preparation and presentation of delicious meals, attentive service, open kitchen and killer views of the lake.
Great staff, always make me feel welcome and spend time taking to me. Never feel rushed. I look forward to going there whenever I’m in the area.
Ridiculous prices for what you get. And too loud. Service okay not great. Never checked on us.
Food was excellent staff was attentive
Beautiful restaurant, good service, very expensive for decent food.
It was our anniversary and the meal was just excelleny
We have eaten there several times in the past usually for special occasions and the food and ambiance fit the bill. Because of the past experiences, I decided to make reservations for Xmas day months in advance and explained to the hostess that I preferred a quiet table near the fireplace for this special evening on Xmas. She directed me thru the process for making the reservation and never offered to tell me that Xmas dinner would be buffet style only. When we arrived that evening and discovered buffet dining was our only option, I tried to cancel our reservation and was told that my AmEx would be charges $50 per person. Extremely disappointed.
For $600 for a family of 4 it seemed extremely expensive.
The Christmas Buffet was $110 per person. We read the menu beforehand and it all sounded delicious but majority of the food we tasted lacked seasoning/salt. From the prime rib to the (cold) king crab legs to the creme brûlée (which obviously didn’t have any eggs or cream), this dinner was a fraud. If it cost $50 it would have been OK (but still an embarrassment) but we left feeling underwhelmed. We’ve dined at Four Seasons that charged $75 for a buffet and got way better quality than Lone Eagle Grill. Never ever again. Service was so-so. We should have said something but we it was Christmas and we didn’t want to leave more annoyed than we were had our complaints fallen on deaf ears.
Amazing Christmas Buffet - best I have EVER been to! Food was amazing, ambiance, service all were first class.
Way over priced on the holiday. 2 people came to 330
Love Lone Eagle a la carte but the Christmas buffet was very underwhelming. Choice insinuated by the menu does not manifest in person. Meats were decidedly all overcooked - which is to be expected for a buffet, but not a $110 buffet. Crab is great value but again, not for the price. Most of the entrees were not even within whiffing distance of expectation. The icing on the cake for us was the $22 service fee tacked on to the price - not sure if this was a mandatory tip or just another random fee that the Hyatt somehow gets away with charging, but because of it we did not tip additionally. Apologies to our waiter if that fee did not flow to him and if not, shame on the Hyatt for deceptive pricing - no where on the website was it visibly displayed, so that one could correctly judge the price to be $132 instead of $110. Will go back for steaks, wine and sides but will not do so for festive buffets.
FABULOUS FOOD AND AMBIENCE.
Joyce , Bren and Michelle gave us excellent service! It was my husband's birthday and they made it a sprecial event on Christmas Eve!
Lone Grill is no longer for locals. The prices are too high. We have means but the Grill has priced us out. It’s for tourists that have no where else to go. Suggest Hyatt offer locals a 10% discount. Once CalNeva comes online, Lone Eagle will face competition.
