From the moment we pulled up to the valet, we knew this was going to be a great night. The hostess seated us early and our waiter quickly filled our water glasses. We chose the Elk and the Bison and we were not disappointed. The meal came out so quickly that we had not even had a chance to finish the red wine tasting that Tyler had recommended. He was phenomenal! The only misstep was the shaved Brussels sprouts that were undercooked after requesting them to be served well done. The highlight of the evening was being entertained by the singing and guitar playing of Luke Stevenson. I would go to see him in concert! We ended the evening with banana chocolate creme brûlée and a sunset. Did I mention that the restaurant is on the beach!

This is our second time eating here, the first time we sat at the bar, which was great!! The service was awesome, and the food was out of this world.
This time we took our daughter for her 20th birthday, and they were so nice. The waiter, Bryan, and his assistant Dominic were outstanding. You have to try the scallops, they were out of this world. The dessert they picked for her birthday was so delicious. It was ice cream on the inside with meringue on the outside that they toasted. So delicious.

The views and food are always terrific at the Lone Eagle . The service could have been a little better as they tried to seat us where the sun was shinning very brightly in our face and the folks net to us told us that two couples before us asked to move because of the sun in their eyes . The staff should have figured this out after the first couple asked to be moved . The halibut and salmon were terrific and the mussels were great as an appetizer . The service staff seemed very competent and they complimented us on our anniversary several times . A very nice visit except for the sun in our eyes at the outset .

The food was delicious..from the bread assortment to the tomato basil soup I went back for 3 times during my stay! Trout was really good also. I went first for dinner..great..second for lunch..great. third time for dinner..not so great..got put at a table where the wind blew in the door..asked to move and got stuck at the section where the servers huddle...did not enjoy at all and left quickly. Who wants to linger and stare at the cash register!

Food was good but when you’re paying premium pricing I usually expect better ambiance and service. We sat on the patio and it was practically a public walkway. So people in sweatpants are walking by your table talking on cell phones. Not what I want when I’m spending hundreds of dollars on a meal.

Our meal at Lone Eagle Grill was delightful. From the moment we were seated we were treated how you would expect in a fine dining establishment...with expertise and professionalism. Our food was cooked perfectly...the filet mignon and halibut were hits...and our sides, asparagus, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese and shishito peppers were cooked to perfection. The mac-n-cheese was my personal favorite. We did bring a nice bottle of wine to share and were a little taken aback with a $50 corkage fee...so just be aware and bring only your special bottles! We look forward to returning!

Food was absolutely outstanding, extremely tasty and the presentation is fantastic. Nothing beats the view when eating outside of this restaurant

Lone Eagle was amazing. We showed up early to our reservations (I would suggest making one) and headed to the bar for a drink. The bartender was nice and suggested a red wine for us to have. Then before we knew it our table was ready! Our server suggested the game for dinner (Bison & Elk) and we got both. Both were truly delicious. I can't wait to come back here next time we're in Tahoe

I was very disappointed in the Lone Eagle Grille. The food was just OK, the linguini bolonese was all tomato and no meat flavor. The incorrect meal was brought and by the time the right one came my wife was completely finished. The gnocchi were flavorless?, the trout, while good, was over cooked.

We ate on the patio and it was very loud and all of the smokers came outside and smoked right by our table. Pretty much ruined the whole outdoor dining experience. The service and food were great, but very pricey. I’m sure we would have had a much better experience had we been seated inside.

Fine dining??? Ate on the patio. 30 something young men with very young teenage girls crawling all over them. Guys with no shirts. Girls in thong bikinis. Smoking when the wait staff wasn't around and hiding it under the table when they were. Musical chairs, up and down, running in and out of the restaurant. Staff did nothing. Our 45 year anniversary dinner gift from our son... down the toilet. Hyatt needs to decide what kind of restaurant they want to run... and then enforce it.

Made a reservation for our 5th wedding anniversary. We were seated and noticed patio seating. Asked to sit outside and told no. Then it took 30 minutes for our waiter to come to our table. 20 minutes later our food arrived. Food was mediocre at best and at their prices a joke. Only plus was that it was on the shore of Lake Tahoe.

My assistant made the reservation 3 days prior to my arrival with my family to Lake Tahoe since this restaurant was highly recommended by several of my partners and clients. As I arrived to check in at front desk and asking if they can seat me outside (requested in reservation) girl on the front desk said I have to wait 35min, which I was confused since I am not walking into restaurant, i had reservation. Waiters were great and friendly. I guess this place is know for beach access and/or lake view, food was decent. My wife liked Ahi Tuna and my NY steak was good. Steamed mussels that was served to us was not fresh, dish seemed to me reheated in microwave since mussels looked dried up, not steamed fresh, waited took back to Chef but I still was charged for this plate. Good selection of beer and wine. Will not recommend this restaurant in my blog and not to my friends. Restaurant food and interior is over estimated.

We love the Lone Eagle. It would be easy for a restaurant in their location to rest on location alone and plenty of Tahoe restaurants do. The Lone Eagle puts effort into everything else as well. The food is excellent and the service always friendly and attentive. The wine list is fantastic and the sommelier very helpful. We will be back!

The server messed up a couple orders, the yellow jackets were annoying us, which isn’t the lone eagle’s fault, but they didn’t have any traps set up around to attract the yellow jackets so we all gave our food back half eaten...and no one even flinched when we asked them to take our plates so the yellow jackets would leave us alone. Plus, in Tahoe to have to pay for parking unless you spend enough for validation is ridiculous. Especially when the food isn’t that great.

We visited for our 20th anniversary. We were not seated at a requested table by a window, but did get a table across from a window. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier was excellent. We each had an excellent glass she recommended. The noise level was almost unacceptable. It was so loud when we first arrived that we could barely talk to each other without yelling. Our server was very sweet and attentive. My filet mignon was amazing, but my husbands halibut was nothing special. We also had the au gratin potatoes (excellent) and the broccolini (not good). We were also treated to a delicious desert called Baked Tahoe. Overall we enjoyed our evening, but it is way too loud. If you are looking for a quiet, intimate dinner...this is not the place.
