Lola - A Michael Symon Restaurant
In the heart of Cleveland's E. 4th St. neighborhood, this "local jewel" features stunning decor and sustainable American cuisine. Highlights include, beef cheek pierogies, impeccably prepared meats and seafood, inventive desserts and an extensive wine list featuring over 400 selections.
I was disappointed by mediocre, expensive food and service at what is supposed to be one of the top restaurants in the area.
I came for dinner with some old friends. We had a lively discussion around an excellent dinner. The service was attentive and by no means intrusive. Very fine experience overall and one surely to be repeated.
Eric did a really great job of taking care of the five of us, and made our dinner experience very enjoyable!
Just a lovely experience al around. One of my favorite restaurants in Cleveland.
The service was wonderful. We were celebrating our two year anniversary of being together and 6 months before we get married. It was great!
We got there early (5pm) to beat the rush...glad we did. It got a little noisy once the restaurant started filling up (6pm). Food was wonderful, service spectacular, and prices better than expected. Waiter took time to explain the gluten free menu items in detail. We enjoyed our meals and will definitely put this on our list of places to dine for special occasions.
It was a very enjoyable evening! The food was amazing. Our server was very personable and gave great recommendations.
Staff was wonderful with my 2 young children. We enjoyed sitting at the chef’s table and celebrating my husband’s birthday dinner!!!
Our 5th Iron Chef Restaurant. Attended while visiting Cleveland for Red Sox/Indians games.
Visiting Cleveland for the first time, we knew we needed to visit at least one of Michael Symon's restaurant. After Lola, we made sure we visited his two other restaurants. The service was impeccable, the drinks, food and desserts were amazing. Lola is a must while visiting Cleveland!
The squash soup and pierogi was delicious. Service impeccable. Had the chicken and scallop entries and both terrific
Food was amazing. Service was great. Will definitely return
Amazing chef Symon and as expected
Dining at Lola’s was a Bucket List item that my husband and I were able to check off. The food was superb and the service outstanding. I would recommend dining here to anyone!!
It was great. We ate outside and there were a couple of smokers who came outside of the venue to smoke and that impacted my experience. The food was wonderful, carefully prepared and presented.
Everything, excepting the smokers, combined to make a good dinner.
Really enjoyed our evening at Lola! Great food and service. Bartender was awesome! We were visiting Cleveland from Los Angeles. Lola was a highlight of our trip!
Birthday with family.
Always great food
Romantic date night at Lola's! Just like many of you, we've been to many restaurants around the country. Hands down this was my husband's favorite ever! He had the t-bone lamb chops and said they were the best ever! The Dover Sole was fabulous--I could drink the beurre blanc. Cauliflower app tasty but the Beef Cheek Pierogies were to die for. SO--EAT HERE when you come to Cleveland. Don't miss it!
Wonderful atomosphere and amazing food! We loved everything we tried from appetizers to desserts!
The dish I ordered had a lot of flavor, it is not just the recipe, it is the frashness and quality of the ingredients .
This place is exactly what we want. Great service, great food, great atmosphere and great service. Without service you are nothing and that is clearly not the case. A++++ Well done Michael!!!
Everything was “Good” but nothing WOWED me about the experience, so for dropping $200 for 2 people, I could only rate it as a very good experience overall. Being from Columbus and naturally comparing to Cameron Mitchell’s Restaurant quality, just didn’t measure up.
Maybe we expected too much. First, the location is a neat and energetic place downtown. Past this though, the service was adequate not great. Not what you would expect from fine dining. The steak was overcooked, tough. The vegetables were over seasoned. The arugula salad was peppery.. to be expected but it needed something to balance the peppery taste. The polenta was good. We were hoping to be blown away and this was so beneath what we expected. We bypassed desert.
Everything was fantastic! The beef cheek perogie and fish and chips appetizer were amazing as was the halibut! The zucchini soup was spectacular. Service was great!
Our waitress was amazing and the food was outstanding.
Excellent service and the food was of a high quality. My wife and I enjoyed our time spent at Lola
This is one the most expensive meals I’ve had all year. You are paying for the ambiance and experience. My family are big fans of Food Network and this is our 2nd time here. The menu is small but the entrees are tasty and unique. I had to Google some of the terms. Overall we enjoyed it.
My son and I dined there early one week night. I ordered the beef cheek pierogies to share. It was quite good. I then ordered the arugula salad and my son had the butter lettuce salad. Both were very good. Then I ordered the hangar steak which came with french fries. The french fries were excellent and the hanger steak was cooked poorly. I asked for medium rare and most of it came out rare to raw. My son ordered the pork which he wanted medium but it came out well done. For the reputation and the prices they charge I would’ve hoped for a better meal. The service was good until the end when it was difficult to get a check. All in all I was quite disappointed.
Food wa mediocre at best...best thing in the menu was none marrow
Menu was disappointing overall. Vegetarian options were nonexistent desserts were disappointing as well. Server was smug and didn’t show a interest in waiting on us!! I was disappointed and will probably never go back again!!
It was a wonderful and special experience. The food was delicious.. The service was great. Lola is located on a fun street. Overall, we couldn’t have been happier.
We went there to celebrate my birthday with my husband and two teenage boys. The location the atmosphere and the service was great. The food unfortunately was less than OK! We won’t be back again!
We were driving from Philadelphia to Detroit and stopped in Cleveland for Dinner. I watch Michael Symon on TV so we thought we would try Lola. We were so delighted. It is difficult for any restaurant to provide superior dishes for a single course, let alone throughout the meal. One entree was good and everything else we had was outstanding. So happy we stopped there and looking forward to trying Roast when we are in Detroit next.
Our go to place for special occasions and for fine dining. Everything was perfect.
The food and the staff were A+. Everyone went out of their way to make my wife’s birthday celebration one to remember.
Thank you for all you do for u. We WILL return
Absolutely fabulous. Beginning to end.
The ambiance was laid back and classy. The hostess provided 5 star service.
The food was amazing!
Wonderful food, great waiter, helpful sommelier, what more can you ask for?
