Awesome food, great experience. Loved the atmosphere!
If you are looking for a stellar dining experience, look no further. We had seafood dishes that were excellent
Our waiter was knowledgeable and went out of his way to ensure we were satisfied with our entire experience. The food was magnificent. There was noise from the open light. but the low lighting gave the illusion that it’s quieter than it is.
Delightful experience. Had friends in from out of town and they really got to see Cleveland's finest.
Somehow our reservation was cancelled, but I discovered it the day before and they were able to get us in anyways. The food was pretty good but it took 2.5 hours for dinner and dessert. For the price and how often I hear about this place, I was expecting much more out of our experience and waitress.
Traveled from out of state to eat at Lola and it did not disappoint. The food and the staff were both wonderful.
Great food and service!! Would recommend to anyone heading out for date night!
Service was impecible! Food was not. Although it "looked" good the food was overall not good. Of 3 appetisers, 2 soups and salads, 2 entrees and one dessert - an appetiser and an entree was worth it...the rest was not remarkable and they just werent good. We sent things back to the kitchen to be corrected and still they werent good. We expected much more from an Iron Chef's flagship restaurant.
On a much brighter not the service was outstanding - attentive, kind, interracive and not intrusive. Jerrelle was great. Management came around was kind, inquisitive and responsive.
Dominic, our waiter was fabulous! He made our dinner a wonderful experience! We had great conversation about our mutual life experiences!
I am an avid fan of The Chew and Michael Symon. I looked forward to eating here while in Cleveland for the USAT Age Group Championship race. I brought two friends and I think the feeling was unanimous. Expensive and not exceptional. Food didn’t feel just made but like it had been sitting a minute. I was pleased to be able to get a glass of Sherry but it was so odd to be served it in a wine glass and it seemed a bit watered down. Overall a C+ experience. 😒. Sorry, I wanted to love it.
Service was beyond perfect. It's summertime in Cleveland so it's hot outside. Temperature inside was a bit humid. It felt like it needed more a/c. Not good for vegetarians.
Our food was great but our server was even better. He was very knowledgeable. He helped us negotiate the menu since it was our first time.
Reina was an exceptional hostess in greeting us after the Indians game and making us feel welcome.
Wait staff was very attentive and helpful. Meals were excellent. Birthday cupcake for my wife was an unexpected, very thoughtful gesture.
We came from out of town to celebrate our Anniversary. Lola’s came highly recommended and didn’t disappoint. The food was incredible. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was perfect for us. We will be back.
This was our first visit and we were with out of town guests who wanted to visit a Michael Symon restaurant. Lola Bistro did not disappoint! The food was magic on a plate and everyone loved their dishes. From the main courses to the sides, desserts and drinks everything was delicious. It was also my birthday, and I received a yummy cupcake at the end of dinner that was beautiful and just the right bite. We will definitely be back!
I love Michael Symon so my expectations were really high and I was also nervous my husband wouldn't be impressed. Well, everything was amazing! The wine, the apps, the entrees...we were too full for dessert. The service blew us away. I loved that it was fine dining without the stuffyness! We were driving from the HOF and called saying we'd were running late and they were super un understanding and flexible. We had about four servers and they were so helpful and hospitable! The next day we wanted more and went next door to his other restaurant on 4th, Mabel's and it was also insanely good!
The food was on point. I Was impressed with the steak as well as the scallops. The bone marrow was delicious and i haven’t had better Creme brûlée anywhere else yet.
It was a bit noisy. Likely due to the indians game going on. Valet is also located directly next to the restaurant. No worries about finding your car!
The Best Meal I ever ate, and I'm a retired Chef. Yes, there's a reason why Michael Symon's an Iron Chef.
One of the reasons we traveled to Cleveland from Rochester, NY was to go to this restaurant. Everything was fantastic, will definitely make that road trip again.
Exceptional experience! From the food to the service, Lola does not disappoint! They brought out a complimentary anniversary dessert and then when they found out my boyfriend is in the military they brought out an additional 3 desserts!! I can’t say enough about how wonderful it was.
Excellent! Lola’s never disappoints. Cold corn chowder with crab was exceptional as was all food. Our bartender was outstanding. She even created special martinis! Delicious and creative. We loved it so much we went back for cocktails the next night! Highly recommend. Our favorite spot in Cleveland!
It's still our favorite restaurant even if I personally disagree with the small changes in the menu.
The strip steak was fantastic, and my husband got the scallops- equally scrumptious.
We had a great dinner...the only problem was that it was extremely warm boardering on hot inside so it was uncomfortable.
Excellent choice, which far exceeded our expectations. Food was superb and so was the service.
Loved the experience!!!!
It was a delicious dinner
My wife and I took our three boys, 11,12 and 14 out to their first white table cloth dinner. Stephen, our server, could not have been better! He was great with explaining the menu and helping them with their choices. From apps to dessert, everything was spot on! Great atmosphere and a wonderful experience.
This was my 2nd time there. This time was with very special friends and I was hoping for something far above the usual better restaurant. Lola's met my standards as I knew they would. Management and staff at Lola's are absolutely top notch and this night was no different. Our friends with us liked the perogies so much that the next day they ate at the Cleveland Airport Symon's on their way back home.
Specifically, the wait staff were always attendant to our needs, highly alert for everything and anything that came up during the entire dining experience. My water glass never got less than half empty and empty plates were quickly removed in preparation for the next delicious course. They were friendly and patient. One of our party was having a difficult time deciding on which dessert and the waiter was completely patient and helpful until she was happy with her choice. If he felt any impatience, it was not evident in any way. He seemed absolutely committed to giving us a great evening and his own needs were clearly put completely aside so he could take care of us with complete attention.
The food at Lola's is always simply out of this world. My arugula salad was perfect and in no way an afterthought. It had subtle flavor and none of the bitterness that you sometimes encounter with it. We had appetizers and they were lovely. The perogies were especially good, light and flavorful, so much so that as mentioned, our friends ordered more the next day! My entrée, a lamb shank was truly amazing. The flavor was scrumptious, the meat so tender, I told the waiter it was an "A+" when he came by to ask how everything was. Our friends ordered dessert but I was completely satisfied and happily full. They loved their desserts and at the end, it was just a great night.
I would eat at Lola's again and again. It is a great restaurant and in my thoughts, one of the best ever that I've ever eaten at in my whole life. I would recommend it to anyone who wants the best.
I was staying in Downtown Cleveland for business and looked to see if there was a Michael Symon restaurant close by. There were actually 2 so I chose Lola. I had the braised lamb shank and was very pleased. It was served with polenta and cherry tomatoes. Overall, the meal and the service were excellent. The only down side was that it was a bit pricey.
I came here for a birthday dinner. My dining party thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere of the restaurant. We'll definitely come back again.
Overall food and service was excellent server was excellent without being overbearing food was delicious cooked perfectly and presentation was wonderful would definitely recommend and return.
Lola's has to be at the top of their game everyday. As a business visitor to Cleveland ,they are high on the list of restaurants to dine at. They didn't drop a notch when I was there earlier this week. From the greeting at the door, diversified menu choices, excellent and attentive service and delicious cuisine, they excelled at everything.
Don't pass up Lola's !
Service and Food were excellent. All three entrees we had were five star. One issue - noise level was a little loud and made for difficult conversation by the end of the evening.
Our family truly enjoys eating at Michael Symon restaurants, especially Lola. The atmosphere is always energetic and fun. Our service was excellent. Our waiter provided clear descriptions of the specials and the items on the menu that we were less familiar with. Each member of our family ordered different entries and appetizers, so we had the chance to eat and enjoy a wide variety of foods. Each food item was elegantly displayed and tasted excellent. We ordered our favorite wine (Lulu 62) and took a second bottle home with us. Thanks for helping the pace for quality dining in Cleveland.
Delicious food and wonderfully friendly service. A Cleveland gem!
The food is excellent. Seriously, top notch. Highly recommend it.
The server had a very bad night, waiting too heavily on one table and ignoring the needs of the others. The chain reaction caused very long waits for multiple tables. Sadly the restaurant did not react well to the issue as there were 6 other wait staff hanging out near the bar with little to do. Gotta be more aware of what's happening in the dining room and adjust as needed. No reason to pay $150 for dinner if that's the service to be expected.
After all of the hype this chef got for beating the Iron Chef, my expectations were high. My pork chop and my friend's steak were both mediocre at best, as were the sides. The service, however, was quite good as were the cocktails. Still, I had one night in Cleveland and wanted to splurge on a great meal. To paraphrase what some say about curiosity, mediocrity killed the cat.
From start to finish, one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.
Lamb and salmon was just average. Pork chop was outstanding and flank steak was really good.
Part of the reason we came to Cleveland was to eat at Lola and it did not disappoint. The serving staff was very attentive and helpful. All of the food was delicious and inventive with the exception of the hangar steak which was chewy, but perhaps that is the nature of that particular cut. The bone marrow and Lola fries were recommended and each was excellent!
